    I appreciate your understanding I didn’t film anything outdoors this week - I’m feeling pretty tired and heavy as my body drastically changes haha! And those pesky hormones cause me to feel a bit out of sorts - but I’m hanging in there and using the down time to chip away at little home projects… though my energy is gone pretty quickly lol, I’m approaching it with grace and enjoying it in my own way, though it has challenging moments. Sending much love and light 🥰

    Thank you to all who have sent baby items, we are well prepared and feel so very blessed! We are not able to accept more at this time as we have an abundance; please know that I am so incredibly grateful to every single person who has sent something or simply had the desire to and reached out with the intention, it warms my heart and while I am not able to receive more (due to my post office being a bit overwhelmed and only having limited space in our house) I am so incredibly grateful, thank you so so much! My heart is full ❤ sadly I am not able to take enough days off during the week to write thank you letters to each person, I am always trying to catch up and please know if you have not received a thank you card it may not be possible at this time, but please know I am sending so much gratitude your way and trying my best to keep up with things. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤

      When the baby comes you won't be able to just nap when you're tired so I find it lovely to get those last few months of self indulgence when no one expects anything of you and you can just focus on being the healthiest environment you can create for your growing baby. If you went off-line for 6 months Paola, we'd all be here waiting for your return and sending you love. Don't ever feel obligated to us. We want what's best for you. Be in your own transforming being, dear Paola, this first pregnancy and it’s newness and joy will never repeat itself, in the same way, as each experience is a one of a kind in this life. You are in this extraordinary time when it can, and YES, should be, all be about you and Luke and your soon arriving little angel, without any apologies needed. Those who love you, including those in your subscriber category to this channel, are I’m sure, supporting your new journey and wanting you to take all the time you need to nurture yourself and Luke. We’re all cheering you on, with no payback expected. Skip, dance, and swirl as we sometimes do in your cottage during these sweetest days and just dwell in peace and joy and shed any worries, we will all be here in lovingkindness when you feel like creating more videos. This time is YOURS. Sending love and hugs, dear Cottage Fairy. ⭐️💜🌻🌸🎼🌼🩷🪷

    I marvel at how the idea of minimalism has taken hold and become a "should". I don't like useless clutter, but I will never live in a minimalist space - I find it soulless. I think as long as you clear out that which no longer has a place in your heart and keep what does, you are living well. ☺

    • @SkySpiral8
      @SkySpiral8 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

      Minimalism isn’t about having bare walls and everything white (although that’s the way it’s sometimes marketed). Most minimalists see it simply as a philosophy of only owning and participating in things that add meaning to their life. This looks different for every person.

    • @lorrilewis2178

    My husband and I are in the same financial boat so we can live on his income alone while I raise our babies (hard to do when our economy is adjusted for two income households being the norm). We dont travel except to visit family. We dont eat out. We cut the coffee stand. I sew clothes for our daughters. We invest in plain, durable clothing that can last. We only have one vehicle. It can be done and it is actually kind of peaceful to disengage from the fantasy lifestyle of extreme consumerism, constant travel, fancy dining, etc. You guys are doing great and remember you truly need very little for a baby for a while. Some diapers, swaddles, pajamas, and maybe a few other things depending on how you choose to feed your baby ❤

    Please don't feel you need to apologise for not videoing outside or for any other changes to your way of doing things - the most important thing is that you get the rest you need and the time as a family to prepare for your little one's arrival. And then, Paola, you started to talk about your first yard sale. Suddenly I was lost in such happy memories of my first and only yard sale . We tried to have one about 8 months after our sweet baby boy was born. I really wasn’t sure about pricing, organization, but I figured this just could not be so hard, right? Well, it turned out to be a part of our family lore that can fit in the hysterical category or the disaster category. My mom and husband had to remove me from direct contact with our buyers, mostly because I was listening to so many sad stories and I was just giving things away because it seemed right.

