This came out soo pretty. I am Mexican and there is NO WAY this is offensive. Calaveras are art and as with any other art form, the artist's interpretation is unique and there is no "right" way to do it. Everyone who is pretending to be "offended" is just ignorant. Get over it people, she's awesome.
Reading the comments, I have no idea why anyone would say that she copied Michelle Phan......I went and watched both of Michelle's Sugar Skull Videos, and neither of them look anything like above. There are hundreds of videos on how to do a Sugar Skull, each one is unique. Sugar Skulls can be done many different ways, it is an interpretation of you and what you want to do. I think it is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful design.
Non-Mexicans: "THIS VIDEO IS OFFENSIVE SUGAR SKULLS ARE FOR DIA DE LOS MUERTOS NOT FOR HALLOWEEN STOP APPROPRIATING CULTURE" Mexicans: "dude this is so cool"
I'm mexican, and I think this is cool 'cause gives me an idea of what can I do in Dia de muertos, wearing this makeup and a traditional mexican dress, just saying.
the detail is beautiful. I think the flower colours contrast beautifully with th eblue outline on the eye sockets. don't know if it was on purpose but its fab! best i've seen yet
A mi me parece muy bonito y está bien realizado. No sé de qué se ofenden, lo que sí hay que aclarar es que no es una disfraz, es una representación y no es de Halloween, es de Día de Muertos. :) Me gusta.
i want to do this for halloween but seeing how people are so offended i don't. i know the meaning and what it's for but i wanted to recreate it bc i think it's a beautiful holiday and has a beautiful meaning behind it
What a beautiful sugar skull design. I absolutely love the petals on the eyes and thought the stitches were an interesting twist. Very well done! Thank you for sharing!
The only thing I would change when re-creating this look is that the mouth isn't supposed to be stiches, they are teeth. But other than that it's cute! Oh and btw, this is nothing like Michelle's so everybody hop off.
look tbh i might be really really late but just to let you haters know that in the beginning of her video she says shes just doing this for fun or was i just the one actually listening...?Like Grow Up Already She Is Doing This For Fun,Its For Halloween...If You Have Mean Things To Say About Her Dont Write It Cause You Never Know She Can Be Reading Your Comments And Be Hurt About It.
Love how you put the flowers inside the eye sockets! And the colors you used are beautiful! I have celebrated dia de los muertos many times and those colors are incorporated throughout the festival! 😃 love it!
in calling her a "White Girl" youre being offensive. she was incorporating our hispanic art form into her own. she said so herself that shes not trying to offend anyone.. ITS FREAKING MAKEUP people get the fuck over it. THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY!
+Luccy Miranda its not racist as in "mexicans are awful ppl and rapists and lazy!!!111!!!" ( i dont think that btw just an example) its racist as in taking Mexican Culture and turning it into profit. She stole your culture and made it meaningless. Its wrong. Because Mexicans are killed and discriminated because of their race everyday.
non-Mexicans 'omg this is so offensive I can't believe you did this' Mexicans 'omg this is so cool and not offensive at all we are honoured' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mexican speaker here: this is fucking offensive. The fact that some of us don't seem to understand the reason why this is not okay is very sad and horrible.
True! This was truly amazing and definitely compliments the spirit of The Day of the Dead. It's lively and colorful and festive just like the holiday. One of the best sugar skulls I've ever seen!!
technically the lines on her lip are the teeth...plus she wanted hers to be unique to her...i swear it one thing to just comment but if you see your exact comment there just thumbs it up instead of bombarding the video with the same thing...some people don't even do a full faced sugar skull...she made disclaimers before the tutorial and some still had to find faults...i liked it and i don't think i have seen one with flowers in the eye sockets before :)
Stop saying this is so offensive!! I thinks it's good and awesome. For the haters that say it's not..screw you! It might not be accurate, but the fact that someone dedicated time and money for a cultural holiday is awesome!

Catalina Pacheco dude its Halloween makeup calm down lol. if she wants them to be stitches then she can, its sugar skull makeup you can do whatever you want for it!
