Thank for your wonderful video. I have just received my new Lincoln Squarewave 200 machine and I and very happy with it. There is no limit to where you can go with accessories and features but I am very satisfied with what I got with the Lincoln. In my opinion there is only one welding machine and that is a Lincoln. Nothing welds like a Lincoln!!!
For home hobby guys the AHP is hard to beat. Added a new torch and lens kit (from you guys), couldn't be happier. I paid less than you all have quoted here, I've used a Miller 210 MIG for years and love it as well... Wyatt thank you for the help with the accessories....
I use two different Miller machines at work and love them both. One is HF and the other is scratch. Just bought a SW 200 and love it also. There are many good choices so go for what works for you. To get emotional invested in what's better is a big waste of time. I've had better luck in life with quality brands so that's what I try and get. No 12. Furick cup and a stubby gas lens kit will do wonders for thin stainless. Every one of these machines with proper accessories and technique will kick ass. Take care
Hey guys just wanted to let you know I just bought the AHP 2018 version and rocks! No it's not the 5000 dollar Dynasty I use at work, but new version comes with most of the upgrades he speaks of except the foot pedal but just turn it around and operate it with my heel and doesn't want to wander. All that said I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have tried the Everlast machine and after four tries they couldn't deliver a machine that worked so I gave up.
Use the pedal the in reverse of the way you normally would on the AHP . I have the same pedal on my Eastwood , and love it if you stick your heal on the box.
The AHP comes with a 17 style flex head torch just like the other two for 2016. Throw a stubby has lens on it and your good. There are many chassis shops using them for chassis work too.
Thanks for your insight, knowledge and honest opinion on these different welding machines. Really gives me something to think about for my next purchase. . Just subscribed.
Would love to see a eastwood tig 200 digital welder test. I had one and returned it immediately because it would not strike an arc and generally ran like crap. I bought the Lincoln tig 200 and have been using it for over a year. Love it
I see no thin metal in my welding future, so that is not an issue. What is an issue is duty cycle, so it sounds like the AHP I just purchased for $680, including the flex torch and upgraded flow meter, is the machine for this poor boy. BTW, I've heard others say they have had success welding 1/4" thick material, so that is encouraging.
+D Fuller We've heard such things with the Lotos machines. We brought one in to play with a few years ago but didn't have it long enough to do a video with.
I received the ahp unit for Christmas (2015 model) and I'm not sure if they changed what comes in the kit throughout the year but mine came with a flex head on the torch
I've looked around at some multiprocess machines, and it seems like the Eastwood "mp200i" is the best bang for your buck. It's under 650 for practically everything but the tank. Spoolgun for 200ish extra. It does dc stick, tig, mig and if I remember correctly up to 3/8ths. And it might be chinese but they have an american spokesman showing off their stuff on youtube.
i have a weld smart tig 200 ac/dc machine they are the same as the eastwood tig 200 ac/dc machince. they have the grey foot pedal and i like the fact i can adjust the amperage with my foot and i dont need to leave the job i am working on. down side the this control is you just cant back off right down to low amps.
AHP has released new machine for their 2016 model with an upgraded torch and upgrades to the pulse settings and a upgraded regulator. Any chance your going to review it to compare to the previous versions?
How are Eastwood welding machines?, not many people are doing reviews on them. I'd really like to learn how to tig weld and was just curious about their equipment
Is it worth mentioning something about included finger control. Good info. Especially about how features and reliability add to cost.... Thanks Review more inverter ac-dc in under $1000 . 👍
At high output, all the machines are down in duty cycle....in fact, most are between 10 and 20%, so yeah, you obviously are not too familiar with the field. Think about the actual TIG process also: On, Off, repeat; On a couple minutes then OFF a few. What is the typical duty cycle? Again, this whole category is non-production. You can do production though, even still on less than 50% rated duty cyc..
