This video saved my hair. I've always wanted to get a taper but I kept getting a fade thinking that it's the same. Until I stumbled on this video and showed it to my barber and found out she's a fan too. Now my hair looks exactly how I wanted it to look and I couldn't be happier.

I prefer a taper fade and I don’t even like all the hair at the lowest point gone. My clients don’t ask for the super “barbered” look. I like a natural hair line, cleaned up, not “stamped in” and then scissor over comb work. I appreciate barber’s skills, though. It’s good to know what to ask for.

Bro. I asked my barber for a taper and bro left me with a low fade. During the cuti asked him for them sponge curls and bro was like "i got u". Gave me a comb, told me to comb out my hair and then dipped. Came back and idek what he put in my hair then took a flippin towel and rubbed my head. Messed me up so bad. In the end i had a low fade with a messy, terrible top and i was like ye i like it😭😭😭😭
Then bro had the audacity to talk to my mom telling her how this the style everyone has these day while i was standing with some borris johnson shi. "If u walking the streets u see all these niggas have this hair cut" were his words😭😭😭

He’s saying don’t go any lower than a 2 guard for the MIDDLE section. If you go any lower (1.5 or 1) the mid section will essentially connect the nape and sideburns. Ultimately, looking more like a fade than a taper.
