Heck of a boat , I have a 1442 monark. That boat there ,is my dream boat. Thanks for the upload.
1442 is an awesome size boat! Glad you enjoyed the video
13 foot 15 foot Boston whel great boat
Take a bit of free advice for using a boat for hunting down here. Camo up a game camera and ALWAYS have it aimed at the boat. Not just for the thieves but also for the game wardens. TRUST ME ON THAT! The GWs will go over every inch of your boat and will open ANYTHING that isn't locked shut! Every single compartment on my boat is now padlocked shut. Not that I have anything to hide or that I'm breaking any laws....
Good to know and great tip. I won't have anything of value left on the boat or anything I'm worried about. But would hate for them to take my boat..lol
Oddly... after watching enough of your videos.
I ended up in S. Georgia... from Ohio.
This will be my first Hog season.
Thanks for the videos.
Awesome! Congrats! You are gonna love it
You’ll love that boat. I have a 1756 G3 with a Yamaha f70 that I use all over the mobile tensaw delta. It’s a 2015 and has been BEATEN UP. It’s had deer, hogs, ducks, squirrels etc in it. And I’ve caught everything from bass to sharks in it. Run great and doesn’t leak a drop.
Love hearing this! I'm excited. Glad you love yours
I need a tour guide for the delta
You should carry a regular spare and a full hub assembly because many times by the time you realize there is an issue, tires will be shredded or bearings will be toast. Easier to change a whole hub than trying to mess with bearing, races, grease on the side of the road in 33 degree rain. Just speaking from experience.
Yeo that sounds like a bad day
@@SamkoTradBow Yea, the tire shredding day(s) weren't fun. The smoking, wobbling hub day was on a buddy's boat coming back from a duck hunt in N. Ala-ba-lama. I just happened to be behind him, so I got to watch it essentially self-destruct.
@Laughinghawg yep that doesn't sound like fun
Great set up Jason.looks like you got. All your bucks in row.Always enjoy watching (learning)
Thank you. I'm excited to get it finished and on the water next time I'm down there
I’m thinking of buying this same boat next week. I like how you are setting it up
You will love it.
Can’t wait to see more boat videos
Just inherited a 16’ v bottom boat I plan to do some catfishing and deer hunting with
I cant wait to use it more and make more. That gonna happen really soon.
Nice sturdy simple rig. Can't wait to see you bringing out hogs, deer out of those backwaters.
Thanks! I'm excited
Nice choice, I use a gheenoe classic with a 9.9 for the same job, I can jump logs with ease and squeeze through the skinniest of water
Very nice!
Those yamaha f-25 motors are so nice. Mine was an 08 or 09 model and carburated. Would start up and idle every time even if it was super cold outsid wich is rare for a carbed motor. Ran it for 2 or 3 years then upgraded boats but man i miss the reliability of that yamaha.
They do make great motors. Had a yamaha 20 4 stroke for about y years before thos that I had on 3 different boats
Thanks for sharing your build. I have a 1652. What touch up paint do you use for the desert brown? Thanks.
I'm not using any touch up paint. But I believe you can buy the part right from g3 in a spray can
Jason, buy you 15’ of fuel line and run your gas tank in the bow if you can! In shallow water rigs you want/need weight forward especially when by yourself! It’s like 4wd
Yeah was hoping my batter would fit under the deck but it won't. With this little motor I'm only gonna run 3 gallons or so of gas as it sips fuel. And hoping the cooler up front will help. If I need to I will move stuff around. It's the opposite of all my bowfish boat builds that had all the weight up front and I struggled to get weight in the back..lol
Cooler full of drinks and ice should do the trick.