Well, but wouldn't you seriously have (at least) 220V in a preofssional shop? Where the duty cycle goes up. And wouldn't you know up front what kinds of materials you need to weld? If you know up front you need to keep going at high amperages all day long, it's obviously the wrong machine but I do see applications.
It seemed like you skipped a couple features on the AHP. I own one and it also has the 17F torch, the red braided flex lead, and the adjustable start amperage too
Probably not when they reviewed this. AHP listen to reviews, so after much complaints about the torch and pedal i believe they changed both in 2017 or so. Before 2017 you got the bulky torch and crappy pedal.
Although I bought mine in 2019, I still got crappy pedal. Oh well. I'll just make it a new housing myself. Then it'll be exactly what I want, but nothing that I don't
What’s you’d thoughts on the 201XD vs the PrimeWeld 225? I’m looking at one or the other but can’t make my mind up and no one has videos putting them against each other for value. Prime weld is $70 more but comes with a CK torch.
We don't have a whole lot of experience with the Primeweld but we always tell people the AHP is the best thing going for the price. We've got a video coming out tomorrow making into a water cooled setup.
Can you review the Everlast Powertig 255ext? I have the Everlast 200DX and although it is more expensive than the AHP I really think the price difference is more than worth it (for all of the reasons you've mentioned as plusses in your video). I'd like to see the 255ext as I want to upgrade.
I'd like to see that on the Everlast 255ext also. I was really surprised not to see Everlast in the line up. I know AHP is a sister company to everlast but still not the same.
+jjs4x I'm surprised as well that Everlast and Longevity weren't mentioned as a lot of home hobbyists are buying them. Then again, there were some Mr Tig machines from both before they suggested and the CK Worldwide came out that he helped design.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm a total beginner and want to purchase my first unit. I like the versitile one, portable, 110 or 220, aluminum capable. I'm mostly welding trailers upto quarter inch thick steel iron type stuff. I feel the harbor freight stuff is a waste. What about the wire through feeds? Gas capabilities? Price range 250-450$. Is there such a unit? Maybe on Amazon? Thank you.
I am still unclear about advantage of 5 amp tig start . (Like everlast has on at least some models. )What’s the benefit if you don’t plan to microweld? Thanks!
Mister TIG, I have question about lincoln Aspect 375. Is it any good? Cant find any good reviews about it, or any info at all. Thank you! Good videos btw. Good work (Y)
It would be good to explain the kind of amperage and outlet needed. The input amp power of the first machine, AHP, is 36 amps, most heavy washer/drier outlet with the big 3 prongs are 30 amps. The small 3 prong outlet in most houses and apartments is 18 amps 120 volts. Most "weekend warriors" or home users cannot even plug the 100+ amp welding machine into their home. The data categories used are different for each machine. Machine #1 it is input voltage and input amps. For Machine #2, Lincoln Electric, the data is called input power and input current.
120 volt home outlets normally come in two sizes 15 Amps and 20 Amps. The 20A circuits are usually in the kitchen and shop area and garages. The AHP welder can max-out the 120V INPUT power at 37.4 amps 120 volts TIG and 58.2 amps stick. (That is 150A TIG ouy and 145A out stick) In the real AHP world a 15A 120 volt circuit will allow about 60A TIG output or a little more before the breaker trips. a 20A 120 volt circuit will allow about 75A TIG output or a little more before the breaker trips. Actually old breakers will allow 25% overload or more for short times. So this is why we can get away with it.
Would love for you to compare the Everlast 256s but it is a 3-in-1 machine and don't know if that falls into the category you are comparing to, but hope you could consider it in next review. Thnxs
Have you or someone you know had experience with the Hobart EZ-TIG 165i? Good/bad is it touch start or arc start? And can you do a review on one for all of us? Thanks.
Mr TIG how about reviewing the Everlast 160sth as a cost effective DC tig welder? I'm not interested in AC but want a portable unit that has a gas solenoid to control the gas flow without resorting to having a valve on the torch.
