You can still use the same work and pay agreement but add to it that you the owner will retain the ownership of the vehicle for a period of time before the work and pay starts, its always important to clearly discuss these terms with your driver so he understands before signing the agreement. Once the agreements are signed and witnessed, it becomes a legal document.

Some people prefare to do that, but its not needed once you have have your signature and the drivers signature and also witness from both sides, that documents becomes a legal documents since you both agrees to the terms in the documents. Poeple normally requires a lawyer to go through the terms so they know its fair for both sides.

I wont recommend taxi where the owner owns vehicle and driver only makes sales. There is a high chance the driver wont take good care of the vehicle which will end up as a liability for you the owner. Work and Pay is the best so far as the driver knows the vehicle will become his in the future and any damages is on him, so they take extra care of the vehicle. For Kantanka vehicles from research, the small vehicles (Kantanka Amoanimaa) will cost around 40,000 to 45,000 cedis. The company will take care of the registeration and everything and you also have the option of paying in installment. If you have the funds i will say go for it :) its always good to support Ghana Made Products 😊

And another plus for a brand new car is that you will get some years warranty with the car so incase something major happens you can always take it back to Kantanka for them to fix or have a look at it for you. Yes, you can start with Daewoo Matiz please then as you grow your business you can get a Toyota Yaris/ Vitz. most work and pay drivers are happy with the Daewoo Matiz cos it's small and very good on fuel consumption, and it's very easy to maintain. If I'm to compare the two, Toyota Vitz/Yaris is stronger than the Daewoo Matiz but that shouldn't stop you from starting.
From a driver, owner and much experience with these cars, here is my opinion. yes the matiz is a fuel saver but it cannot stand the continues engine run. picanto does well but also cant stand the harsh roads. the Yaris would have been perfect but the price is very high and the consumption it at 1.5 liter. the ultimate will still be the vitz that ranges from a 1.0 to 1.3 either 3 plugs or 4. all it needs it the right amount of maintenance. Please always take this note carefully and remember its not a cheap investment