Hey well I celebrate Dia De los Muertos, and I dont see this disrespectfull at all. I think that its great that many people have different ideas for sugar skulls and am glad they can share their creativity. I know for our day of the dead dance this weekend, this type of make up and creativity for our folkclorico dancers would be amazing. Its beautiful, its art. Plus she said at the begining she means no disrespect.
She said she isn't offending anyone whilst portraying this as a costume. Unfortunately for me, her argument isn't convincing. She says she doesn't know anything about Day of the Dead and I find this offensive. The problem for me is the aspect of making this tradition into a costume. It's not a costume. It's not supposed to be cool or trendy like a t-shirt and that is what it is becoming, commercialized. Once a year, I celebrate a beautiful tradition accompanied by many ceremonies to venerate my loved ones akin to people in the U.S. visiting cemeteries to mourn their relatives who have passed. This is how I grieve and celebrate their lives. It is more than just pretty makeup. Yes, her makeup may be cute, but she is also appropriating another's culture taking away from the tradition's meaning and identity. It's flat out racist (yes, you can be racist without being intentional). Additionally, engaging in these types of acts also leads to the homogenization of cultures. Within Latin America, many people celebrate Day of the Dead, but not all individuals do. Different regions have different traditions and only signaling out this aspect of the tradition erases its diversity. This goes the same for individuals dressing up as Native Americans, wearing sombreros and Tequila princesses (the list goes on of course). Not all Mexicans wear sombreros, and not all Latinas are sexy and trying to seduce you. It's a mockery. If you truly respect the tradition, I invite you to find a Day of the Dead celebration near you. Visit and see what it is all about (Mexican restaurants in gentrified suburbs don't count). If you want to engage in this aspect of the tradition, do it on the right days and honor it. Also, to the people who are apologizing for being too angry and taking this too seriously, don't ever apologize. After all, I consider the death of my grandma, cousin, and brother to be a serious matter. Feel free to comment and I'll gladly have a discussion with you. :) #itsnotmexicanhalloweenitsDiadeLosMuertos"
***** Thanks for commenting! The problem with thinking that it is cute or pretty is that someone's culture gets stripped down to just a commodity. This, in turn, results in people viewing the culture as trivial and less. Think of Native Americans and how people say "Oh that Navajo outfit is so cute." You are addressing a culture like you address a child. In terms of the sombrero, if you were to wear a sombrero in a predominantly white neighborhood, the people who have had no access to the actual culture will assume that everyone from that culture looks like that, perpetuating stereotypes. Yes, Mexicans don't walk around in sombreros. It is also problematic in terms of race and power relations given the history between the U.S. and Latin American countries. In terms of Day of the Dead, I have no problem with people who aren't of my culture engaging in it as long as they take it seriously and don't see it as something trendy. That's great that you want to get to know more about it! I really encourage you if you have the chance to visit a celebration and do the sugar skull if you want while you are there. If you can't, you can always write a paper about it, talk about it with other people. It's a great discussion to have. Additionally, I want to note that this is my own opinion and by no means do I represent my entire culture.
Halloween is our tradition and I think if people wanted to be a sugar skull let them. If they didn't like ur culture then the WOULDNT have done it. Personally I think its fine. I respect the culture and all but I don't like when people are like "It our thing no one but us people who come from that heritage can do it." I think it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. So don't be all butt hurt and get over it. People only wear it ONE night let them. And just cause u hate people to be them im going to do it. Thx for reading
alexis tryan let me explain. Its not that we think no, you non-Mexicans shouldn't do it. Its that you don't respect it. As in, its just makeup, its just Halloween, its just dress up, omg I look so pretty. No. Its not supposed to be any of that. Assuming so would result in your lack of respect for other cultures and shows your uneducated. I've learned about Samoan tattoos and they're beautiful! But when the tradition was born, it was only given to those who were royal, who earned it. As much as I love the Samoan tattoo, I wouldn't get it because I respect what they believe in. So that's it. You're gonna be a Sugar Skull? Great! Join us and celebrate it correctly on Nov 1 and 2 also create the altar we usually do to remember your loved ones. That's culture appreciation. You're welcome.
