    I picked this up yesterday on intro price...while I don’t have any need for this genre yet, I think a lot of the instruments can be used for any type of music. Plus, this is just so fun, it’s hard to resist!

    now as far as sample/loop packs are concerned, the only one that has come the closest to this sound/style is the desperados sound pack by prime loops. if i get this and combine that with desperados, i can imagine getting some insane results.

    This is Superb for a very particular sound and a huge congratulations to Sample library review for a smooth review great for swamp music but iam looking forward to the next generation of vST creations that don’t swamp every single instrument in Reverb to improve the sound samples when dry often sound poor without the gloss over of reverb and fx but this is just common in all vST instruments and apart from this I think Fluffy Audio have made a great job apart from phrases keyboard players play there own lines although phrases are handy for non keyboard players. the country singer is funny I don’t think Shony would go down very well at the local western bar so my thoughts are where is the fiddle player and a good unique library

    i've been wanted a vst that can help create the spaghetti western twang guitars and cinematic horns, especially since its a much more time consuming and difficult to do it all from scratch in quality vsts, and more expensive to create in a live recording session with session musicians. this vst is pretty close. thanks for reviewing this, otherwise i would have never known about this!

      He's called Sean but Juan mistakenly thinks he's called John.
      He's from Ireland but the singer is French so it sounds like Shon.
      Ennio Morricone - Sean sean

    as you say, the brass in this library is great. Playing single notes in a brass library sounds terrible in most libraries, but this one sounds really good. And a western soundtrack often contains a lot of these stretched single notes.

      The Kontakt factory library has the Ragtime Piano, tough it does need a bit of treatment to reach this quality.

    Thanks for the review. But it would be helpful if you understood a bit more about the instruments you are reviewing. For instance: a fast legato is different from a slow legato because you can play it fast. You play it extra slow. And a slide guitar is handled through midi (just like legato) by not letting go of the first note before you press the second note. You only did that twice, I guess by accident. Or maybe you found out that the slide only works with major thirds or less - but in that case, why don't you say it, it would have been helpful for us.
    Your control of the expression wheel is so random that I'm not even sure if it has an effect on the library, which is a pity as this is important information. For instance you say you find the whistler a bit harsh - well, your expression is 100% so that could explain a lot. You say you turn it down a little bit, but the expression wheel is not touched - what did you do, change the volume?
    I think there's quite a lot of nice things in this library, and I am considering buying it, but just saying 'great epic fenomenal' all the time is not a review. It's a commercial. Also it would have been helpful if you would have watched the actual commercial on this product before you did your own, so you would have known that the 49'er is Italo, a street artist that mimics spaghetti western music. You are clearly not liking that bit, but then still you try to be positive about it - why?
    Is Sample Library Review payed to post positive reviews?
    If so, you should tell us in advance. If not, I hope your next review will be more balanced. Because, despite this being a great library, nothing is just great, epic and fenomenal and nothing more than that.

    • @Grymt
      @Grymt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrArpegiator Sorry, "phenomenal". English is not my native language. But you're wrong about the CC functions through midi controllers, as the modwheel in Kontakt moves along with it (and it does so in the video as well).
      Don't you want balanced reviews in stead of payed ones?

    • @Donetur
      @Donetur ปีที่แล้ว

      What if somebody thinks this is phenomenal and have a discrepancy with you?, isn’t this possible?. You can always do your own reviews if you don’t like the ones you see, or if nobody can point out the details you think that should be pointed out.

      It's a very charismatic genre a lot of people like and thats fun to play with, just *because* it sounds so cheesy and clichéd . Just imagine a Tarantino movie without a track from that genre.

    • @yugang08
      @yugang08 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the instruments and the style itself can be appealing to people who makes music in other genres. for example, people who do trip hop type music. many artists linked to that genre such as portishead have heavily drawn inspiration or sampled morricone and other european composers whos done cinematic driven music, especially spagetti western soundtracks. the guitars, the horns, the basslines, you can make some ill crazy dusty beats, or make instrumental music in the vein of like david axelrod or someone more modern such as adrian younge. the sounds in this vst itself can be very useful if you want these sounds without having to sample from any soundtracks. you can play the instruments/sounds and make it sound as if its sampled from some movie made back in the 60s/70s. i get that many modern artists aren't inspired by the likes of portishead, adrian younge or moderator, and only a good handful are apart of those particular niches in music, but even in trap, the guitars and many sounds in this vst, sounds like things cubeatz would use that trap producers like murda beatz would be drawn to. so in conclusion: the vst is useful outside of attempting to make pure spagetti western music. it can be used for any modern style that incorporates cinematic sounds.

      If you make a video about the desert featuring eagles or lizards snakes etc. Spaghetti Western music would suit it.
