Daniel, I wanted to thank you for your video. I had a problem with my oil filter adapter gasket leaking and your video was very helpful. I watched your video and replaced mine. Problem fixed. Thank you.

That’s the first time I’ve seen a Mopar motor painted John Deere green. Cool!

      It's lime light.

@@danielkahn8013 I figured it probably was Limelight. Coloration on my screen made it appear different I think.

Thanks. I couldn't find the torque spec for this either. Good & tight will do, I guess.

That will leak too. For some reason I have had to double gasket every Chrysler small block ive built.

I added four holes to the plate ,.. matching the filter inlet pattern.
    less impedance

One question. Did you remove the right-angle adapter for this engine? I believe the right-angle adapter allows clearance for a high performance exhaust manifold.

Mopar does have a pack for it that comes with a gasket for the bolt. Mopar part # p524 9320. I sued it on my 1974 mopar 360

kind of weird set up with this oil filter adapter kit
in one of the mopar forums i've read that that banjo bolt does not need a gasket but we have seen that cork material (on other video with similar mopar set up) has to be scraped out so the new gasket thightness will hold right according to specs, so that cork gasket goes inmediayely right after the plate inserrted in the banjo bolt
until now everything is ok, right? sure ..
on these same mopar forums there's a guy that argued against that other outer seal, that appears to be located right before the filter's plate and goes inserted in the banjo bolt right after its nut (the one you use to tight it in)
iow, that mean that the banjo bolt sealing sequence goes:
      1. banjo bolt
      2. filter plate
      3. cork gasket
      .. and that's it
that's weird because the outer gasket is not used while supplied with the filter's service kit; which translates into:
      1. banjo bolt
      2. outer seal
      3. filter's plate
      4. cork seal
one guy even suggested that the plate should be checked for deflections, and if that is the case, the filter's plate should be hammered against a wood block, and check the distance between the filter's plate and the short block before it makes contact - they also suggested to make more holes for that filter's adapter ( the main bearings will be glad you did) lol
any way, after reading all this, bc im rebuilding a 1967 318 LA engine and i was not the guy who pulled those filter's pieces apart i think i will really have some fun with this project 👀
