    Your title had me thinking you were almost saying goodbye to making videos. I’m glad your not stopping the videos, I always enjoy coming home from work watching your videos or surprise weekend video. Thanks for all you do Jerry and keeping it real, it’s much appreciated! Congrats on the new vehicle. Looking forward for more videos on that and others as well! Once again thanks Jerry!

    My last two vehicles were from a shop that specialized in "mechanic specials". They both needed basic things like a new radiator and various work done on the brakes but they both cost less than $1K. For someone that likes to work on cars it's a great deal and ends up costing less in the long run even after the cost of parts. Cheers to the new project. 🍻

    For the way my 2003 Grand Cherokee treated me, I would consider another unit like it even if it had a salvage title. As long as the paperwork is done properly there should be no issues.

    Unbelievable how car manufacturers seem to make servicing vehicles "intentionally" more & more difficult. I swear, if manufacturers had their way, they'd make simple things (like replacing a battery or adding air to one's tires) proprietary & require ppl to visit (or tow) their vehicle to a dealership!

  • @zoidberg444

    Are these SUV's actually better in the snow? They seem to have a lot of mass and be much higher off the ground. For the odd week or two we have snow and blizzard conditions in England it always seems to be the SUV's and the RWD Mercs and BMW's that are in the ditch or wiped out on the side of the road. The small FWD hatchbacks and the AWD cars like V70's and Subarus and some of the real 4WD's are always the ones that seem to cope best.
    You'll miss the Jetta - though if you're only driving 35KM to work then its probably best to get a petrol. In the winter your Jetta probably has a hard time getting up to temperature. I see a lot of people at work with diesels that have issues especially in winter because of short journeys and that's in England where our climate is milder than Alberta.

    • @BackCountryWrenching
      @BackCountryWrenching  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are amazing in the winter, the Jetta is no good to me at this new job. 12hr shifts in winter had to stop driving it when it was below -20 cause it wouldn’t start. Poor heat when it was cold, not very good on icy and or snowy roads. They don’t plow the side streets here so once we gotten enough snow and the streets were rutted I’d have to stop driving the car
