This watch is amazing 🤩. I just recently picked up the SARV003J1 which is very similar to the SARY057 but more affordable. My watch actually has Lume on the hands and indices.
I just bought this watch. It is a very sharp looking watch. It wears well and has a very nice band. The only drawback is the lack of luminescence. I didn’t really consider that before making the decision to purchase this watch. I love everything else. It feels like a quality machine that should cost much more.
Still running as great as ever! I'll confess that I've moved on to other watches since then (Tudor, Stowa, and others) but this Seiko does make its way onto my wrist from time to time. The condition still holds up as well, it looks like the same condition as in this video I recorded years ago. Enjoy the watch! I know its brought me years of enjoyment.
...or you could get a Seiko with a 6R2X movement which is more accurate than the lower end Seikos. No need to go for a GS to get for a higher beat movement alternative within the Seiko family of mechanical watches.
I don't understand why they didn't make the seconds hand extend all the way out to the edges as they did on the sarb033? The minute hands is also shorter. Also, the hour markers should be closer to the outer ring as well, not pushed inwards. Otherwise it's a good looking watch.
Only thing that kills it. No lume. It's sad. We spend half our life in the dark. Not good for a dark restaurant. Bar, in bed. So simple to drop the ball. Seiko is the best watch in my opinion.

Hey, what's your wrist size? Thanks
7.0 inches, cheers!
I have got the SSA355J1 with open heart dial. On the whole a nice piece. However the clasp seems to be cheap.
To me this is more of a dress watch than the SARB033 since it doesn’t have lume

Hey bud, a friend of mine who lives in Japan just sent me one of those bad boys, three years later, how do you like it now?

It's BEAUTIFUL! Going to be my dress watch, soon. Great review video.
I think this better than SARB033. I like the size better. Good choice.
Thank you for your review. I ordered the same watch from seiyajapan today

How much did you purchase it for? It seems they've gone up in price lately? I remember these being below $300?
Nice review

Dress watches traditionally does not have lume. SARBs having lume for example is not the norm.
