THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE IS TRUE AND VERY HELPFUL. I HAVE A SOFTENER AND A FILTER BECAUSE I HAVE WELL WATER , FULL OF IRON. MAINTENANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND GUIDANCE..... BOTH ARE FLECK 5600, THEY LAST FOREVER . ONCE AGAIN THANKS........
I just got my new water softener! The tech that installed it told me to only put two bags into the tank. I recall my uncle had a softener and we always filled the tank with salt... 6 or 8 bags? Which is right? Only two bags looks very empty and I want to add more... may I? THANKS!
Michael Scott Karpovich yes you can put more and you need to. The reason is so that there is enough salt for the water to dissolve in order to regenerate your media beads. I tell customers that you should keep your salt above the water level so you cannot see the water. I hope this answered your question Have a great day. :)
I noticed that your tank's brine well doesnt have a cap/lid.. neither does mine.. is that normal? I see most other people have a cap/lid on theirs... hmm...
What happens if I accidentally forget to put the small lid back on when I add the salt an it goes into the other part where I’m suppose to pore the softener at
Just purchased WELL WATER SOFTENER AND IRON REMOVER WATER SYSTEM KDF85 48000 grain do I still need the aerator for the sulfur, with the kdf85 media guard?
I have a GE water softener have been using for awhile Now I have an issue that water taste salty and salt clogged faucets A lot of water in the tank I did cleaned the filter but problem still remain, so I ended up to turn it off Please help if you know how to fix it Thanks
I would check to make sure theme is correct, then I would take all the water out of the tank because there should be no water in it until it begins to regenerate, if the salt tank begins to fill up again then the problem is you need a rebuild kit if you have 5 screws it is a 3/4" and if you have 8 screws on top then it is a 1' system. This is for 3/4' amzn.to/2PkdojX How to th-cam.com/video/zP6_jRoz5uA/w-d-xo.html If you need a 1' kit go to softener parts .com
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I have been preparing for the next semester of school, it really doesn't matter on the type of salt that you use in your water softener from my understanding. So you should be ok with using and kind of salt however you'll want to get a reverse osmosis if you don't already have one and you can get one here amzn.to/363oRcp I hope this helps
This is exactly the answer I was looking for. Thank you!

anthony warnock no sir you shouldn’t. With the KDF 85 you’ll want to turn your pressure switch up to 70 psi

You da man
Need help
Anna Perez I’m sorry I didn’t see this earlier. The good news is that it is ok if it falls down inside the salt tank everything will be fine
So I've watched about 5 videos now and everyone seems to agree that the salt should be above the water in the tanks, so I guess I need to buy salt.
Yes sir, you are correct
Dude is a bit old to have a 3 year old but thanks for the info 😅
