if you are comparing the food price then you should even compare the income in India and US

Earnings in India *5 = earnings in USA
Expenses in India * 4 = expenses in USA.
So you cannot compare both and not come to USA.
Spending in USA similar to top 10% income earners in India. They prefer convenience over price.
