From what the owner told me at that garden center when we bought it was used as a static display prop every year since it didn’t work. He actually wasn’t selling it either since he wanted to keep it as a display but we convinced him. It was $80 I believe due to not working. Also I’m pretty sure he came with no adapter in the box.
The little yellow component is actually a fuse. The wrong adapter was likely used on it, burning up the fuse. The more pricey life sizes all had the feature built in to protect against that and I think it's great. However a little in vain because there is next to no documentation about how to replace the fuse. So in most cases it doesn't make a difference either way lmao

Mine has the same yellow component bad on it. I can’t have it’s head connected with it cutting out. Once the mouth moves he gets distorted and just turns off

Great restoration you did great

Everything I bought from there (which was a lot) was fine board wise except the haunted head lol

Motor resistance prob
Problem is high resistance from the motors or gearing that fries the board.

Maybe it’s the same problem as my Life size dancing Santa flat base! It won’t dance & Sing either. When I plugged him in, he won’t move his mouth.
And what is the difference between the 06 model and the apparent 07 model
I think the eyes are just wired to move the opposite direction, 2006 was spirit exclusive 2007 was buycostumes and another place idk- jobeanvideos
The 07 model also has higher pitched audio and the audio is a little more amplified.
