From what I've seen, the remake pattern has nothing to do with the generation. Rather, it has to do with the console. There's never been more than 1 remake on a single console, even when there's multiple generations on a single console, unless it's a weird tie-in for pokemon go, like how let's go was.
I really want them to add a Grass/Fairy regional variant of Roserade (i.e. Kalosian Roserade). Its lore could be that the Roselia in the Kalos region were bred to prioritize the colors of their flowers, much like roses in real life. Adding more fairy type Pokemon is perfect for Kalos, and it would also fit the region's theme of beauty (and COME ON, Roses are so unapologetically linked to France, which Kalos is based on!)
What I WISH they’d fix from the original X and Y story-wise would be to show where Xerneas and Yveltal ACTUALLY come from. It was very disappointing that you just catch them in Team Flare’s hideout, and we never got to see where they’re supposed to reside. Sadly, with the description they’ve given of the game, it seems like that’s not going to happen And on another note, they REALLY should either give us a way to keep Xerneas in Active Mode or just get rid of Neutral Mode entirely. That form does nothing but make it look LESS COOL outside of battle
(not so) Fun facts: Xernias, Yveltal, and Zyguard aren't available in Pokémon scarlet and violet, and are the only legendaries unavailable (probably due to balance reasons) the fairy type has been dead since 2020 in the Pokémon tcg, and is (technically) the only type that has been removed from the game.
I mean technically not the type itself that died, as it was moved over to the psychic representation, but yeah, kinda odd. Maybe they realized there weren't enough Fairy mons to make it even with the rest?
New Legends ZA evolutions had conditions that couldn't be met anymore in present day. Considering Kalos was canonically destroyed in its entirety, we could see some remnant Pokémon that somehow survived AZ's machine (seasonal migration, hibernation, etc.) that are on the verge of going extinct by the time of the new Legends game that are all gone in modern day.
as someone who's first gen was g6, i am cautiously optimistic for ZA, i don't play the actual kalos games much anymore, but i still have nostalgial for the region and i really hope they don't flub it.
I hope every single game from now on will have a Clay relative. Or a Mars relative, since she's probably got Arezu, Silver, and Ariana. Hell, put Volo in every game and have the box Legendary as a dorky cosplay in the back of his shop, give me more reoccurring sad immortal dudes, there's never enough of those.

I’m honestly still a little salty about gen 2 not getting any attention this gen. However, even though gen 2 could use some work (namely level curves), x and y is a whole other beast, so I’m glad they’re getting attention. Still split on this one.

As a newbie Pokémon fan (I only got into it when the Let’s Go! games came out) I’m excited to see Gen 6 on switch as it’s definitely one of the generations I know the LEAST about as a result of it’s treatment Lol
If they have to add more Gen 5 stuff hopefully it's limited to just Alt Shelmet & Karrablast evoes and 2 to 3 megas (here's hopes to one of them being Golurk so AZ can have a buffy Ace). Otherwise lets give Kalos Mons like the starters, Malamar, Heliolisk, Carbink and Noivern megas to give Kalos at least the level of love Johto got with megas.
Gonna be real that Gen 6 was when I tapped out of Pokemon. But it really seems to have some interesting possible uses. The mystical pokémons barely feel like they exist. I have never seem a Huppa
I don't like the games, but I love the anime and at least there, it was peak. Wish we can get a bit more of that world, although we have seen the main characters of that anime move on in life
To me the longer they wait on doing gen 5 stuff the better. Pokemon games for the past decade have been subpar quality and while Legends Arceus was a step in the right direction, there was still a lot it could've done better. And BDSP certainly don't give me hope for good faithful remakes of black and white.

It's a bit of both. The first Pokemon game for the Switch 2 will be Unova. Then it'll be Gen 10. After that, I expect craziness to occur.
