Just that tiny respect of ''can I use this in my kitchen?'' just shows how much craftsmanship goes into being a real Chef.
fun fact: did you know that more people die from pigs than from sharks?! i will post regular vids like this so make sure to subscribe!! btw i'm a kid!!
@@Flashisgreatfr You're a kid? Ok, teaching time, so learn.
Now, first I do understand you want to make your channel known to the public to get some views and subs, but kid, this is not the way to do it.
You're using the reply comment function to spam (since you've posted it multiple times in this comment section).

I wish you luck with it and with creating content which isn't easy al the time.

@@ray0tj ok thanks for the feedback!
@@Flashisgreatfr he's right but I like your go getter attitude. :)
Fun fact: he never cooked it in his kitchen.
gordon questioning if he should flip with the fingers made me feel superior for about 5 seconds
As far as I know Chile Piquín is from Tabasco, México.
Anyway, is amazing the respect for the ancient cultures to still using the metate to make the masa.
Yup it is. Living Houston Texas i don't see it sold here. I grow some in my backyard for when I need them. It really doesn't represent Texas in my opinion.
I believe the main things that represents Texas is a boot and a hat xp
I didn't expect Gordon will be in National geographic
*to be on national geographic 😊🌟 just wanted to let you know
Thanks for watching! This is the 3rd season of Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, so there’s a lot to catch up on 😄

Where’s the LAMB SAAAUCE!!!!!!
Interesting. I always felt the pequin pepper to me more Mexican than Texan. I've seen it used in Mexican food way more and sold more commonly there as well. Heck, I think I've heard somewhere people say that it's the pepper of the city of Monterrey in Mexico in another food video. I personally haven't seen it sold in Houston and that's why I have some growing in my backyard for when I need it!
And where was Texas part of originally before it was named Texas?? 🤔
Mexico lol it's still Mexico just with a different name smfh 🤦🏽
I mean, Texas used to be Mexico, and my family has been in Texas for generations, even before the Europeans came, so it’s no surprise. I live close to the border, and we have always used pequin pepper.
It is because Texas was Mexican.
We know the pepper as Chile de monte , shoutout from Austin Tx
Its more mexican, but some mexicans dont know
Love it!! Great team up with Nat. Geo :-)) Looking forward to more!
"Masa is not where the mexican astronauts train." -George Lopez
funny im masa
Saying “it’s the national pepper of Texas” is the most Texas thing ever
Which makes no sense because the pepper comes from Tabasco, Mexico not Texas.
There's not a soul alive that loves Texas more than a Texan 😏
@@ericktellez7632 Piquin grows all northern mexico, is used a lot in Monterrey Chihuahua, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Coahula, is essencial for cecina meat.
Exactly when he said from texasss ☠️☠️☠️🤣🤣🤣🤣 okkkk….
@@bebadoll68 You missed the point. Stop all those emojis they make you look even dumber for not getting what he meant.
The difference between hand-made fresh tortillas vs grocery stores is night and day.
I've had friends ask what brand of tortilla is this.??🤣😂
HEB fresh made tortillas are the exception to grocery store tortillas
Idk heb has some bomb tortillas
Both this mexican chef and gordon ramsat were at the same brainwave levels on making this tortillia.
You haven't lived if you haven't tried traditionally made tortillas, they're miles away from regular ones. Buy a little tortilla press and some masa from your local Latino market (if they're worth their salt, they should have for sale), and see for yourself how much superior a taco is with them
Me, from Scotland: Oh yes my local Latino market is just packed with with my necessary tortilla pressing needs