Can people not take inspiration from this, on the "Day of the Dead" ceremonies? I mean, it looks amazing. Also, while people may label it as a sugar skull, for some it might just be a nicer way of being a skeleton for halloween. Like, you know, how people do those scary looking skulls? Idk if im rambling now :P
Yeah, they can. I mean that's all it is to most people of course. Just as long as you don't say its nothing. The only thing people found offensive in this video is that she told us not to be offended because it was a "Halloween" thing. It makes it sound like she has no idea of what it is and she doesn't care, kind of thing. Honestly, I'm over it and I shouldn't find it surprising but just think about others out there before you say something, you know?
People need to shut up because honestly you are very talented and whether you copied someone or not, they are just jealous. And really, its not like people havent copied others before. c'mon, i mean its youtube... -.- let her do whatever she wants and stop being so butt hurt about it.
To everyone saying this is copied from Michelle, please do elaborate. How is this copied? Of course it looks similar, it's a sugar skull so isn't that kind of obvious? The only thing that looks similar is the overall consept. This is her version of the traditional sugar skull, Michelle had hers so why diss either one because of similarities? No one is copying here as it doesn't have anything exactly the same. Did Michelle have petals on the eyes? No. Did Allison have a heart on the spiderweb? No. They both have their own way of styling this...
i seriously love you your so talented and an inspiration to me and so many other girls! when im having a bad day all i have to do is what one of your videos and instantly theres a smile on my face so thank you so much, keep up the great work!
The stitches didn't make sense on a skull. those lines are suppose to be teeth lol...but i love the whole design besides that with the flowers and stuff(:
i've read the comments here in this video and im so sad to see that people are being.....ugh nvm :( can we pls just appreciate? just appreciate. nothing else. is that so much to ask?
It's the equivalent of her painting a funerary wreath on her face .-. And if she is referencing Catrina, then it's even worse as she is supposed to be a statement for Mexican pride.
I'm Mexican, I'm not offended at all. It's interesting to see different portrayals of the sugar skull and I think everyone needs to calm down. Halloween is a day people can be what ever they choose to be and if they think the sugar skull is beautiful then let them create the beautiful look. I know the tradition and I know its importance but the sugar skull is an aspect of the celebration not the ENTIRE meaning. People dress up as more ridiculous things like a Mexican in a poncho and sombrero or sexy nuns. I don't think wanting to recreate the image of a sugar skull is offensive some people make an amazing design. They think the sugar skull is beautiful and so do I and I'm doing this to be something beautiful for Halloween and to celebrate the day of the dead.
Just because you are a part of the race, and don't think it's offensive, doesn't mean you get to say it's not offensive. "it's okay because I'm not offended!" Speak for yourself.
Gabriela Dubrocq from my bad Spanish I can tell that you think it is disrespectful of her and Christians would think the same if a Hispanic person dressed like Santa Claus. However she said clearly in the video that it is no intended to be offensive. And a Christian would not be offended if a Hispanic or any other person dressed as santaclaus. As long as it is not intended to be offensive
Fall Out Pilots At The Veiled Disco You didn't read well, you got confused, what I said in english was, that all spanish speaking people who were disrespectful with her are stupids, I was defending her in spanish. Because a lot of people wrote that she was taken the mexican culture, so I putted that all those people who celebrates Christmas are doing the same thing, and she did the paint without any offensive intended. Don't you worry for the next time I will write on english.
louise c you are right my friend you don't know how read very well in Spanish umm she was defending her(the TH-camr) saying that the people who do get offended shouldn't because if the people who are Hispanic and use santa clause isn't part of there culture but yet the celebrate it yet get mad when someone that isn't part of their culture celebrate day of the dead or do a fun video on their traditional sugar skull do you understand now
blurryfacelesterr its not that, as part Mexican I'm offended that she doesn't know the true meaning behind the makeup and the flowers and all the fancy stuff. Its great she's appreciating my culture, but at the same time she's really only appreciating the outer appearance whilst there is a deeper meaning and much darker meaning to it.