      @@clarkkathleenhusband6045 I can relate. It’s because we give so much of ourselves (and more) to create a loving home for our families. We do our best with the tools & knowledge we have at the time and sometimes we can base our entire, lives around our house, home and family. It becomes our reason for being & for getting up in the morning.. then one day, they are out the door creating the life we brought them up to create for themselves and we are left thinking.. well, now what do I do. Well, NOW it’s your turn. It’s your turn to shine and to create and enjoy a life doing what YOU want to do. Is there anything you’ve always, wanted to do or somewhere you’ve always wanted to go but never had the time. Make a list. Can’t think of anything? Just in case, here are a few ideas. Keeping in mind I don’t know what’s available where you live. Perhaps, you would enjoy meeting new ppl so maybe you could join a group or a club or start one of your own, travel & become a digital nomad posting your travel experiences/videos on line, what skills do you have - maybe you could create & run an online workshop or course or a vlog, play a sport eg. bowls, learn to ride a horse, read, learn an instrument, grow your own vegetables, herb garden, flower garden, food forest, container gardening, save heirloom seeds, become self sufficient, forage, explore, have regular outings with friends or meet up at each others homes, spring clean, declutter & sell or donate stuff, work from home and get paid for it, keep a diary, renovate, paint your house, rearrange inside, get all your affairs in order, journal, write a book and self publish it, write an autobiography, make a bucket list, research your genealogy, paint, draw, do craft, make a scrapbook/album for each of your kids of their lives, renovate, learn a new skill, do an online course/workshop, create new multiple streams of income eg. make and sell stuff online, do some charity work, organise an if the SHTF list, stock up, volunteer, grow herbs, make herbal stuff to sell eg. soap, write a blog, make you tube videos, do photography eg. birdlife, wildlife, scenery animals etc, get in touch with old friends, get a pen pal. The list goes on & on. The main thing is that you enjoy your life & live it to the full, shine your light and enjoy every single moment 🙏🏼

    I loved being pregnant ….such a wonderful journey/adventure! I went everywhere and stayed very busy….if I couldn’t sleep I was cleaning and prepping the baby’s room. Late in the pregnancy my back did get tired and I used a pregnancy girdle which helped. Much to my surprise I wound up having a c-section and they found I had a double reproductive system, with a 7 lb baby boy in each uterus! My joy was unimaginable! They have been such a blessing in my life! Motherhood has ups and downs, challenges, yes, but oh the rewards! When you see your baby your heart will be so full and you will just know instinctively how to care for them. 💖💖💖

    After many years of doing garage sales I found that it was so much simpler to not individually price things. I put things on a table or in boxes with a dollar amount on a sign. So I'll have a $1 table, $5 table, etc. I usually have a "Free" box also. I also collect small boxes from our Food Co-op that people can use a shopping baskets. Good luck with your sale.

    Having children is the greatest thing that we can do! I believe that there is a nugget of God inside each child and it's up to us to protect that and keep that spirit safe as well as their physical beings. Fyi: you should stay inside right now - there is a killer flu going around (I live in San Diego). Being solitary as much as possible is very healthy right now. Eating out is never a good idea. People have such blind faith in the kitchen staff. And we never really know what was used to grow the food they use or the chemicals to process it. Eating out is just an overpriced indulgence in "shouldn't've done that." I always feel it the next day. Best of luck to you and your family including Bernard and Luna and most importantly your precious child!

    I like allowing people to make an offer, sometimes I never price anything and I say when they bring it up to me, what would you like to pay for it, or what do you think it’s worth and that what I have them pay. Most people will never over lowball it due to respect for the quality of the piece then you have a good amount to donate to your charity :)

    As my life played out I was never able to have a house and oh how I want one, but it will never happen So if you have a house, know you have something that I have wanted all my life and will never have. I have had to rent apartments all my life. At one time I did rent a house, but was never at home in that community and had to leave for peace of mind. I feel a great part of me has never been able to live. I have never been able to mature like a normal human being. I will die not feeling I lived at all except for all the years that have passed. And so it goes.

    It’s easy for me to stay home a week at a time - in fact, I cherish and crave those long interrupted times and find that my creativity peeks without interruptions and quiet time. Seeing your bunnies makes me wonder - could you do a video on how you raise/train your bunnies to be house pets? How is having/caring for a bunny different than having a cat? Your videos take me back to my first pregnancy where we lived in a small one room schoolhouse that we converted to our home. We had no money and had to live very simply and frugally. It was a special time for sure. The birth of my son, in those simple times in that small one room schoolhouse - enchanting.

I am a grandma and my love for my granddaughter is as strong as it was for our son. Your book collection is beautiful, books are so difficult to part with, and did I spy a Strawberry Thief cushion? I love the William Morris designs and once visited his former home in the Cotswolds, which is now a museum in his memory. Spring cleaning to make way for new chapters in life is an important task but sometimes difficult to part with little treasures that all have meaning and sentimentality. Ultimately though it enables freshness and new vibrancy to enter the home.
