The Chosen holding back the all of the infantry in the army was hilarious. I was wondering why they were stuck and didn't expect to see the Chosen there.
The Bretonnia build looks perfect to me but there were so many misplays. 1. Over extended. 2. Stopped playing the second objective. 3. Focused archer fire on the fleeing Shaggoth instead of the one stuck in combat. Could have also focused on the non-shielded units more. 4. Repeatedly charged into their own infantry with their cavalry, tar pitting yourself. 5. Was too afraid to use the Hippogryph Knights for a very long time. In my experience with them, they work best fighting a unit alone or together with a hero/lord. They tend to underperform when put into situations shown in the video.
Yeah I was surprised to see him charge the hippos into the blob fight when the hounds were flanking nearby. I think letting the side objective go to WoC was the clincher. If he contested it more would have had Turin under a lot more pressure.
I feel like having even just one Field Treb in the backpocket to help bunker bust those Chosen could've made a world of difference... As it stands, the Brets just didn't have any effective means to get rid of them quickly. Course, running your foot general up deep into enemy territory without any support - which also renders her banner item worthless(!) - probably didn't help matters... _still,_ the less said about that, the better..!
I see what you mean about chosen of nurgle... 51MD for a 2h AP unit is kinda bonkers. Cool build Turin. Grandfather's blessings!! Thanks for casting! Love your work 😊
I think the Fey with her mortis would have made a big difference here. She counters Festu's healing and is difficult for chaos to remove. Add henri with guardian and Gotrek and you have a fearsome infantry deathblob that can grind through your armored infantry core. I also question the hyppogryphs. They perform well on paper but don't give you any capweight on the battlefield. Had your opponent spent that on more cavalry he could have capped the farthest point since you had no real mobility there to counter cycle-charging.
Fay is large on unicorn mount so she'd get shanked veeeery easily by anti-large halberds and shaggoths, even with gotrek and henri. Not to mention the fact that she feels far less tanky than in WH2 when sitting amongst enemy heavy infantry, even non-BvL ones. Finally, she doesn't give the relevant melee buffs and the mortis drain effect is also very meagre in WH3, all things considered. Overall, Fay is just too easily snipeable with insufficient payoff to warrant over combat lords.
As the above reply mentions. She would have died real fast. She can't take hits, so I agree fully with the chosen build. They only lost because of several misplays I noted in my own separate comment. Hippogryph Knights are really strong but they were poorly used. They were too afraid to use them and then threw them in battles they can't perform well in. How they should have been used is to have had them attack alone units. The chosen in the west objective for an example. They would have taken them out. Especially if you use a cheap cavalry charging in the back while they fight the Hippogryphs. Would have taken them down fast.
@@synthelione3714 I specifcally mentioned an 'infantry deathblob' so that excludes the unicorn mount. The shaggoths would have trouble focusing her down especially with spear and cavalry support. She has a comet item that could have cleared infantry and he wouldn't have had to spend extra cash on a seperate caster. This frees up another combat hero. I have succesfully run builds like this versus chaos but it's a tough matchup regardless.
@@ReachStudioPro That would have taken an extremely expensive centerpiece unit away from where it would find oppertune targets for a long time, and as I stated hyppogryphs cannot hold points. Capweight tends to be a big problem for Bretonnia as their cheapest full-cap units are battle pilgrims at 600. They tend not be competitive versus chaos so the next in line are foot squires at 700. That is why I prefer more cav in place of the hyppogryphs. If Bretonnia had access to non-expendable chaff like Empire then I understand going for hyppogryphs, in the absence of that tho you need more knights.
I think the inability to take down Festus was one of the key factors of the match. His attempt to use his peasant archers on the shaggoths and warriors didn't pay off as well. Very skilled match though.
They need to fix target hitting when an enemy is running away, Festus took no damage when running away from 2 single entities though they were right behind him and just dry humped him instead.
Isnt this a great matchup for the Beastslayers of Bastonne? I've never seen them in action. Arent there one of the better Bretonnian anti large options?
I thing I really appreciate about ur channel is that u dont do do stupid commercials for stupid ass products(poor quality earbuds, gaming energy drinks etc etc) Keep It the good work ❤
I love seeing the BRetonnians in your batreps, even when they don't win. But Repanse on foot just seems weird. I know it is to avoid the mounted/large status. But still ....
Seeing one of the shaggoths functional from start to finish and the skullcrushers get a lot of value was incredible to see, awesome build.
Everyone: "Whoa Shaggoths!?"
Me looking at the Nurgle Chadsen: "I just think their neat"
those 45 Chosen taking roughly 1k Bretonnian infantry to the Hot Gates was something to behold.
Woooah shaggoths? We back in warhammer 2 boys
First time I have seen them in tww3
Yes!
Thanks for that. I thought I remembered dragon ogres being very strong.
Whoo-a brown shaggoth bam balam
As a primarily warriors of chaos enjoyer, I love seeing your replays of WoC builds. The double shaggoths and chosen were so cool to see!