Sweet little boat! 👍
Thank you
Awesome set up I'm currently running a 12ft aluminum vhull super lightweight and deadly
Those 12 footers are a wicked little set up! And they are so easy to through in a truck bed when need to
@@SamkoTradBow I also use 4stroke 3hp an electric trolling moter for super sneaky .I hunt all public in Massachusetts an just started dipping my toes in newhamshire also sorry for bending your ear just realy like all your content an videos. huge fan
@@danielwiggins3747 awesome. I'm gonna look into a troller to as some lakes and ponds won't let you use an outboard
I would have used the older mat stuff but used the 3M Velcro like thing that is stiff for both connections that has the 18--20 pound resistance and then added it to the boat using the double side tape and the other side to the mat direct no extra tape. This way I get mats I can take off when done put into truck / where you want, and boat is on trailer heading for home. The type of stiff the 3M is does not cause much wear on pants as it is not like standard Velcro. No Glue to mess with and I can just buy more of the Velcro like 3M to fit on to other boats in future.
Thought about it or similar. But decided it wasn't worth the hassle and the mat uner the stands when I need it will work perfect. And no muss no fuss. Just quick and easy
@@SamkoTradBow Yep, I just would have taken the cheaper route is all.
Im not sure what I like more J! The boat or the trailer. If you need a great simple way to tarp that up a Japenese Shad tournament fishermen showed me his way. Just reach out.
I'm hopefully gonna use it so much it won't be worth tarping up🤣🤣
I can't find a boat like that ANYWHERE in Florida
I know it's slim pickings on aluminum boats still. I had to call all over ga and sc to find this one
Master nothing like this bit chief kn I w great small boat like this cabin user kirida
I got a 14’ Sea Nymph Aluminum water ready w a 2013 6HP suzuki with 30 hours for $3500. In jacksonville Florida.
That 25hp will MOVE that boat !!!
Don't know yet! Haven't had it on the water. But exciting to
I have a 25hp on my 14' 6" starcraft and it averages 20 mph at full throttle ...depending on gear in the boat. Yours should get up and go nicely!
Are you thinking of putting an electric trolling motor to slip in quiet to your hunting destination?
@@joeldurette3209 not worried about boat noise going into spots but will eventually get a small troller for some of the restricted ponds and such
Jason, awesome rig!! I was wondering if you could do a video for your other channel on how you wired up that switch panel. I don’t have any experience in wiring and would love to see how you did it so I don’t burn anything down. Great video👍
Will do. I have a video I made on how to make the switch panel. But basically positive and a negative and a load wire. But will make one when I get back down there
Now you are hunting southern style by boat. Hunt smarter not harder!
Hopefully let's me get to some cool places
@UCli1s2sNcM2pkwgSImf1tag I don't know what this means
Jason, I have a new 2024 1860 vbw on order. Same floor plan as yours. Difference is rear and front decks are enclosed with no access to underneath either rear bench or front deck. Im concerned about having access to both compartments to install trolling motor and pedestal seats. I can not get any options out of G3 regarding access to install nuts on under side for mounting accessories. Do you have any thoughts on what I may find under these compartmrents. I love your set up.
Great questions. I would ask the dealer how they install the peds and troller wires. I bet its all foam under the decks and seats to keep it a float if it takes on water. My bench and under my deck is foam.
Amazing boat, same exact setup I’m looking to buy. Did you consider putting the floatation pods on back of transom?
I have friends with float pods on thier bow fishing rigs and they have mixed opions. I personally won't do them
100th like!
Funny opening, what channel are we on? Hahaha. Nice boat!
🤣🤣 yeah it gets confusing trying to figure out what channel I'm on..lol
@@SamkoTradBow it made me laugh
Is it light enough (maybe with smaller motor) to mount transom wheels to launch by hand without backing the trailer in?
no not this model. this one would be too heavy. probably need to look at a 1442 or smaller size and something in a .080 aluminum thickness rather than a .100
Buy amphibus boat car amohibyus water and kand
What was the price on your set up?
B and b is near me. I’m about an hour from conyers
cant remeber off top of my head but think it was about 10k out the door. you would have to call and ask them how much it would be this year.
Great boat. I hunt from my boat all the time. Do y'all have those jumping carp down there as we do here in Arkansas? If so, that may be a concern with that bow hanging there. And you will want to keep a gaff in there to get those slimy fish out. Nothing like be slapped upside the head in the dark with a 25 pound fish and then have it fall on your bow. Been there.
That's one of the reasons my group has mostly moved to kayaks for most of our river hunts.
Not sure if we have those carp here or not. But great points!
