    great to see other people start showing the world, that dubai isnt always what it seems to be. I myself have done some photojournalistic work in one of the labour camps in dubai as well.
    Lets raise some awareness and show the truth.

    I have been in Dubai for a couple of months, my UK based company have given me the task of transforming the performance of the sub continent workforce. Today I moved my guys into better digs, they were sleeping 4 to a room, cooking in the same small space, which was crawling with lice and cockroaches. How can anyone be expected to do a 12 hour shift then come back to this? No wonder performance has suffered

    I pray in the future that reporters will be more mindful of those they hope to report. The lack of professionalism and sincerity is disconcerting.

    This camp is better than some other camps in UAE. Somewhere no sufficient toilets too. The toilets are also dirty.

    Compared to my country that´s not bad for a construction worker. Maybe it is not pretty and maybe smells funny, but it does look very well organized and at least they have A/A.

    Thats a simpel example of the economy in the world. If you want luxury you will ever have poorness. The best example is Dubai, on one side the world richest people on other side the poor worker from India and Pakistan.

    REALLY? Did you see the video?? You just happened to make a comment on this one, please tell me what is wrong with it. Slaves didnt have running water, cell phones, beds,washers, A/C, clothes, and all the stuff you see here. Most people in Cuba dont have any of those things, looks like a normal neighborhood in Havana, not even a poor one. AND, waaaaay better than India, no offense to anybody.

    @h00056352 By the way, India is one of the richest countries in the world, and most of these workers are NOT Indian and no, they get two handfuls of rice a day to eat, they wear the same two sets of clothes daily (one for working, one for home), their passports get confiscated, they are forced in debt, so they dont have money, and just look at their "labor camps" why dont you try to stay for a minute in one.

    this isn't THAT bad... it's worse in many parts of the world... about 10 times as worse... open sewers, makeshift zinc huts, scraps of wood put together... if you look at the airconditioners above the doorways.. that's even provided. In other countries you'll get 12 guys crammed into a room with triple bunk beds, double-loaded corridors with no cross ventilation and no airconditioning, i'm speaking hot sticky modern malaysia, indonesia singapore and thailand...

  • @maaz96

    I love that people justify shitty conditions by saying there are worse to be met elsewhere. Or the, "at least the fat cats are employing people" defense. Given to the profits this place was designed to make, these conditions are a downright unethical exploitation.

  • @Volkerball77
    @Volkerball77 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't believe this goes on in a place like Dubai, where everything is so Modern, then you got a 3rd world hell for the workers, this is so sad

    Dubai is only a fancy land far from the reality that advertisers who formulate lies. It is the Egypt of the bible when the Israelites were under pharaoh's stronghold charged with hard labour. However, many of the workers died through illnesses, malnurishement,some died of accidents.

    in this documentary this honorable lady is showing the real dirty senless face of the so called muslim country uae dubai govt, who treats these labourers worst then dirt waste, even most of these labours are their so called muslims brothers. i pitty on their bad condition and their accomodation and for a few bucks they work, their monthly salary is equel to the dubai people spend in a day for their food. we need to show to the world that please treat everyone as you treat yourself.
