About this game:
The Pedestrian is a 2.5D side scrolling puzzle platformer. You are The Pedestrian! Enter into a dynamic 3D world with stunning graphics and challenging puzzles.

NL had 2 possible doors to link, of course he only tried one and reset the puzzle ignoring the second door...

No, he was right -- he wouldn't have been able to reach the ladder in any of the signs that were still available at that point.
@@Pikashou You can enter the door in top-left piece, jump down to the ladder,
fall into the piece in the middle,
door to the bottom Z piece,
jump up in the ladder just like he did on the very first piece and it's done.
@@Pikashou He missed the piece on the top left. Using that you can connect everything and win.

I think that exact moment shows why NL mostly stops 1 step away from a solution: "Let's go back to the drawing board" and disconnects all links, even though he then has to do the same with 1 aditional link.
I think he just panicks when he doesn't see the solution right away because he's afraid of being boring.
Heh, funnily enough this game's character creation allowed for a more accurate represantation of NL than TemTem's did. ;)
This game looks stellar.

Your character in this game is actually an SCP who can manifest itself on any sufficiently flat surface that can be written on.

I think NL has always been decent at puzzle games, but he always tries to solve them as fast as possible because he's afraid of boring the audience. If he doesn't succeed he starts panicking and becomes blind, hence 26:15.
@@stanislasvillard2795 As such it comes across as if he's not actually thinking but just trying every possible combination, brute forcing every "puzzle". Head first against the wall.

Gotta love when egg uses the box correctly but thinks he screwed it up for some reason.
This game is like super old right? I swear I remember a game with similar aesthetic (stick figure-y sort of thing from signs) where you connected rooms like that with lines and drag/drop the rooms. I'm certain because a game sort of prototype someone else and I worked on in college was inspired aesthetically by it; that was a good 10-12 or so years ago.

That might be what I was thinking of. Still a bit after the time I was thinking, so maybe I just got that combined in my mind with another game in reference to the game prototype I mentioned. But yeah, Continuity does look pretty close in a number of ways.
I knew egg would play this. Met these guys at a local dev expo a few years ago when this was alpha.

The camera would have been the easier part to make. It's just an ease in/out equation and the camera is just translating through way points. This game is an artist's Everest but a cake walk for a coder.

I wonder how much of this game's budget was eaten up by the 3d backgrounds... nice but entirely superfluous as far as I can tell.
Pretty sure these guys have day jobs, thus the lack of budget at all. I met them once.
For me
man there's so much work in some of the background scenes that come and go in a few seconds. Seems like a lot of wasted effort.

I can't hear almost any music, I don't think he leveled the volumes properly, he is too loud compared to the music.
The puzzle at 5 minutes... Couldn't you have hopped down the ladder into one of the other panels and then pressed F and just rearranged the path from the new room so you go up the ladder to the final room without collecting a key?

@@ashark8968 Have you ever played Portal, Antichamber, Talos Principle, Myst? Those are all different puzzle subgenres. Each of those made their own mark on the puzzle genre in a significant way. (And everyone tries to copy them to this day)
So maybe the puzzle genre as whole just isn't for you, but that's ok.
I see you figured out my attempt of being cryptic. It's good though if you write down those linguistics because then they will be more readily available for you when you've got dead air or have something to say and want it done right.
I don't think I'm smarter than I am I just pick up on ques really well and I can find the deeper meaning under what people say. It's kind of a curse tbh it comes in hand with my anxiety. Like I'm worried a youtuber who will still make content no matter what he thinks of me, hates me and it gets to me. I don't want you to like me I just over explain myself and feel bad for making you anxious yourself.

Why does he play puzzle games?
it should be fun to see you fail lol but the game is nice (i always (6 times mybe) got the way in no time and had to skip 10 secs^^)
and then i see you fail that 2nd last puzzle... 2 mins skipped... sometimes i hate myself for being that intelligent, but i am allowed to cause i have no memory (=no chance for me playing 60 secons reatomised) or common sense... i like all those other vids of you through and respect those much isaac runs ;-)