Pigeon As full Mexican, I don't see anything wrong with someone wanting to appreciate my culture. To say that someone can't experience my culture because liking it is "offensive" is total bullshit. people can like and do what they want. Sorry mija but this isn't tumblr
rac·ism ˈrāˌsizəm noun "The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races; Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior." Wow! Look at that! Someone please point out where any specific race is mentioned. Someone please go against this dictionary definition and tell me why racism against white people isn't a thing. 'Reverse racism' is not a thing, because you can't reverse it. Racism is racism, it doesn't matter what color you are.
@@jessy9989 Well, no. People of all shades and colours have been racist, like, forever. But white people with their often advanced technology flatout arrogant mindset have been most “sucessfull“ with it. Being racist was at some point in history just normal.
HONESTLY! This makeup is used to celebrate the DEAD. OUR LOVED DEAD ONES. Not to get candy, or comments! If you don't understand what this makeup is for then PLEASE don't use it. It's very disrespectful.
I understand what you are saying, but I think its a beautiful way to celebrate the dead, and I love that people use it for Halloween too because its amazing all the different styles they create. Its a beautiful thing, and though i understand why some people might find it offensive, I love how they show our culture. 😀
Were you actually raised in Mexico? Because I notice how people who don't live in Mexico are the ones who get the most offended about people from other cultures wearing Día de Muertos-themed makeup, while us Mexicans raised in Mexico actually enjoy sharing aspects of our culture with people from other countries.
This sugar skull design is so cool!!! I absolutely love it I did one for Halloween but disinterested do color, but I absolutely love yours I would defiantly do yours if I did a sugar skull for Halloween!!! 💜
It's true they're supposed to be teeth it's basically taking something from another culture and turning it in to something stupid she could at least do it right
I don't have a problem with you doing this but could you at least look up the tradition behind it? Dia de Muertos is a beautiful and sacred holiday and it kind of sucks when it's being made into a fad halloween costume, especially if you consider the meaning behind Dia del los Angelitos. I think you have a lot of talent and you do this beautifully but please do it with respects to my culture
I'm saying making it into a halloween costume without looking into all the cultural stuff behind it isn't the best, kind of like wearing an indian headpiece without knowing the weight behind the symbol. I think she does this beautifully and I would encourage her to join any Dia de Muertos celebrations that may be happening near her because she does this beautifully but people turning it into a fun halloween costume perpetuates the motion from a great holiday where people gather to celebrate the lives of loved ones into a new fad at hot topic. Ya know, instead of thinking of it as a crazy mexican costume think of it as awesome Dia de Muertos makeup
I think he fact that she said she didn't know anything about it like it was silly and not worth researching made her look bad. It's one thing to be ignorant of the culture but she knew what she was doing was controversial and didn't even bother to Google why.
I think it looks really good, & I like the flowers on the eyes. One thing I can't help wonder is since you used gel liner to outline the eye sockets & flower, if later you had issues getting it off. Last year I tried a similar look & just used what I had, which was a gel liner-big mistake on my part, lol! I practically had to chisel it off my face! But, I did do just plan black circles around the eyes, filled in solidly with gel liner, while you just used it to outline. I should've used liquid to fill it in, but I thought it would crack.
I looooove all of the details!! Specially the flower petals in your eyes!!!! So very talented!!!! I try to do the white base but it never comes out right :(
sweety, sugar skulls are not part of Halloween. They're part of the day of the dead, in which we celebrate and morn the pass of our loved ones. SO YES THIS IS SERIOUS, you're interpretating that our holiday that meant for the loss of our loved ones is mixed with the celebration of a pagan holiday. so before you say something isn't serious please take the time do a little research on it.