The dreaded spec op chosen.😂
Glad to hear Multiplayer is in a good place with better maps, no more lord unsummoning, and the new mode that prevents corner camping.
I loved it when Festus said "ITS SHAGGING TIME" and SHAGGED all over Repanse
I dont need any mental images of festus shagging repanse, than you.
This is the best use of Skull Crushers that I have ever seen in a ranked match!
Yeah the restraints in waiting until the perfect time was really good
The mountain god is smiling somewhere in the chaos wastes
MOUNTAIN
GOD
Seeing elite heavy infantry putting in work after years of underperformance brings me so much joy
SHAGGOTHS?
Welp my day just got made

The game is so hard lol
Awesome battle, so glad the CA was able to remove some of the bad maps and add some of the created maps from the community!
76 speed is great for a BvL monster. It's like a beefier Carnosaur, possibly with slower turning speed but still.
Just the OG BvL killer in the game
I Fart in your general direction!
If a Shaggoth did that it would probably kill half a unit of peasants

The did have one, they just never brought it out for whatever reason.
Dragon Ogre shaggoth trying to snipe Felix is quite lore friendly
Double Shaggoth?!? I choose to believe this is specifically for me, after my old metas comment

Hopefully CA buffs the skullcrushers of khorne into a proper monstrous cavalry
I feel betrayed beyond believe - Shaggoths in the title and no Kholek to be seen. 😞

Love the WoC build!
Can’t believe the Wookiee knights paid for themselves, love to see it
what a troll move by your opponent to pick the parravon banner into your standard WoC one
Isnt this a great matchup for the Beastslayers of Bastonne?

Decent yeah!
It's alright everyone! Turin is allowed to say it, he has the s-word pass.
Quick question, it seems every match I watch Felix is involved but no gotrek. Why is that?
Shaggoths getting their scooby snacks. Gg.
I thing I really appreciate about ur channel is that u dont do do stupid commercials for stupid ass products(poor quality earbuds, gaming energy drinks etc etc)
Keep
It the good work ❤
The severed claw is my ideal unit.
Tiny, 6lb 5 oz, baby lil Shaggoth.
Am I the only one wishing that regardless of who's playing... Really wants Order to win 100% of the time?

I love elite armies
shaggots
the cornerstone of every doomstack in warhammer 1
Turin showing his build to the wife: th-cam.com/video/2GsW5ja2Ghg/w-d-xo.html
Great game! But still gotta say it... "For Bretonnia! For ze lady!"
what a madman
i quite enjoyed this one
Badass match!
Hellooo There, was just about to open TWW
Guess it's time to nerf the bloodcrushers.. ;) gg
GGWP
More AOE 4 FFA please!!!
No more AOE?
That was some juicy melee grind right there 🫠. You love to see it