+Charlie Marks We don't have a review on the 160 currently, however we did review the 140ST: th-cam.com/video/qbPX_2zzCbA/w-d-xo.html If you don't want AC, you might also look at the razorTIG units. We tested one in our Duty Cycle shootout video: th-cam.com/video/ELhpERIprnw/w-d-xo.html
I am looking to buy my first tig and I am torn between a Square wave Tig 200 or a syncro wave 210. I would like to be able to weld down in to the 18 gauge metal/alum. Do I need to pony up for the synchro? I would hate to spend the money on a machine that won't do what I want it to.
I bought a new version AHP welder and it came with flex head, ball reg for $680 on amazone. I am not a professional but i started off doing aluminum piping and i love this machine for the $$$. i never tig welded before just watched MR tig and started . its prob just what you want to spend and the jobs you are going to do.
hey this is a great review. thank you for sharing the informations sir. i'd like to see more comparison videos like this. i would really really appreciate if you could make another comparison video for Best "All-in-One" welder in near future.
I have an AHP and thinking of my next one being a Everlast 250 Amp ACDC digital unit. This won't happen for quite a while $$$. But I would like to sometime see their unit compared to similar ones, like the CK, Lincoln, Miller, .. etc. If you talk to AHP tell them to answer their emails. Thanks for your great videos.
I bought the Lincoln square wave tig 200 and returned it a few days later. Take note it's called the "tig 200" which it did well (I never tried the ac side) but the stick side is horrible. Terrible arc starts and it would often just stop welding when running a 6010 and no I didn't sick it. Im a tube and pipe welder and I would NEVER dream of touching a piece of pipe with it.
Hi Mr Tig, What is your opinion on Fronius Tig Welding machines, starting with the Magic wave 2600 to 1700 ac/dc, I would really like to know your opinion!!!
+Ayres deSouza I think that mr. tig doesn't know any (or most) of the EU machines. I do know them. Fronius is top class machine and much better than anything in this video, but price is also much much higher than anything in this video. Not the best value machine for home shop, but if you weld for living go for it, it will pay for itself. Not much different than other top machines tho. Best machine I ever used was varstroj daihen.
can you do a video on the square wave tig 200, on stick welding? both 120 and 220? because I'm thinking of buying one. would very appreciate it my friend!\,,/
Weld.com I found and watched those videos after I made that comment. thanks for reply! it really looks to me that the PT210 has the best bang for the buck, especially if equipped with water cooler. I build aluminum boats for a reputable brand and am wanting to setup to do aluminum boat repairs from my home shop.
Sorry but it looks like Lincoln and Miller are living on their names. I love your vids but I’m curious why you say the AHP won’t weld 1/4 in aluminum and the Lincoln will when the duty cycle is just sad on both the Lincoln and the Miller when compared to the AHP. If anything the little AHP seams to be the work horse of the bunch. I don’t know to many welders that spend a lot of time welding aluminum foil for a living.
Nick Jenks The AHP in the video can be found on Amazon for $680, so that's pretty close to your price range. Commenters here and reviewers there seem to speak very highly of it.
hay Mr.tig i have a wtl 200 amp tig welder, with a tig 17F. but im welding pretty long distances. and it tend to get really hot. so i was looking to get a watercooled touch and a cooling pump, would i mind going over a few watercooled torches and some funtional pumps, cuz i really dont wanna overspend, im welding 2-3-4 mm aluminum using 120-170 amps. i see wary little talk and sugestions about watercooled systems, and pumps, what works and what doesentn, have seen people use fishtank pumps even. just a sugestion,
+blaster91 wp20 style torch and 300 € (or $) water cooler. It's hard to build it at home for cheap, because you need low velocity/high pressure pump (like procon pumps) and they're not cheap. Cheap pump will not push enought water throught the tiny pipes an you will destroy the torch. If you're not welding too often you can use tap water. Or try to get some used cooler. which model of welder do you have ? Any problems with it ? I' looking to buy wtl digital 250 or 350 ac/dc for home use ?