All good, really cool setup Jason, although I don't think those padlocks are going to slow anyone down if they want your engine. That needs an upgrade for sure. Mike.
Especially in the South... There are some sister Fers who are born to steal.
No other way to fix it. Pad lock is best I came up with
@@SamkoTradBow My fishing partner bought a metal bar from Amazon that protects the shackle from being cut. Just info, in case.
Master don't know enough about oad kicks can't decide chef boat dint need this icw ocean rinds dint need wrre first usesge
I’m jealous! Great set up, what is the weight capacity
800 pounds carrying capacity. Love this boat. Does everything I need.
@@SamkoTradBow alright thanks for response
I have the same boat with the floor and the sides and there's no way that the floor and the sides adds anywhere close to 150 pounds to the boat.
Just going by the weights of thos boat and the same size with the floor and side according to the specs.
I understand but just so you know, the weight of the floor and the sides it's not even close to 150 pounds. It's so minuscule that you would not even notice it.@@SamkoTradBow
How fast is the boat with that motor?
No idea. I'm on rivers so not worth trying to speed test it. I don't have a calm flat lake around me to test on
Do not I repeat ! Do not ever run your tiller outboards under any circumstances in the lock position! You will either rip the motor off the transom , rip the transom off the boat or damage your lower unit to shit! Trust me ! This is a fact!
Yep never would. Can't count how many times I've hit things and loved having the kick up feature. That's why I went with this motor vs a 30 or 40. The kick up and light weight
What speeds are you getting out of it?
Will never know as I'm always on the rivers with it. So not a fair comparison with the currents. And honestly never checked. It gets on plane in about 10 yards and will hold plane at a very slow speed. I bet it maxes out at low 30s but just guessing. I seldom run faster than half throttle as the rivers here can be mine fields
Where did you purchase the boat??
Conyers ga. B and b marine
@@SamkoTradBow Just wen there on Friday. Met with James and looked over a 16FL to duck hunt out of in flooded timber. Do you have a link for the taunt line hitch lines, those look helpful.
@@Laughinghawg I make them out of paracord. The eyelets should be in the links below. Congratulations on your new boat!
@@SamkoTradBow Thanks. I saw the eyelets link. What are the little 'do-dads' that keep the paracord tight at infinite adjustments? I have boatloads of paracord. I'll have to go back and look at them again as well.
Need to get a spare tire mounted on trailer
Mentioned my thoughts on it in the video. I carry a tire plug kit and compressor in my truck. So unless it's a sidewall rip I will be in good shape. But might still put a spare on the tongue of the trailer if I find a good deal on a spare
@@SamkoTradBow I was on a back woods river hunt in north Florida, after a very long day the primitive boat landing knocked a leaf spring loose on my trailer that ended up tearing into the side wall of my tire so it does happen, luckily I had a spare. I also now carry a spare jack so I don’t have to dig out the truck jack.
@@REPR100 a great idea to have a spare and also a 4 way so you have the right lug wrench. Eventually I will have a spare. But in the meantime the plug kit makes me feel good atleast
@@SamkoTradBow yes you are right, I also carry the 4 way wrench, can of fix a flat, compressor, plug kit, small board for under jack, and folding shovel amongst other things, lol, at one time or another I’ve used all of them. Not sure if you mentioned it but you’ll want to keep a spare sheer pin and basic tool to change it in your boat, learned that the hard way as well
@@REPR100 sheer pin is something I totally forgot about! Ordering one right now. Thank you
Are you going to Missouri this year`?
Why did you move from MI. From SW Mi
no not hunting missouri this year. Trying a new state. Michigan was great but I like hog hunting so much had to move to a place with great hog hunting.
Have you shown your Bowfishing setup on this channel? If you have Please Pin a post of yours with that link. If not, that would be something I kind of want to see.
I actually have a play list called bowfishing thay shows a few odd my boat builds in full detail
@@SamkoTradBow Not just that but the specific set up for the Bow itself with Reel and line used. I thought You Showed that as I watched a video that had the Great Northern Bowhunting Company part made for the Reel/Weights on target bows slot that is missing on most modern one piece bows.
