The blue mansion was used as a shooting location for the movie"Crazy Rich Asian" starring Michelle Yeo(who hails from Ipoh, Perak) and Henry Golding(whose mom hails from Sarawak). The Sakura Vida soft drink is a local product manufactured in Sarawak, Borneo. I much prefer Chinese food.

Penang, the birth place of Nasi Kandar. The oldest Nasi Kandar restaurant is also in Penang. I was born in Penang 49 years ago but since 1984, I've been living here in Alor Setar, Kedah and it's a state just above Penang. The only place that's truly famous worldwide in Kedah is the island of Langkawi. Other than that most foreigners just seem not interested even though Kedah is the oldest state in Malaysia, the first to receive Islam and also has the oldest human civilization archaeological site in South East Asia. Kedah is also known as The Rice Bowl of Malaysia cause most of the land in Kedah are covered by rice fields. Have fun and always stay safe😷😁😷

    Welcome to Malaysia.
In Penang, you should definitely check out their world famous street food. The famous street food in Penang are the char kuay teow, lobak, prawn fritters, assam laksa, hokkien Mee (prawn noodles) & Nasi Kandar.
Penang is also home of the Straits Chinese (baba Nyonya) and you should definitely try to do a tour of a baba Nyonya house and experience their food and culture. Check out Penang Hill while you are there too. Have fun and continue making fun videos of your travels!

Just watched your very well made video , very educational. We have been to penang three times . It's a little like a smaller version of Hong Kong. We have stayed in a BandB in Armenian street , very close to the Cafe which you paid a visit . The last time in Penang we spent a couple of nights in the Blue Mansion. Good food and not expensive. 75 dollars a night . This was before the pandemic . We have also climbed Penang Hill 3 times . Penang in my eyes and mind is probably the best city in Malaysia to spend some time. Our home is in Edmonton Alberta Canada and you are from? Good video

Lovely experience you’re having in Penang! If you love Penang YOU’LL DEFINITELY LOVE MELAKA(MALACCA). It’s 2 hours south of Kuala Lumpur, halfway to Singapore. You can experience Melaka(night river cruise,Stadhuys red building, A’famosa St Paul hill, cendol, coconut shake, asam pedas, dodol & a lot of historical museums) + Johor (Legoland, Johor Premium Outlet, Danga Bay)
Coming down from Penang, you can also stop by Ipoh(Perak) for food hunting. And then Genting Highland (Pahang)! Happy exploring 🌹

Dumplings would have Ben a must for me. Absolutely Loved watching both of you make the yummy noodles. Noodles looked really tasty. Awesome artwork on the streets. Streets .seem very lonely. Making me wonder if everything is Locked after the sun goes down. Absolutely love lamb curry. Absolutely love seeing Shelbs trying something for the 1ST time. Sorry to say I myself have no interest in visiting. Outstanding all around