lol you think their gonna research..its just like 5 de mayo they think its a day to get all fucked up but dont know that our ancestors died fighting the french for the beautiful land of mexico
I'm Mexican, and to all the other Mexicans that don't find this offensive I just have to say... estan pendejos. This is called cultural appropriation. For one this white girl barely every mentions Dia de los Muertos which is where this originated from, and uses it synonymous with Halloween as if they're the same thing. They are two different holidays with their own traditions She is not Mexican and has no reason to be doing this make up
"for one this white girl..." thats realy racist. it's not right to be "telling someone off" for racisum, if your gonna be racist yourself bro. just saing.😧
El Toro You are the one who is being the racist here dude, and this is supposed to be for fun. Just because she is not Mexican, that doesn't mean she cant love sugar skulls or making makeup tutorials for sugar skulls. Just because Tacos are considered a "Mexican Food", not only does Americans and other people eat them, everyone enjoys them. Why are we judged when it comes to culture and not food then? What is the difference? Mexicans love American food and our culture, so how come us "white people" try to enjoy Mexican culture and we are branded "Racists and Insensitive"???Just because she didnt say anything about the culture behind the makeup tutorial, that doesnt mean she is being insensitive towards it. This is a makeup tutorial, not a Mexican Heritage video. Jackass. She can love anything she wants and for you to say that "she should not be doing this makeup" makes me want to beat the shit out of you because it is people like you that are ruining society by judging those by their Culture. How would you feel if i said "Oh he is Mexican, he can't be eating burgers and pizza here in America. This is only for Americans. You stupid Mexican". It hurts being branded by your culture, so why the hell do it to others?
El Toro Also, just because she didn't say where this makeup originated from, or said anything about the amazing culture behind it, it doesn't take away the meaning of it, and she isn't discriminating it. She is making something beautiful from your culture and you have the guts to say she shouldn't be doing this? You should be happy that us Americans enjoy Mexican Culture because I am pretty sure that if we didn't, we wouldn't allow immigrants into our homeland.
STFU. You don’t speak for all Mexicans. There’s a history behind this, not just an “aesthetic” to appropriate and use for likes
Non-Mexicans: "THIS VIDEO IS OFFENSIVE SUGAR SKULLS ARE FOR DIA DE LOS MUERTOS NOT FOR HALLOWEEN STOP APPROPRIATING CULTURE"

lol I just realized that i love people doing these xD
+20009Erika I'm in my house, joke's on you! :)
Omgggg im mexican and im doing this for halloween!!!
I'm mexican, and I think this is cool 'cause gives me an idea of what can I do in Dia de muertos, wearing this makeup and a traditional mexican dress, just saying.
I'm Mexican and I think it's wrong....
wow you are so talented! Especially love the flower petals around the eyes
Jesus, those colours are absolutely stunning... !

Adrien Whitted was bad, just wanted to be funny hahahaha
What a beautiful sugar skull design. I absolutely love the petals on the eyes and thought the stitches were an interesting twist. Very well done! Thank you for sharing!
The only thing I would change when re-creating this look is that the mouth isn't supposed to be stiches, they are teeth. But other than that it's cute! Oh and btw, this is nothing like Michelle's so everybody hop off.
yes it is and you know it
wait what?
not teeth actually
why woul teeth come open on some sugar skulls aand be straight lines skeleton teeth are not straight dear!!!!!
plus they are sticthes because its her design ifyou cant see her teeth are on her lips!!
So, so amazing. When I saw your instagram post of this I had to show EVERYONE. Beautiful and talented. You are just incredible.
Generally the "lines" are meant to represent teeth, otherwise i really like this. The flowers on the eyes really pop
I love this version of the Sugar Skull! I think it is unique and so colorful! Really great!
look tbh i might be really really late but just to let you haters know that in the beginning of her video she says shes just doing this for fun or was i just the one actually listening...?Like Grow Up Already She Is Doing This For Fun,Its For Halloween...If You Have Mean Things To Say About Her Dont Write It Cause You Never Know She Can Be Reading Your Comments And Be Hurt About It.

This is hands down the best sugar skull I've seen on youtube! You did great
I'm mexican. I know my culture enough and I DON'T GET WHY THIS IS RACIST OR EVEN OFFENCIVE by any means.
