Buck has always been a triple threat like few others: great voice, excellent songwriter and superb guitar player. If they hadn’t done anything more than those first four albums, they’d still be a legendary band. But of course they had a whole lot more excellent material. The Symbol Remains was a triumphant return, what a great album.
I started following them in 1972. We’ve always lived FAR from the Cities but I’ve still managed to see them 48 times. It’s worth mentioning that the current lineup has been together longer than the original. And they still ROCK live.
I love BOC so much . I've seen them 3 times and once I got a hug from Buck Dharma. Now my 11 year old grandson got to go to his first BOC concert last year❤❤
Can't wait to see them in Laughlin, NV in September '24...my wife got tickets for my birthday! Last time I saw them..and one of my guitar heroes..Buck Dharma..was in Indiana back in '81 or '82. So freaking stoked!
I wore out their first vinyl album! Got to see them in about '72 or '73 in a tobacco warehouse in Bowling Green, KY. It was very much like the "cowbell". They would take off rocking like crazy, then all of a sudden TOTAL power failure. Numerous times! It didn't stop my girlfriend from falling in love w/ Buck. I was soooooo jealous...
Blue Oyster Cult is in the same rank as the Eagles, and Bad Company. How I wish Donald Roeser would have teamed up with Henley, Frey, Felder, and Paul Rodgers to do an album. BOC released a ton of killer rock tracks. But I believe the 1983 album long version “Shooting Shark” is their anthem song. 🎤🎸🎹🥁🦈
Blue Öyster Cult is the epitome of American rock music, yet somehow completely ignored by the entity known as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I'm convinced this is by design, but why?
An absolutely incredible band
Great musicians
A rock n roll treasure

The fact that BOC isn't in the Hall of Fame is criminal.

I was 11 when an older cousin brought me to see Soft White Underbelly in July 1968.

Take Me Away is an underrated balls-out hard rock classic. Fantastic band.
I saw them 81ish I think, with Head East and 38 special opening.
They sounded great, I was around 11years old.

Most unrated rock band evah. Unique lyrically and musically
This makes me want to go listen to "Godzilla", LOLZ!
Looking forward to seeing them on Thoreaus' birthday, at Ballys, in Lincoln, RI!
BOC and FLEETWOOD MAC
Mes deux groupes préférés.
J'aurais aimé un album de rock mélodique réunissant Buck Dharma et Lindsay Buckingham ⚡
