HUNTING Adeline is the follow up and should come with a laundry list of Trigger Warnings as it revolves more around the Human and Sex Trafficing world and everything that comes along with it. The actual dark romance is less pronounced than the first book...until the last half of the book. It's good, it's better on audiobook, and spicy for sure but be warned, it's heavy!

punk 57 remains one of my favorites of all time. pure “emo boy with a heart of gold but has a backwards way of pursuing his good intentions” supremacy. it’s a self-indulgent roller coaster ride but, for me, the niche trope CATERS. and completely transcends the problematic elements.
I actually really enjoyed Haunting Adeline!! The vibes were really gothic, and Zade’s thriller storyline was DARK. Also thanks for the heads-up on Sea of Ruin!! Just got it and I might pick it up next 👀
Punk 57 was one of the first romances I read, and it was my first 5 star read on that year! It was your recommendation that made me pick it up, so this is a real full circle moment for me 😂
I couldn't get through "it ain't me, babe" either which sucked because I was so excited for it :/ just could not connect with either character or their relationship
i think for anyone who liked the mindfuck series i would recommend the darkverse series by runyx! mindfuck and darkverse are my top fav dark romance series atm
Sea of Ruin is definitely a book you should try again, the ending made me cry, I had a difficult time with the abuse/trauma in the book but once you bypass it the story becomes even more beautiful!

@@chandlerainsley if you feel haunting adeline pushed new types of sx scenes, try her soul to take. i hated haunting adeline personally, it was filler, rpey smut, filler, rpe, filler with bad writing. her soul to take is so much better!

I never knew dark romance was a thing well accept like 50 shades of grey. Im glad I found this genre.
