AHHH YOURE REACTING TO MY COUNTRY'S ENTRY! What she's singing about is that she's a free girl, she won't confirm to "conservative" Armenian men's standards and will be as free and happy as she wants to be! And she's wearing and incorporating our traditional Armenian rugs, it's one of the things we are very well known for! The chorus is very common for Armenian folk music, we use that La La La sound a lot.
Am I right in my thought that Jako is a nickname for her name, Jaklin?
@benjwilliams5104 I think so! That one I'm not sure on but I'd assume yes as we are fond of nicknames!
@@benjwilliams5104 yeah, it's her pet name. Here we use the shortened versions of our names as pet names and usually add "o", "ush", "ik", "chik", "shik" suffixes.
I adore this song! How happy! How vibrant! How wonderful!
@@gayavardan mine is Talosheeg for Talar 🤣
I love it! I love when countries celebrate their culture... And when women speak loud!
100%! 💕
Always a joy to add to the list of "Hot guys playing a flute-like instrument at ESC"!
Agreed! 😂💕
It's called shvi
He really is a snack isn't he.
I had a thought about your comment about this song being ‘repetitive’ - I think that’s what makes it feel so much more like a folk song, which usually has a folk dance that goes with it. If a folk song has too much variation and change, it becomes difficult to do folk dances to (which often have basic steps that are repeated).
I personally love that it feels like, if I heard this at a community party, I could join the other people in my community to folk dance with them at any point in the song that I want to. It’s the Greek folk dancer in me that is drawn to this song. But I understand where you’re coming from though; it doesn’t have a radio-ready song structure.
You absolutely could do an Armenian shourchbar dance to this song!
@@talosheeg Brilliant, thanks so much! I will now spend hours looking up videos of this dance 😁
I love this so much, i love to hear traditional/ethnic sounds in music!
Bumped into this duo recently and I love their reactions. Love from Armenia 🇦🇲 I enjoy Ladaniva’s songs- quite happy and easy listening
Pretty sure this is gonna be like Moldova 2022. Maybe Nova is bothered by the repetitive chorus cause she probably listened to it a few times already, but when people watch this for the first time, with everybody chanting the chorus together, it's gonna be crazy, and it's gonna be party.
The Moldovan song seemed very long to me, while this feels shorter. It probably is 20 seconds less anyway.
My rankings this year have been so difficult to place! Armenia was a real grower on me, Nova you might find yourself changing its location!
Olympia has already moved it up on her scoreboard to 14th, according to the Eurovision Scorebaord app. Jako is #3 for me at the moment, personally. I am in LOVE with this song!
Thanks love from ARMENIA 🇦🇲
I have a soft spot for this one it’s a bop😀
This is in my top 5 I’m obsessed with it!
Jaklin(JAKO) bravo super💃🕺👏👏👏Armenia go 🇦🇲❤🏆🎆
I would recommend watching their performance at the Madrid pre-party because their vocals are amazing live and it was just sooooo fun!
If you guys don't specifically do a reaction to Albania's revamp, one big video on looking at multiple revamps would still be super fun !
It will resonate much more with mediterenian, slavic and other cultures that have this kind of celebrations, family and friend get together...it just brings out something in folks from those nations. It's a cultural thing I think. I have it on 4th, between Italy and greece. Greetings from Croatia 😅
Maybe do an all in one video for Malta, Albania and Czechia?
That's a good idea!
@@NovympiaI agree with this.
Armenia, my 4th place. Have a great Easter night,
I love this song! It's just so fun and happy! Really hope it qualifies
GO JAKO & LOUIS, LADANIVA! ARMENIA! 💥💃😂🎉 ❤💙🧡
SING ❤ DANCE 💙 JUMP 🧡 CLAP ☆♡☆♡☆ & WHISTLE TO JAKO, ARMENIA 💥 🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
Nooo, I dont want this to be the end of these react videos. As and American who has never known much about Eurovision Im now hooked bc of these videos!
OMG! So catchy!
Love it! 😅
🇬🇧❤️🇦🇲
Yay! I’ve been waiting for Armenia
Definitely up for a reaction to Albania’s revamp as it’s such a different song !