Why haven’t you posted any?
Awesome clip! For me, there's nothing like fresh blue corn masa but a close second are green tortillas cuz it's mixed w nopales, a type of flavorful and nutritious cactus. Flour tortillas are traditionally used for burritos but they're an amazing dessert if you add a little butter and sugar, perhaps some jelly, it becomes a quick and easy pastry treat like toast.
Awesome!
The respect Gordon shows to other cultures is what I like about him.
Amazing.
I am a Texan and the blue corn makes the most amazing tortilla chips.
There really is nothing else that can replicate that flavor.
Up in AZ, we used to go to the Hopi reservation to buy piki bread.
It was basically super thin sheets of blue corn rolled into a "loaf" as they cooked. Lightweight, delicious, and it was practically eternally shelf stable.
Down in the Navajo Nation, we have blue corn mush. That stuff is like crack for me and I always ate my bodyweight in the stuff when we'd visit the rez.
Remember when Jean Philippe told Gordon Ramsay that "there's a language barrier, because he's from Texas"😂
I think it was the current maitre d, after Jean Philippe, but yes 😆😆😆
What an amazing experience and opportunity for Chef Ramsay to travel around the world and learn how to prepare ingredients for the most important individuals of that location!
Enjoy your travels Chef Ramsay!

Missed an essential step called nixtamalization. Our bodies can't digest the corn without this crucial step

Anyone know what time the show is on? Or has the show already finished?

Well this is a nice about Gordon Ramsay
Thats my brother 👏🏻
This just made me remember my grandmother who used to make blue tortillas, sadly she has passed away.
Gordon Ramsayyyy....He is just awesome Chef...I got to know him From Masterchef Australia...😁😁

Hand made corn tortillas are great!
Tortillas delicious for 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌮 excellent job
Imagine if the convo instead went -
Gordon: "Can I use this in my Kitchen?"
Justin: "No!"
😂
Im from México, tortillas Is te Best in the world, you cant eat, if you havent tortillas, sorry for my english.
Nice video.
Anyone else wonder why they always include a clip of Gordon ramsey doing the slow trot?
They didn't talk much about the meat part. That's important, too.
I wish they would elaborate further on certain things. Like how Nixtamalization works and it's history or how to properly puff a tortilla
Great video. Jun. 11 Euro 2021👍
Gordon Ramsay is out here blessing the world with his gloriousness ... 🥰
Ese es mi primo! Te queremos ♥
Nice to see Gordern learng even if he is a world class chief
Learning something about a part of the world geographically far from me but relatively close (a nephew lives in Texas).
Maiz starch tortillas are closer to original tortillas, weat tortillas are also delicious 👌 But the maiz ones are really something else.
Wow
Gordon needs to go to Colombia. Our gastronomy is very rich and flavorfull.

Imagine Gordon Ramsay yelling at someone around the world and calling them a donkey or a donut on Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted.
I'm shocked, Gordon didn't say the F word.
That pepper is very abundant in the north of Mexico in the state of Nuevo Leon. In that state of Mexico they call it Chile Piquin. It is hotter than a serrano pepper. Great to see them due tortillas the old fashioned way!
Blue Corn Tortillas are bomb, superb taste.
0:18 thats a loud fist bump
They grow wild 🤣 as opposed to tamed.
Where in South Texas did Gordan visit?
I'm in South Texas.
Chavez! Orale! Represent the Lone Star State to Ramsey! We have one 🌟 estrella and he has 🌟🌟🌟estrellas.
Molcajete and metate 100% 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
2:23 Those chiles are original from southern Mexico , and they are not eaten like that because it feels like a turtle is biting your tongue 🤭
Piquin chile is not texan, it grows all over the northern part of mexico, is basico for the cecina and many salsas.
*i watch gordon ramsay's program to see his angry judging*
Gordon Ramsey: Good to see you.
Me: You too.
We Native Americans believe you cant be yelling and being ugly while handling food. That ugly will end up in the food.
That's brutally funny

Ahh Texas, the best State in the world!
National pepper of Texas?
Uh, who's gonna tell him Texas isn't a country?
Uh, who’s gonna tell him that Pequin Peppers come from Tabasco, Mexico not Texas as well
Hi Gordon I am such a huge fan I love your family your all so happy and I just wanted to ask can you maybe react to zach Choi the cooking bit of his videos I think that would be a blast
Ayy 4:20
Pequins are so hot but so fruity! I just freeze them in a bag and use when I need. They keep forever. It took me a while to get used to the heat, but their flavor is wonderful.
👍👍👍😁😁😁
Was the corn nixtamalized?
who did my boys haircut
Aww I wish y'all would have shown of the tortillas puffed or not. Its not that easy to do.

Las tortillas de harina de maíz no tienden a inflarse, las de harina de trigo sí.
