I really don't understand why my lecturer gave us an assignment based on this video because i'm really not getting any information out of this on how to become a competent group member.
+Kadesha Wright to sum things on this talk: If you are an INTJ (Introvert Intuitive Thinking Judging) person.. (those who dont work well with others like her(Emily)..) you should consider collaborative learning using these few steps.. 1. Understand and Articulate your unique perspective 2. Explain your quirks 3. Value the collaborative process..Encourage Others 4. Know your goal..Work Hard.. Conclusion : As an individual you can be defensive and get the work done your way..but as a group the sky is the limit if you share a common goal..
Emily is an innovator (if not an inventor) and it's generally a long & lonely road to travel. The collaboration comes later, when the idea has to be validated or the invention tested, brainstormed, enhanced into a project. Sounds medieval; but true. But before she became an innovator, like many of us she had a dream. The difference lays is her early a success in life. And she has the guts to tell it as is. We need more people like her, er, i think
If you ever want to lead a business, you are going to need to know how to get the best out of your employees, which requires a group effort. Technical skills are just a component of what it takes to be successful. I'll invest in a group of employees led by a well-rounded smart individual who can lead, over a smart individual with no leadership ability leading other smart individuals any day.
I want you to know this video was assigned to me but was worth 1 mark out of ten. Sorry but nearly 13 minutes for 1 mark is not sustainable, maybe if I was in a team and we could split it into sections.
My right ear enjoyed this video.
very lovely
I wish i read that before I wasted all that time playing with my bluetooth
Team Up
Best class
Is this a video every teacher gives there students for a "why group projects work" assignment?

"Individual commitment to a group effort--that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." --Vince Lombardi.
i would hate to be in a group with her
i hate everything about this. a story about a self-absorbed individual that doesn't know how to work well with others until late adulthood? hate it.
im so perfect I don't need a group everyone else is slow
Saying students don't have life experience is incorrect. Our family is the first place we learn about collaboration this should be spoken about more.

This is a woman expressing the same view as Gavin Mcinnes, which is also a TED talk.