Very unpopular opinion, but I actually like this a lot more than Greece. I think the vocoder effect with Greece is very grating, and the more modern style doesn't have any warmth to it. It feels like everything the Greek entry does is done ironically. In Armenia's entry, there is no irony, there is no "too cool for school", its ALL joy, fun, warmth and party. And that's why its going to qualify. The call and response is AMAZING, we don't have any other entry with that kind of excitement that brings in the crowd.
Bellissimo Armenia
Olympia nailed it on the head. This year is a tough one for any calmer songs. It is a good song for Armenia and the video elevates the song greatly. If this is staged with a large table and they all move around it, I could see it getting through.
Olympia, your brows appear maroon purple on cam. A warmer brown might help, IMO, no shade. LOVE your content, and thank you for all the hard work that goes into your channel.
I love this song too and she is just adorable! 💗
I love watching her so much!
So good song Go Ladaniva🇦🇲🎺❤️🔥💃🏻
these eurovision videos were a joy thank youuuuu gewrls
Please revisit Albania's revamp please!! Would like to know your thoughts since i saw it climbed a lot of spots on your rankings
It's a grower for me actually, it's the kind of song that will work really well live, but isn't it something I would necessarily listen to on Spotify, if that makes sense?
It's repetitive, but I think that's kind of the intention with it being very folk inspired. I'll enjoy it on the night, for sure! Hope it qualifies, the singer is so infectiously joyful.
In terms of song itself this is easily top three for me, but in terms of how I think it’ll do I could see it placing similarly to Who The Hell is Edgar (Austria 2023)? One that’s had a great reception from fans as a whole, but might get caught in the crossfire? It’s in a similar vein to me as Italy which is very clearly a front runner to win. So it’s one that I truly could see placing a numerous of ways, and will likely qualify (though I felt similar with Georgia and Iru last year and they got snubbed hard)
I agree with Nova. Greece is going to eat.it.up. (Greece has really got under my skin and I can’t get enough of the “ta ta ta ta” parts and the ending, so good!)
Completely different kind of song. The Greek song is marginally folk, as much electronic sound and it is very episodic.
They're both share the same ids, with different approaches. The Greek singer celebrate her identity with a bit of irony, this one has zero irony, unashamedly.
@@imageez No. According to Eurovision the lyrics in Zari "talk about love, but also about the risks we have to take sometimes; like a dice we throw despite never knowing what it will bring us.". Nothing like the Armenian song.
la la la, ta ta ta, pa pa pa, hu ta ta (that'smy best estonian)...basically my top 5 (and La noia to ad a bit of complexity 😂
12 Points from Germany 🇩🇪
I totally see myself voting for this song in their Semis.
I love Olympia’s last comment to Nova! 😂
Armenia created fun and joyous atmosphere, great singing voice! Dance! Music! Instruments! Visuals! All in all great production
12 points from Australia 🇦🇺 goes to Armenia 🇦🇲
While I don’t believe that I will necessarily be listening to this after May myself, I do think this will do very well with the televote.
This song exudes so much positivity and joy that I cannot see the viewers blanking it, it will be infectious.
Not sure the juries will support them but I’d be very, very surprised if they didn’t qualify.
Could see this mid table or even lower top 10 in the final.
This will make people feel good.
Hello from Miscow. I love LADANIVA. They are very energetic. Talented group.
Really interested to see how Armenia stages this
I think Jako might actually be an autobiographical song for the vocalist, Jaklin. This is just a guess on my part.
It is! It was her childhood nickname and the song is about how she navigates the world as an Armenian woman in a male dominated country
Yes, reactions on the revamped songs would be super cool!
I usually am so aligned with Nova but this is funny - I do not get Greece at all and I love this one!
I like both of them. They are both in my Top 10 together with Italy and Croatia.
❤❤❤
LOL NOT THE KARDASHIANS AT 8:01!!! Those are often the first famous Armenians anyone thinks of and it makes me wanna cry. As a diaspora Armenian-ish I like the hook but wish it were less repetitive for sure.
I love this song a lot, actually more than greece. She is likeable and I love folk vibes and all about song so I disagree 😉. I hope will qualify. For me personally least interesting song is from Czech. This year many songs are great and I actually like UK entry too belong to one of my favourites in my ranking😊.
