I think it is unfair to compare the Aria to the Vela. The Vela sound better in each and every way. I guess the Kanta No.1 is the one to compare to the Vela. That’s how good the Vela is.
@@DigitalPhilosophers the vela tweeter is really so so compared to the TNF Tweeter. You won’t feel this front row presence with the Vela. The bass and the soundstage of the Vela is better, so overall it’s a better choice but the details are far more refined with focal speakers. As far as the Kanta there is not contest with Beryllium IAL3 tweeter, but as I mentionned Elac is a better choice overall speaker, and it's also a brand easy to pair with amplifiers. But if you like bright speakers with sublime vocals and accoustics, Focal in my opinion is a better, starting from the Chora line.
Congratulations. I am also finding out more on the Vela. The cute baby is a pretty good helper.

Nothing can't beat Focal sound signature, but Elac is an incredible brand!

Those speakers must be second hand.
Those are definitly not originally packed by Elac in Kiel. Never ever so far was an Elac Speaker made in Norway.
The first Velas were made in Norway.
I said there is “VELA“ written on the jumpers. That’s wrong. It is “ELAC“.
