Dear Jay, I purchased your Ubuntu Book and have been watching all your recent videos such as this one and I am happy to announce that I have passed the LPIC Level 1 Linux Administrator thanks to you. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with the community. Also Thanks to Tom Lawrence for letting me know about your Channel. Thanks and many blessings to you Jay.
Wow, that's great news. Thank you so much. I'm happy you were able to pass that cert and that my content helped you along the way. It's the reason I do what I do. Cheers!
You are so humble and soft-spoken; out of all the Linux TH-cam channels I've found, yours is the most enjoyable. I thank you sincerely for sharing all this excellent Linux knowledge of yours in such a down-to-Earth manner. I see Linux as a way to wield ultimate power over my computer system and I think that one day, soon enough, with the help of your wonderful tutorials, I will achieve that status of a "power-user".
Creating a helpmeet user 998 ('sim one') for scripts is a good idea. What does a '!' password in /etc/shadow mean? Excellent video series 👍 Kindest regards, neighbours and friends.
3:06 its linux one liner and you are root shell.. still works..and there is manu of them...and you can make own c program do it ..all included. you need keyboard access..you own machine
Hi, I'm a beginner Ubuntu admin. I want to know when I create a new username for a new user, does that user use Ubuntu Desktop? And, should Desktop join to Server, like Windows. Thanks if you answer my questions. I wanted to ask my question in your community, but I realized that it's not free. Regards, Davood

Got an error upon trying to delete:
sudo userdel -r batman
userdel: user batman is currently used by process 5900
try this: sudo userdel -rf batman.
It helped me.