I think it seems like a fun song and I love the message. Repetitive sounds tend to bother me, whether I like it or not, so I think this wouldn't be in my top 10. I also can't handle those songs where the sound goes in and out, like a pulse. It's like they make my brain itch.
Armenia🇦🇲 super vidyo thengyu ❤🤗
I see a realm where this doesn't qualify...but, it's a far stretch.
It is far away enough in the actual running order from Greece 🇬🇷 where it will not be affected...since it's actually sandwiched between Denmark 🇩🇰 (standard pop song) and Latvia 🇱🇻 (male ballad), it will be the fun between!!
It's what I want from a few songs in Eurovision every year...aural transportation to an artist's country's culture!!
And it is another couple here, actually...Jaklin (Jako) is from Armenia 🇦🇲, Louis Thomas is the multi-instrumentalist from France 🇫🇷
Louis' faces in the music video crack me up a lot, BTW
In my Top 10, Olympia!!!
We filmed this before the running order was released - I too see this qualifying now! - Nova
I really don’t see it not qualifying either. These types of super infectiously happy, danceable songs always do well with the casual audience.
LADANIVA will be ARRIVING FROM OUTER SPACE & landing on the ESC stage in a Rocket‼️ 🚀🚀🚀 ps: & performing after they've substituted their warmup shot of Rum, to ROCKET fuel!!! YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH 🌟🌟🌟🧿🧿🧿 💜❤💜😂🤣😜 🇦🇲
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ OUTER SPACE ENERGISERS‼️ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ LADANIVA IS UNEARTHLY‼️ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
🌟🌟🌟 LET'S ALL GET READY ‼️‼️ TO VOTE ‼️‼️ FOR SOME LADANIVA PARTY FUN!!!!! 😅🥳🤩🎉🎊🎈🧿 🍾🥂🍻🍺🍹🍸🍷🍶 🌟🌟🌟
Let me start by saying I love you both and your humour and I watch every video, especially those eurovision related. However I would really appreciate it that if you are reacting to a song you actually react to it for the first time on your channel, because it becomes more an overanalysis than a genuine reaction. I totally understand that you can't do this if you follow national finals, but with internal selections it shouldn't be too hard, you did it for the uk for example. Thank you for your videos :)
Unfortunately with these reaction videos we have learned that everyone has totally different ideas of what they should be and how we should do them so it's impossible to please everyone 😅 We blind reacted to several entries this year - France, Cyprus, Netherlands & UK off the top of my head but there might have been more. And the comments were full of people saying we should have researched the song and looked up the lyrics and that we don't understand it 😅 So I think we'll just continue doing a mix like we have been. Similarly people have different ideas as to whether we should be talking over the song, or keep interrupting and pausing the song to talk or just sit in silence. It's been a really interesting experience seeing how strongly and how differently people feel about it all 😅💕
@@Novympia i never understood why people watched reaction videos and expected the reactors to sit and watch in silence... but as we say in spanish, opinions are like asses, everyone has one 🤷🏻♀️ thanks for your reply :)
Agree with Olympia, it's going to sail through a la Moldova 2022. It's inviting, it's infectiously fun, and the singer's likeability will be the gateway for the public to get into the song. Yes, there's a little bit of overlap with Greece, but those similarities (charisma, fun, ethnic) are the ones that work in their favour with voters.
Cher is of Armenian heritage. Maybe Armenia could get her to supply a chorus for this song in her own good time?
I feel like this is the first time this season I fully agree with Olympia. This song is a party!!!! Olympia and I have WILDLY different tastes. I’m usually on the Nova side.
Final reaction video? I can't for the life of me find one for Iceland :)
They're skipping Iceland because of the weirdness surrounding the result, they don't rate the song either.
The question for me about this was, it it a song that transcends all over Europe? It's a traditional song which would probably appeal more to countries that are near Armenia, such as Azerbaijan,Turkey,Georgia. The style and the repetitiveness of the song for me puts it low on my list. When it comes on I skip it also like Nova but controversially i do that with Norways and I know you have that high on your list @nova.
I see Mediterranean and Balkan countries also vibing strongly with this. Plus for a lot of viewers across the board, this is exactly the type of music they watch the show for - fun ethnic bops they would never come across outside of Eurovision.
