I think admiral Nelson(a British admiral) used a similar tactic to the "Ackbar slash" during the napoleonic wars against the french fleet at trafalgar. So that's cool!
Well done as always, love the lore accurate Ackbar slash plus the heavy assault towards the mid-rim and core, post game analysis and tips as usual: I’d say you’ve now learnt what good a few MC80s and ackbar can do now, mon calamari ships have guns on every side while ISDs can only fire forward and even less with the sides, use that to your advantage and charge in! Don’t worry too much about the mon cal ships, their shields are the best in the game and if it’s getting bad just pop the shield boost ability, with just a few clicks and good positioning they become absolute monsters that can melt imperial fleets, just make sure to pack some fighter escorts because their hangars aren’t that big. I’d also recommend using more Dauntlesses if you want to do more of these Ackbar slashes, they have way more powerful close range weapons and are made for CQC, plus the Sullustans put missile jamming ability in this bad boy so even victory classes are countered. They pair up amazingly with the MC80s as big brawlers, plus Home one has enough shields and hull to not need plot armour, welcome to the rebel ISD buffet……. For the battle of bestine, it’s a culmination of a lot of the lessons you’ve learnt in AOTR, ground combat is bloody…… one of the big problems with late game AOTR is that the empire ai will have almost everything in the core worlds upgraded, that means tier 2-3 outposts and factories that have some stupidly strong garrisons. Imperial AA walkers (and turrets) have to be dealt with before you send in your fighters and bombers, oh and they can target your Y-wings in their bombing runs too, so either send some fast hovercraft in or just glass that piece of junk with orbital bombardment…… as for the ATATs, I’m afraid a frontal charge isn’t the best idea, especially when they are made to tear tanks and vehicles open. Rocket troopers and air is certainly the best way to handle them, but with their support still intact it is an absolute bloodbath. I can’t believe the Dave is actually learning how to use combined arms tactics, looks like you’re going to need more units……. Speaking of more units, MINES, MINES MINES MINES MINES MINES = BIG FAT CREDIT PAYDAYS! Ok maybe I’m overhyping this but this is pretty much a grand strategy game on the big map, and you always need more credits. Planets capable of mining are shown in the description of each planet, and most of the minable planets you own is unfortunately a bit filled with other buildings right now, such as your rebel manufacturing camps…… now DONT sell them immediately to free up room for mines, in fact you should keep them up, that +150% income bonus works wonders when you pair it up with 2-3 mines, but you’re gonna have to sell the other buildings if you want full income optimisation. Each ground mine provides 300 credits per week, space mines 400, and Tibana gas 500. They have a steep initial cost but they’ll pay themselves back quick and all that $$$$$ can be used for even more ships and troops. Do remember to keep actual troops as garrisons on these planets though, it’s all fun in games when you raid poorly defended imperial mining planets, not so much when imperial spec ops suddenly raid your poorly defended mines, don’t make the same mistake the empire does, slap down a good amount of infantry to deter raids on your most profitable planets! Here’s a list of outerim planets that you have or can take easily and make some fat cash: Yavin (Tibana gas + ground mines) Bespin (Tibana gas) Zarr (Tibana gas) Ord Ibana (Tibana gas) Kessel (space and ground mines) Orto Plutonia (ground mines) Malastare (ground mines + space for tax) Aeten II (ground mines) Mygeeto (ground mines) Ryloth (ground mines) Jabim (ground mines) Utapau (ground mines) Anoat (ground mines) Illum (ground mines + Jedi) Jakku (ground mines) Jedha (ground mines) I didn’t include most of the mid-inner rim core mines because you’re unlikely to reach those anytime soon, but for now I highly recommend consolidating the outer rim and boosting your income……. 30,000 Credits per week should be a start Keep up the good work! I can’t believe my comment made it into the video! Love the series and I’ll be waiting for next episode!
Oh, this has to be your best comment yet! Gonna keep this one. Breakdown: Oh, man. The Rebel ISD Buffet tastes so good. Bringing in the MC80s and using their shields with the Ackbar Slash was incredible. Adding in Dauntless would make it even better. I'm thinking of upping the space combat tactical pop, so that'd make things even more entertaining to watch. Gosh, you're so right about the battle of Bestine. That was tough. Those AT-AT in a frontal assault are so deadly. Flanking them in that instance would've been the move - you're right. Also, Imperial AA is just so good against my guys. I always struggle with them, but as you say, gotta charge those things. I think bringing in a strategic multi-flank task force that would've surrounded the enemy from both sides would've worked (in addition to the bombing run and bombardment). I'll keep that in mind for next time. Mines, mines, mines, mines. All MINE, haha. Dude, this is the greatest list you've ever given me. Thank you so much. I need this. Yes, I'll maximize the mining potential in the next episode and will use your list accordingly. I guess I'll place some troops down to defend the mines from Imperial invaders and then go from there. So good. 30,000 credits / week sounds wild. Gosh, that's exciting. Glad you enjoyed the shout out. You're incredible, man. I"m so grateful for all of these tips. Thank you again. Keep 'em coming!
Glad I refreshed at just the right moment! I know what I'm gonna do for the next hour fifteen! Edit: NOOOOO FROSTBITE!!!!!!!! it wont be the same without losing him twice every battle...i want him back!
@@SeeRoosterGaming did you buff the jedi like you said you would because a higher hp would be cool and maybe a very slow heal, honestly id like the idea of giving someone like cal katern (jedi version) in space to have a battle meditation where it boost the fire rate, speed and hp for a limited time. idk bout ground iether give him both a lightsaber and blaster with solos (increasd fire rate) and maybe keep sprint or give him a jedi ability
I wonder if Rooster takes out the Hapes if he gets their tech?!, same with Corporate Sector and the Mandalorians? Cause if that's the case, it would open up so much more for his space and ground units.

13:45 If you move infantry in a group, they'll move at the speed of the slowest unit. So that sprint did nothing there.

I always thought they looked like fish more than anything…….. whaddya mean they are fish people and that was very offens- Oh!……. oh……
