Very insightful! This case is a true lesson in compassion and second chances. Thankful that they are using their resources to set precedent and give opportunities to so many others that don't have the resources or platform that they have had.

I don't think perjury regarding the abuse can be compared to 'so much research on sexual abuse and mental health'.
One is lying, the other is something anyone can have an opinion on. There's no real connection, it's 'OVERWHELMING SWITCH' in public opinion.
Since no one could ever prove their testimonies, I guess public sympathy will be the deciding factor.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You’re right that the line between proven facts and shifting public opinion can be a difficult one, especially in a case like this. The allegations of abuse in the Menendez case have always been controversial, largely because they rely heavily on the brothers' testimonies, which can be hard to verify after so many years.
What’s changed over time, though, is how we understand the impact of long-term abuse on mental health and behavior-something that wasn’t as widely accepted or understood during the original trial. Whether that’s enough to sway the court remains to be seen, but it does highlight how evolving research can influence how we view past cases. Appreciate you joining the conversation and adding your perspective

She is right the judge has taken time. Heard from the both sides of story. DA has no power making decisions. DA office lots working for him. They’re against him.

You’re absolutely right that, ultimately, it’s the judge who has the final say after hearing from both sides. The DA can recommend actions, but it’s up to the court to make the official decision. And yes, there can be a lot of internal dynamics at play within the DA’s office, especially in high-profile cases like this one. It’s a complex process, and we’re just watching to see how it unfolds. Appreciate you adding your thoughts to the discussion.
