I love all your makes!! You're so crafty. I wouldn't call the wrap dress a fail at all. It's adorable. I've always wanted to learn soap making and pottery. Great video. 😊

Thanks! I am thinking I can wear the wrap dress with leggings to salvage it haha! I take my pottery class at a local community center. I highly recommend it!

wow I love your makes. I have been sewing for a few years now, making mainly homewares, bags and children's clothing but only just begining to learn how to make garments for myself and finding learning how to alter patterns to fit my body quite the challenge. I adore your mugs.. you are so talented ( and beautiful too.. you don't look old enough to be married) xxx

My absolute favorite part of making my own clothes is that I can get them to fit my odd proportions. Once you get the fit right you will only want to wear your makes haha!

That or just make it tunic length and wear it with leggings! The plaid is awesome and great job on all your makes!

love the tartan dress, a plain border would look great, if you havent done the ties yet you could do them the same colour as the border. I love all your coffee cups, you have done avery good job on them. I believe it is quite hard turn cups .

I am thinking a red border on the bottom would maybe make it look like a Holiday Party dress :)

Lovely makes !!! I really like your "sewing fail", and those mugs are so cool ! I've been thinking about joining a pottery class, and you have convinced me !
If you didn't minded, could you share your moisturiser recipe ? I make all of my skin care products, and I'm always interested in what people make for themselves .
Anyway, great video, thanks for sharing , and have a lovely day !

I wish I had a more precise recipe for my moisturizer but it is about 2 parts shea butter to 1 part argon oil. I melt them and then after I add them to my container I put it in the freezer/fridge. I learned that if you don't cool it in the fridge/freezer the balm will get grainy because the oil/butter will cool at different rates. Hope this was clear! I love that its a simple recipe - and super easy to make a new batch when I need more. OH! And sometimes I add a tiny bit of a skin safe essential oil (like one drop or two).

There is a way to get around the 6-8 week cure time for soap, you could do one of 2 techniques. You good CPOP or make hot process, obviously hot process is faster but your limited with designs. I love your mugs the blue one is my favorite but I would love any of them. As for your makes I think they were lovely and with the plaid dress I would have probably already checked with the store to see if you get lucky. I hope you do, lastly Happy Belated Birthday.

I've read a bit about CPOP, sounds really awesome. I don't have a thermometer yet so I have been soaping closer to room temperature (had a batch overheat on me once and it was not pretty). I wonder if that would affect how well it gelled. I will do more research! :)

Unfortunately that is something that I am pretty sure happens to every soaper. I soap cool 65-70, you just make it like normal put it in a preheated oven that's been turned off! Otherwise it will be a nightmare. Overheating can happen for so many different reasons it's hard sometimes to figure out what went wrong.

Thanks for the advice! I tried CPOP on a batch and it ended up pretty lovely!

Hi Allison, your sewing makes are really nice :) did you make the pattern for the tartan dress or did you bought it?

Hi! I love the tartan dress and it seems you put a lot of work and time in it, so why don‘t you chop it off and make a top out of it? Maybe even a high low top and wear it with skinny jeans or leggings?

New subscriber here! I love your mugs you have been making so so so much!! I see you have a San Anselmo poster back there, is that where you are from? My husbands grandma lives in Sausalito, so we are in that area pretty frequently! :)

I lived there for a short time as a kid. Its one of my favorite places and when I visited last and saw they added a Yoda statue in town I needed a poster of it! haha!
