A tip i learned from an uncle who does Windows and doors is to never pull a caulking gun, always push the bead. It forces it into the crack, uses less product and leaves a nice bead you don't have to clean up.
Great you found the leak, I used soapy water and a clean kitchen sink brush to clean up my windows to find my leak. I'm in the UK and sunset is 16.17 last light 16.54 according to my weather app. Sucks to be at this time of the year, mind you at least some fun with Halloween, Fireworks night (British tradition) and Christmas parties. I know you like you beer but I found the last two years its really nice to down one shot of spiced rum when coming in from the cold (like snow cold).
Hey Jerry , sorry I've been so quiet lately . Many family deaths lately. Anyway , when I had my soft top before it was stolen many years ago I never had any leaks. I replace it with a hard top and guess what it leaked next to the A pillar. So I replaced both of the door seals and guess what it still leaked on both sides . So after many different attempts to pin point it , I found it was leaking next to the A pillar but on the hard top. So I bought a tire patch kit for bicycles and cut two small patched out and glued them to the hardtop on both drivers side and passengers side an wala all fixed and no leaks. Funny thing is that I'm thinking about going with a soft top again. Take care and catch you on you next one.

I’m sorry to hear that things haven’t been going well for you. Losing friends or family is not easy to deal with. Take care my friend.
@@BackCountryWrenching Thank you so much Jerry .
Nice fix.
I’m not sure about nice but so far it’s holding out until it’s time to get a new windshield
glad you found the leaky windshield. It never showed water stains or trails on the inside in the past?
No strangely it never did
