Being an Air Gear fan myself I can see the inspiration in a lot of the features ! I'm curious to see what the next iterations will bring, this might be the beginning of an awesome new way of skating ! Now the real question : have the regalias been designed yet ?
It's amazing how this popped up in my recommended because for a long time this is actually been the exact style and design I been looking for! I been looking to pick back up inline skating but it's been decades and I had a couple knee surgeries but I been starting treadmill exercises and I do have a pair of skates but they don't fit tight enough so my ankles wobble back and forth a lot. I've tried tighter laces and adding cushions but it's just not quite comfortable and I don't know where to start but I think about it since I got a lot of nice trails near me and nature paths I could enjoy if I make my way out there :)
I'm really digging the 3 wheel design. Maybe because my main skates are tri-skates. I also really like the idea of the hip bag. I feel like it's a good move to prevent wear and tear.

The litteral only suggestion I have is using liquid based shock absorbers that use a tesla turbine for the tuned resistance, that way you use EM braking in the shocks to cushion your ride and capture some power. That said, dunno how possible that is right now
It won't be 100% like air gear but still very cool making what many of us air gear fans always wanted to see. Maybe one day the batteries will be small enough to make a true air gear.
Boosted version with neuronal implant, I would consider! XD Seriously, when they will reach 40 kph, it could be interesting... I already roll at 20-25 when training with my FR3 310 and just bought Rollerblade E2 125 for marathon training, breaking in them slowly but surely. But yeah, I have the Air Gear DVDs and played JetSet Radio a lot, so it's a joy to see this product come to reality! I would be scared to jump off sidewalks, toughness may be an issue...?
4:20 and here i am again 😅 that is my plan, too to be able, to let my car chill at home and i can drive to office, without being completely sweaty ^^ they can not do all the crazy hills here but they are very nice and its more fun, than i thought
Not yet. I'll wait until we've become modular enough to put the batteries in the skates and for us to have that zero gravity technology to pull off amazing angles
Thanks for the video. I saw that some parts of the video took place on the Coulée verte in the 12th. Did you have to ask for some permission to film or is it normally allowed with inline skates ? I've been there before and saw it as a nice spot, however there is usually a lot of people walking/running both ways and it's not that large at some points (also bikes are usually forbidden {I think ?} on the elevated parts of it) so I would be extra anxious of bumping into someone (or something : Borders and lots of tree branches), also when going in the Bastille-to-Vincennes way, you usually need to access it with stairs, so I never tried to do inline skates there.
Not with traditional skates... But it may be different now that yhe middle wheel is powered... Would not be cool if it will eventually not even touch the ground anymore
@@tonn333 this video is not about regular skates, it's about skates with motorized middle wheel - hence my suspicion. It seems to be entirely different friction situation going on with torque applied on a wheel.
yes, but you can easily replace the PU of the wheel, i spoke about it at a certain point in the video but wasn't allowed to show the inside of the wheel on video; but it's really easy & user friendly to change that!

I don't think you need a neural implant just to accelerate, one of those brain wave readings devices in the helmet should be enough.