Relax people :)
PS: Awesome tutorial !
I agree how is it racist
+Luccy Miranda its not racist as in "mexicans are awful ppl and rapists and lazy!!!111!!!" ( i dont think that btw just an example) its racist as in taking Mexican Culture and turning it into profit. She stole your culture and made it meaningless. Its wrong. Because Mexicans are killed and discriminated because of their race everyday.
+CAMAKEUPXO How is it racist? its shining light on Dia De Muertos..
+CAMAKEUPXO OH, So that means that every single other youtuber who has done this tutorial is racist too then?. You are talking utter dog shit.
+Emm Courtney yeah... It does mean that lol
Oh man, I love this! Especially cause that blue tone around your eyeholes is my favorite color! Win.
Love your tutorial! Very helpful. I was happy to see someone do the petals. ;)
Yes we need more comments like yours. :)

you did a really good job on this! I liked that you added flowers on the eyes I think thats a unique touch that you don't see very often
technically the lines on her lip are the teeth...plus she wanted hers to be unique to her...i swear it one thing to just comment but if you see your exact comment there just thumbs it up instead of bombarding the video with the same thing...some people don't even do a full faced sugar skull...she made disclaimers before the tutorial and some still had to find faults...i liked it and i don't think i have seen one with flowers in the eye sockets before :)

oh my god!!! this is the best one yet ! im in love
Honestly, I'm over it and I shouldn't find it surprising but just think about others out there before you say something, you know?
this is absolutely unbelievable!!!!
People need to shut up because honestly you are very talented and whether you copied someone or not, they are just jealous. And really, its not like people havent copied others before. c'mon, i mean its youtube... -.- let her do whatever she wants and stop being so butt hurt about it.
its so lovely!! i don't care if are catrina or sugar skull..you make your best!!! and i love it!!!
Why did she put stitches on a skull it doesn't make sense
exactly what i was thinking....
I liked how u went there with the flowers inside ur eye socket that was cool I loved it.
I love this look but baby girl ... They are teeth not stitches ... 😔
Oof
Ok 1) you are extremely beautiful and 2) this sugar skull is equally as gorgeous. Subscibed!
Nice tutorial. But just so you know, the stitches are supposed to be teeth
I will never do this on myself - but I watched all the way through just to admire your skill!!
xx
The stitches didn't make sense on a skull. those lines are suppose to be teeth lol...but i love the whole design besides that with the flowers and stuff(:
I love the petals in the eyes and the stitching.
viva México y la catrina !
I LOVE the petals!! Amazing job as usual!
i've read the comments here in this video and im so sad to see that people are being.....ugh nvm :( can we pls just appreciate? just appreciate. nothing else. is that so much to ask?
It's the equivalent of her painting a funerary wreath on her face .-. And if she is referencing Catrina, then it's even worse as she is supposed to be a statement for Mexican pride.
i love this and think im going to try it out! only question is what kind of outfit/costume would you wear with this?
stitches on a skull? so clever girl (SARCASM)
This is SO PRETTY! I'll be doing this for Halloween, but I'm not sure what designs I'll be using yet.
Your sugar skull is the best one Ive ever seen!!!!!!!
Just because you are a part of the race, and don't think it's offensive, doesn't mean you get to say it's not offensive. "it's okay because I'm not offended!" Speak for yourself.
YOUR EYES ARE INCREDIBLY DONE OMG LOVED OT
Don't you worry for the next time I will write on english.
louise c you are right my friend you don't know how read very well in Spanish umm she was defending her(the TH-camr) saying that the people who do get offended shouldn't because if the people who are Hispanic and use santa clause isn't part of there culture but yet the celebrate it yet get mad when someone that isn't part of their culture celebrate day of the dead or do a fun video on their traditional sugar skull do you understand now
I love how you did your eyes they look beautiful and you did the rest of it fantastic.
dang I was gonna do this for Halloween but if it's so offensive then why bother if it's gonna cause so much drama for the person doing it.
I say do it!
Do it
+Gabby Hughes im doing it.
