It’s also the fact they come back full Heath and if you just team wiped them chances are your pretty hurt already so it can basically just become a reverse team wipe

Bastion in turret mode with a Sheild was a monster back then
Not only that her healing was fucking amazing and faster and her damage boosting was nuts. Add the mass rez she was an insta lock for alot of pros and casuals

Yea I do not miss having to play "wheres mercy" cause you'd always know they were about to dump ults when they were pushing up, and their mercy was nowhere to be seen.
It was excessive but I like the ability to bring back more than just 1 person especially when you res the wrong person cause they both died next to each other.
i miss old symmetra days, teleport near enemy base, that never goes away and 6 lasers ^^
They need to give mercy a rework the damage boost can be broken but i think it should be a fire rate increase and buff her healing a bit not a lot but a enough to make it seem like your actually healing

I think they should do something with mercy's beam and rez cooldown.
They could do a DOTA2 and make it an interactive and thoughtful ability, like have it so if Mercy is healing someone with the beam and they die, Rez's CD has 5-10 seconds taken off of it (max cd would be at 50-1m cd of course to balance all of this) but also if mercy is healing someone and they heal over 125hp rez's cd is reduced by 2-3 seconds.
Same with damage beam, make it so Amp damage only does a tiny bit of damage increase, but the more damage your target deals the stronger the beam gets, and make it like Zen's discord orb where you have a few seconds to reconnect to someone to maintain the damage bonus.
Literally adds dynamics to mercy that would improve her skill ceiling that isn't just buggy as fuck movement made mechanic, plus fighting her she's insentivised to heal almost dead people even if it won't save them she'll get her rez cd back faster, plus since she's mass healing during ult, her ult isn't just a afk heal farm or dps jokes play button, instead she'd be flying around popping rez's off and avoiding damage but rezzing slows her more often so there's a better chance to counter play her ult instead of trying to bull whip a fly going Mach 2.
I like the thought and the idea of this but as someone who has put A LOT of hours into Mercy, this can be highly abuse able and broken. Mercy mains will always find a way to make their kit as broken as possible. Hence why everyone hates playing against a good mercy.

You could also do this from spawn. Talking especially about gibraltar last point. Send the team out, enemy uses ults and then while you're in spawn safe and sound you rez all of them. Good times!

As someone whos been gm since early ow1 to when i quit, you almost never saw mass rez. Mercy was hard punished if she tried it. It was never broken people were just new at the time

I miss old symmetra, so easy to counter yet good symmetras were insane. I really hope they bring her back at some point even if no shield gen, I miss the moving shield man

Overwatch 1 beta was the best gaming experience this game series has ever seen. I dont know what kind of drugs the devs were on after beta but its not even fun anymore
To be fair all they really need to do is just make it require line of sight. If you can't shoot down a giant butterfly zooming in to mass rez, kinda on you. That second clip is proof enough that a lot of the times the players just neglected to shoot the literal light show flying into their faces.
Cause I mean, there's something to be said about the fact that Mercy went from the quick fix medic to literally standing still to do her job. Pretty sure that's a jab at the players lol. She went from being able to fly in...to literally standing near motionless to perform the same job, but on a much smaller scale.

For people wondering, it wasn't nice for the team who got rezzed either. The Mercy would always just stand still behind a corner and literally watch you die. A winnable team fight would be lost all because Mercy just sat behind a corner. And afterwards if they went for the rez, they could get killed before launching it, effectively having the entire team feed to the enemy for 1 fight.

while I remember these days, and liked playing mercy, she was objectively not the best healer. because when mercy had mass rez ult, you were encouraged to not heal and go hide, which let the enemys know, "Oh ya, their mercy has ult, genji go find her"

Oddly enough the mercy rework started the downword spiral for the game. Blizzard wanted to make sure the game was "balanced" instead they greifed it because they didn't understand that its ok to have bad characters. Not everything has to be ultra competitive.

Most characters can team wipe with their ults. Mercy should be able to team revive, idgaf.

You could for quite a while. Or at least, you could rez, then valk to reset the cooldown for it and rez a second one.

Old Mercy should be brought back. The speed of her rez should DEFINITELY be brought back. There was nothing wrong with her ultimate being a full team rez.
i think if they bring that back you have to come back with half your hp values for 3-4 seconds or you can’t be healed for 3more then enough to take out ppl before the debuff ends