+Mageforthe just as one example I have a EWM Tetrix 230AC/DC with the comfort panel, the most advanced 230V machine on the market Please show me what Miller have even close to that spec. Och jag är från Sverige med
You cant find those lincoln squarewave 200 welders for under 1600 dollars, they are almost $1800 after taxes. I know cause i looked everywhere before i bought one
what welder would you recommend between the Lincoln power Mig 210mp or the Tweco Fabricator 211i ? and it would be for home to maybe shop use and want 115v/240v multi process and do you have any reviews on the Tweco fab 211i ? and can both machines weld aluminum ?
we just got one of the new rebel machines in to play around with. it's a multi-process (not primarily tig) but we will do an in depth review once we have more time on it.
+dunno yolo It all depends on what you are looking for. What's your price range? What features are you looking for? What materials will you be welding? Is it for a Hobby or profession? You have to ask yourself all these things when you are looking into buying a welder.
my alphatig 200 has a factory flex head torch. I like it. the foot pedal is junk and it's so bad that when I take my foot off it keeps going until I give it a kick to shut it off. other than that the alpha tig is a great machine for the money.
+joe clune The 2016 200x does now come with a flex head (and I believe a flex cable). As for the foot control, if you are interested in upgrading, check out our upgrade kits on Weld.com: www.weld.com/index.php/shop-weld-com/shop-weldcom/foot-pedals-hand-amp-controls/ssc-foot-pedal-25-for-ahp-7-pin-10k-ohm-2015-model-detail
Hello mr tig i would like you to test the kemppi 2300 ac/dc 230 volt machine its from Finland and on of the Best from Europe . I dont know the avalability in the us but try it out
hi there I am sales manager at a welding supply and I have a machine that has been out for a couple years and I would like some feed back on it. it's a norstar brand and the machine is a tig stick combo. I've used the stick and it's pretty good but havnt used the tig yet. wondering if you could review it so I know what's goin on with it. please and thank you

I would like to see a review on the Everlast MTS 251s. It seems like a awesome machine. And I'm very interested in purchasing it.
Go view ChuckE2009
Thanks for your insight, knowledge and honest opinion on these different welding machines. Really gives me something to think about for my next purchase. . Just subscribed.
Weldpro 200 ac/dc!!!!!! It’s awesome I just bought one and it’s a very clean interface to use without tons of knobs!!!
please make a test on Fronius welding inverter. i've seen in welding forums that its a great welding machine. thanks
The AHP AlphaTig now comes with upgraded flex torch 17 style. Definitely an upgrade
I'd be curious to hear your opinion of the Vulcan ProTig 165. Especially how it's quality compares to something like the AHP.
He's missing the Everlast products. I really want to hear about the Everlast MTS welders.
Would love to see a eastwood tig 200 digital welder test. I had one and returned it immediately because it would not strike an arc and generally ran like crap. I bought the Lincoln tig 200 and have been using it for over a year. Love it
Great job Mr. Tig. Enjoyed the video.
Great comparison Mr. Tig. Looking forward to more.
I just bought the Miller 3 weeks ago and mine came with a flex head torch.
We love Mr.Tig...You are the best mate
I see no thin metal in my welding future, so that is not an issue. You've reviewed the Everlast 210EXT before why not include it? Its bang smack in the middle of the price range of these machines
Thanks for this video. Its a big help on deciding my next purchase. I bought the Lotos and was not impressed with the arc initiation with it.
+D Fuller We've heard such things with the Lotos machines. We brought one in to play with a few years ago but didn't have it long enough to do a video with.
I don't agree when you say pulse doesn't matter? you can do the thinnest of metals with the pulse set right it makes all the difference?