It's funny to hear Olympia say last year was a weak year. I like a lot of songs this year but last year was just full of bangers for me and was a vintage.
👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
you can do reactions to all revamps in one video ❤
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Oh I loves her. She reminds us of Nelly Furtardo visually. A fun song 💜
love me some armenia
Did i miss your reaction to Azerbaijan?
We don't feel comfortable covering Azerbaijan this year and have decided not to.
@@Novympiathank you ❤ they ethnically cleansed Armenians, the ongoing pain they are causing to Armenians is unbelievable…
👍🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
Dita! Dita! Dita!
I'm team Lymp on this one, this is going to qualify... surely?!
Nova, Come on Let's dance! I l know she can take it I just wanna Dance with somebody... Love you too Olympia), (you,re not as stiff as Nova)
An always devoted fan of both of you
ARMENIAN ❤❤❤
Armenia is the best 🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Where is Iceland and Luxembourg?
We explain a little towards the end of our Australia reaction video that we have decided not to cover these countries this year.
This kind of feels like a stereotype of a Bollywood movie song. Even the lyrics sound like it.
It DEFINITELY isn't. It's based off of our folk songs.
My country!
Hard agree with Nova! It's charming but way too repetitive and monotone, I feel like they focused on the cultural vibe so much they forgot about the actual song execution if that makes sense.
And pls do a vid on the revamps!
But what club was it?
Complaining about repetitive? Poland is repetitive. I build the tower again and again. This song is so fun!
Ow yeah, poland was fun to listen once, after 3rd time i got so bored of the lyrics
one word: sand. SAAAAAAAAAND!
@@motherofslavs8761 I forgot about SAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNND! SAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNND! SAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNND!
You haven’t reacted to Israel have you?
Absolutely not, no.
This is like Turkish folk music. Funky.
I agree with Nova, I prefer Greece too. I think Armenia will struggle, it's a joke entry to me and in that genre there are better ones.
I don’t dislike this as much as Nova seems to, but similarly I love so much everything else I’ve seen from Ladaniva (Jako’s energy and charisma is amazing) and this one has left me a bit underwhelmed.
Not having heard any other music from Ladaniva ourselves this is an interesting opinion to read!
Agree with Nova, it's so repetitive and it's not something I would ever stream. I would love a reaction to the Albania revamp, the song is so different now. I would also recommend Czechia and Malta as I would say both those songs have decently new sounds to them.
Armenia🇦🇲🇦🇲👍👍
🩷🩵💜💚🖤
Is this an Indian song?? I don't understand what this is
I’m very attracted to the trumpet man 🤤
Is that a chicken?😂❤
Adorable artist. The song was fun but meh.
I am not realy fond of the Armenian entry. I appreciate the particular ethnic vibe of it, but i can not really enjoy it snd i csn nit listen to it up to tbe end, but that is only my opinion aboutbiy. Good luck Armenia!

Nora, get the door and don’t come back.
🥲
I really enjoy her - Nova nailed it with "infectious." And the song is fun. But I don't think I'd need to hear it again. 🖤🩷
Don't forget Azerbaijan 🇦🇿!!! It's great!
We haven't forgotten - we've decided not to cover Azerbaijan this year. We don't feel comfortable doing so with current events that are happening.
@@Novympia understandable. It's still a beautiful song though.

Hey girls, is there a reason why you don’t have azerbaijan on your lists? Just asking
Could be because they recently ethnically cleansed 100,000 of us out of traditional Armenian lands that had belonged to them on paper, keep trying to take over the rest of our country and use Israeli weapons to do it, but I am not them so I'm not sure their reasons, but they did mention they're not comfortable covering Azerbaijan this year and frankly as an Armenian I'm glad for it.
@@talosheeg thanks for the clarification, I didn´t know that
@hey_loranda no worries. The Azerbaijani lobby is AMAZING at suppressing anything Armenian, just take a look at any Armenian comment section on TH-cam, hell, every tiktok I saw of this song was FILLED with turks and azeris spamming their flag and saying that we are dogs. They are amazing at making sure Armenians don't get a voice.
0:29 Azerbaijan enters stage left
We're not covering Azerbaijan this year.