I'm literally obsessed with your videos and you omgggg. You're amazing.
Better than Michelle Phan :)
ikr
I love how you put the flower petals on your eye.
Does it bother anyone else that the fact she said STICHES there not stiches there teeth
YES!!!! Teeth! Not stitches!
She's soooo good I absolutely love it I've subscribed x
On the internet everyone is always offended by any form of expression. Smh
blurryfacelesterr its not that, as part Mexican I'm offended that she doesn't know the true meaning behind the makeup and the flowers and all the fancy stuff.
Sorry mija but this isn't tumblr
by far the best sugar skull tutorial I've seen! :)
rac·ism
ˈrāˌsizəm
noun
"The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races; Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior."
Wow! Look at that! Someone please point out where any specific race is mentioned. Someone please go against this dictionary definition and tell me why racism against white people isn't a thing. 'Reverse racism' is not a thing, because you can't reverse it. Racism is racism, it doesn't matter what color you are.
+lauren kibler Reverse racism is called that because white people invented racism, pendeja.
@@jessy9989 Well, no. People of all shades and colours have been racist, like, forever. But white people with their often advanced technology flatout arrogant mindset have been most “sucessfull“ with it. Being racist was at some point in history just normal.
Allison you are so talented, this is amazing!
Skeletons don't have stitches..😒
LPS Wolfie *sugar skull
LPS Wolfie there are teeth not stitches
LPS Wolfie ohhhhh hater alert lol jk but i think there teeth
I just bought all the makeup for this. I'm beyond excited
Dia de los muertos is not Halloween and shouldn't be used as a costume.
and you can't tell it's cultural appreciation because she just said she has no education about this holiday
These looks are amazing! All of you are super talented
HONESTLY! This makeup is used to celebrate the DEAD. OUR LOVED DEAD ONES. Not to get candy, or comments! If you don't understand what this makeup is for then PLEASE don't use it. It's very disrespectful.
Not really! People decorate their faces like this to celebrate, to honour- not to be disrespectful.
"Stitches"? Really. Lmao. Those supposed to be "TEETH"...
it's her look so she can interpret them however she wants
If you look again, she has both stitches and teeth.
no their not
who cares its Halloween makeup and its her sugar skull makeup she can do whatever she wants with it:)
It's true they're supposed to be teeth it's basically taking something from another culture and turning it in to something stupid she could at least do it right
Wow you killed this! Love the color choices too
I don't have a problem with you doing this but could you at least look up the tradition behind it? Dia de Muertos is a beautiful and sacred holiday and it kind of sucks when it's being made into a fad halloween costume, especially if you consider the meaning behind Dia del los Angelitos. I think you have a lot of talent and you do this beautifully but please do it with respects to my culture
She isn't disrespecting anyone.
Ella nunca fue falta de respeto que...
I should've used liquid to fill it in, but I thought it would crack.
para nada es una catrina mexicana te falta mucho saber el significado de cada parte de la catrina y menos esas cosas q le pusiste como si la calabera estubiera cosida como una muñeca de trapo tr quedo horrible por favor no distorcionen nuestra cultura .
ay no seas exajeradaa ..!!
SO YES THIS IS SERIOUS, you're interpretating that our holiday that meant for the loss of our loved ones is mixed with the celebration of a pagan holiday. so before you say something isn't serious please take the time do a little research on it.
lol you think their gonna research..its just like 5 de mayo they think its a day to get all fucked up but dont know that our ancestors died fighting the french for the beautiful land of mexico
gina Andrade chill it's just a Halloween makeup tutorial
gina Andrade You realize it’s just a makeup tutorial, right?
Halloween is a day you can dress up as santa clause if you want.
@Miss 'Vadum actually Halloween is American culture, and we dress up however we want.
Wow! That looks so cool and you did an awesome job :) You're really talented with makeup.
loved how ur eyes came out! the whole thing was nice tfs!
They are two different holidays with their own traditions She is not Mexican and has no reason to be doing this make up
+El Toro How do you know if she is Mexican or not?
Btw we r not *assholes* :)