Sir can you do a review on eastwood tig acdc 200 digital welding machine, thanks and more power!
Great comparisons. I have a Thermal Arc 185. I think it's good, but I'd like to see you review it.
I received the ahp unit for Christmas (2015 model) and I'm not sure if they changed what comes in the kit throughout the year but mine came with a flex head on the torch
I wish you would have tested a primeweld tig-225x did a side by side test!

Review more inverter ac-dc in under $1000 .
👍
Thanks for the reviews. On point to help make my buying decision.
I have the AHP at home, and the SW210 at work, and they both weld great, AC or DC.
it's funny he said the mt200 was a "light industrial" machine.... with a 25% duty cycle you would go broke waiting for it to cool down
lmao right? dont know much about the industry but that didnt sound right.
At high output, all the machines are down in duty cycle....in fact, most are between 10 and 20%, so yeah, you obviously are not too familiar with the field. Which one is better, for average work? Precision 225 or Square wave 200.

the pulse feature is practically a necessity for thinwall

120 volt home outlets normally come in two sizes 15 Amps and
20 Amps. The 20A circuits are usually in the kitchen and shop area and garages.
The AHP welder can max-out the 120V INPUT power at 37.4 amps 120 volts TIG and 58.2 amps stick. (That is 150A TIG ouy and 145A out stick)
In the real AHP world a 15A 120 volt circuit will allow about 60A
TIG output or a little more before the breaker trips.
a 20A 120 volt circuit will allow about 75A TIG output or a little more before the breaker trips.
Actually old breakers will allow 25% overload or more for
short times. So this is why we can get away with it.
Great vid!!!! Is there a tig machine that has 250-300 amps with a watercooler, with AC/DC that you might recommend ???? Thanks Irishpatrick
Ya missed the HTP Invertig221!
He's missing any / all of the Everlast welders and there are some fine models.
Jonathan Little thee is an Everlast in the back. Not sure why they didn’t rate that one🤨
so you can mig, tig, and stick on the miller assuming you have the correct attachments?
That is correct
Comes with SpoolMate 150.
Would love for you to compare the Everlast 256s but it is a 3-in-1 machine and don't know if that falls into the category you are comparing to, but hope you could consider it in next review. Thnxs
What are your thoughts on the Eastwood machines?
Can you have a look at the lotos ac-dc tig200 please
Have you or someone you know had experience with the Hobart EZ-TIG 165i? Good/bad is it touch start or arc start? And can you do a review on one for all of us? Thanks.
Mr TIG how about reviewing the Everlast 160sth as a cost effective DC tig welder? I'm not interested in AC but want a portable unit that has a gas solenoid to control the gas flow without resorting to having a valve on the torch.
+Charlie Marks We don't have a review on the 160 currently, however we did review the 140ST: th-cam.com/video/qbPX_2zzCbA/w-d-xo.html
If you don't want AC, you might also look at the razorTIG units. We tested one in our Duty Cycle shootout video: th-cam.com/video/ELhpERIprnw/w-d-xo.html
How long has the company selling razor welders been around? Apparently Everlast has been around over 10 years now.

+chad sims They have upgraded some of the accessories since the release of this video. The flex head is a nice addition.
...And this is a perfect review, thanks!!
I've used that exact same miller and that torch is flexible They're just stiff when they're new
Lollllll
I would like to know more about the klutch st80i tig/stick machine from northern tool
hey this is a great review. thank you for sharing the informations sir. i'd like to see more comparison videos like this. i would really really appreciate if you could make another comparison video for Best "All-in-One" welder in near future.
I bought a Amico 205 3 in 1 have you ever used, heard of someone who has , or reviewed it?
Please review the Miller Dynasty 280 DX and the Everlast PowerTIG 255 EXT.
Thankyou Mr Tig
I have an AHP and thinking of my next one being a Everlast 250 Amp ACDC digital unit. This won't happen for quite a while $$$. But I would like to sometime see their unit compared to similar ones, like the CK, Lincoln, Miller, .. etc. If you talk to AHP tell them to answer their emails.

