      @trevor8307 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      It’s possible. I remember in 98 when they pitched batting practice to McGwire in September (he didn’t even need the help). Sometimes a player’s accomplishments are so hyped that everyone wants to be involved, good or “bad”. Same thing with Pujols two years ago. With the best of the best, sometimes even opposing teams understand that the good of the game is more important than their own stats or ERA. It’s as though the league feels that the elite have earned their place and why not “let” it happen. I don’t think it takes anything away from their accomplishments; if the league thinks they deserve it, I can respect that. This being said, #52 from last night was one of the highest pitches I’ve ever seen go for a HR. Ohtani is not human.

      If you know the manufacturering process then you know they aren't meddling with the balls. There is no magic dust they can put on it.
      The dead balls and juiced balls were due to inconsistency in this like the thickness of the seams. MLB was getting the balls. Then after complaints they had the manufacturer create new balls that didn't do whatever was the issue previous... then people complain it wasn't the same ball as last year... you know the balls they complained weren't like the balls the previous year.

    • @1TightMinute
      @1TightMinute หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sure they knew about steroids also. They want records to be broken bc they want ratings. Like you said they juiced the balls for three years str8. I’d love to see it tested.

    • @trevor8307
      @trevor8307 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I don’t involve myself in the juiced ball conspiracies. I don’t have knowledge of the process of producing and delivering baseballs, so it would be unfair for me to comment. I can comment on pitches. Now, the uneducated will talk about Ohtani’s third HR from the other night. They’ll say it was rigged. They don’t realize that in blowouts it’s pretty typical to see a position player throwing batting practice late in the game. This wasn’t necessarily “meant” for Ohtani, it just worked out that way. People will see what they want to see…confirmation bias (especially with casual fans or blinded haters).

Then they said they fixed it... then they said "oops, some juiced balls still got leaked out". Once MLB said that, there was an entire study done by analyzing both foul balls that were collected, and studying things like exit velo - and one of the stadiums that "accidentally" kept getting the most juiced balls? Angel stadium. Then there have been articles that they "Accidentally" gave Judge juiced balls in 2022 during his home run chase. If you think they would "Accidentally" give it to Judge and NOT Ohtani (who they put up a graphic during other sports about when he's due up next), I have a bridge to sell you

    I don’t believe MLB was messing with Ohtani’s 50th ball so that he could hit homerun easier, if that’s what conspiracy theorists mean. It was just a matter of time for Ohtani to hit 50th homerun anyway after he hit 49th. There’s no reason to set it up for the 50th like that. Rather, MLB authenticated 50th ball so that there’s no bogus claim of the ball by potential catchers. This practice has been common since McGwire chased his homerun record through Judge when he hit 62nd in 2022. As far as Ohtani’s comment on “he wanted to get it done as expeditiously as possible”, an interpreter did not do a good job to convey nuance of what Ohtani meant. It’s Japanese culture behind Japanese language in which we Japanese put ourselves in other people shoes when we are the center of the action. In this case Ohtani felt bad that people had to do the extra work of changing the ball every time he gets in the batter’s box only because he is chasing the record. That’s why he felt that he wanted to get it over with ASAP given consideration to people around him. Get it ?

    I do think its rigged and staged. I hate when baseball people say weve never seen anything like this when just last year we saw a 40/70 season and weve literally just saw back to back 40/40 seasons. Making the bases bigger has made the bases closer together by about 5 inches and this make it way easier to steal bases. We will have a 40/40 season every season now. Its just way easier to do now. It annoys me when sports guys who have ignored baseball say things like "This will never be done again or Weve never seen this before" Both are not true. We saw it last year. We will see it again next year when Delacruz or someone else does it. Its way easier to steal bases now. The stolen base success rate in 2022 was 74% and in 2023 was 80% and this is desbite the 2023 season havin 600 more stolen bases for the season than in 2022. Its waaaaaaay easier to steal bases now than it ever has been. So sorry but any of the 40/40 seasons prior to the last 2 were just more impressive. Jose canseco would have probably stolen 80 bases the season he went 40/40.

      its rigged in the sense that they made base running easier for everyone. But they didn't rig it exclusively in favor of Ohtani, everyone should have a better time stealing bases.

    I don’t know or care how much that ball is worth. But I clearly see there are a lot of covert jealousy and racism even in MLB for sure. If I were his teammate then I would cheer and let him break all the mlb records. After he started to the second base, why hit the ball even you cannot hit it right? Isn’t that obvious he will steal the bases when he is on the first?

      That too but I think some people are racist or don’t like foreign players. I remember when Ichiro was playing and during his first season he won ROY and MVP. He also had a MLB record of most hits in a season: 262. But many people disregarded Ichiro. If Shohei and Ichiro were white, black or Hispanic, there would be less haters.

      No they hate him because he is Asian. It's not normal for an Asian to be dominating so an Asian do, they get tons of hate. If no one believes just dona quick research and you will see. Asian hate is the most downplay hate in the World. Especially in the USA.

    haters gonna hate.
    i mean i believe riggings do happen. 1st comes to mind is soccer players keep getting cuffed because they were paid to throw. 2nd is the Angel Reese. she & her supporters assume people are stupid, but their actions are pretty transparent.
    S.O. is just great.