What's your opinion on a stahlwerk 200 tig with plasma and stick welding
+michael bennett We haven't tested it or heard anything (good or bad) regarding its performance.
+michael bennett Thats actually something i also wanted to know about. I hope he can find something on those machines sometime :)
+Weld.com And thank you very much for all those great welding vids :)
do a video on the welder miller matic 215
Hi Mr Tig, What is your opinion on Fronius Tig Welding machines, starting with the Magic wave 2600 to 1700 ac/dc,
I would really like to know your opinion!!!
Thank you Kevin Rausi!!!
I use them,
Mr. TIG, I was wondering if you can some how review a TIG machine made by RazorWeld.
Thanks
Why is the duty cycle so low compaired to others in it's class, is it a concern before buying.
which one is good tig or mig thank you regard
The MT 200 by CK World wide is this machine a import ? Who sells it and what about parts availability and repair centers
can you do a video on the square wave tig 200, on stick welding? both 120 and 220? because I'm thinking of buying one. would very appreciate it my friend!\,,/
*230V
hard to trust any review where the host has monetary gain in one of the products.
grate video. thank u
Mr Tig, where would you rate the Everlasting Powertig 200 or 210 in amongst the list?
The PowerTIG 200 and 210 are also very good machines. We've done some more recent videos specifically on those machines.
What machine would you recommend for a TIG welded for 400-600 bucks?
lol funny. look for a mig
Nick Jenks The AHP in the video can be found on Amazon for $680, so that's pretty close to your price range. Commenters here and reviewers there seem to speak very highly of it.
What about the Everlast line up?
I tig welded razor blades together and pop cans using lincoln square wave 200 , !!
hay Mr.tig
i have a wtl 200 amp tig welder, with a tig 17F. but im welding pretty long distances. and it tend to get really hot.
so i was looking to get a watercooled touch and a cooling pump, would i mind going over a few watercooled torches and some funtional pumps, cuz i really dont wanna overspend, im welding 2-3-4 mm aluminum using 120-170 amps. i see wary little talk and sugestions about watercooled systems, and pumps, what works and what doesentn, have seen people use fishtank pumps even.
just a sugestion,
+softiss We haven't really done any water pump comparisons, but we will certainly add it to the list.
Beautiful brother.
Can you review a kempi welder please? Thanks
kempi welders i think are european machines..good machines as i heard of..but i dont think they are so famous to States..
+Panos Sarikas all European machines at far superior any us brand
Fronius EWM ESAB and kemppi is the best there is
+Steve Sherman my what?
+Steve Sherman Kemppi Is good, but honestly.... Miller all the way
+Mageforthe just as one example I have a EWM Tetrix 230AC/DC with the comfort panel, the most advanced 230V machine on the market
Please show me what Miller have even close to that spec.
Och jag är från Sverige med
great video, but I just can't help it, I have to tease you about the way you say "assesseries"
We haven't had the chance to test the Tweco, however the ESAB Rebel is another good choice if you're looking for a multi process.
Tweco is made by esab correct
+dunno yolo Correct.
What is your opinion on ESAB machines?
we just got one of the new rebel machines in to play around with. it's a multi-process (not primarily tig) but we will do an in depth review once we have more time on it.

I've had my machine about a year and love it. Miniarc 161 lts. Lift arc tig/stick machine.
what would you say are the top 5 120v machines ?
I dont know the avalability in the us but try it out
we've had some trouble acquiring European machines in the past, but we can try again.
does the lincoln have HF starts???
More micro welding videos please!
Thanks!

Thank You...
How about the Eastwood tig200 priced at $699
any know about eastwood 200 ac/dc please any opinions!!!!!!!
I believe it's the same price as the AHP with less functionality. Haven't used one personally though.
