Thank you so much for this. I've been trying to make that sound since Fancy came out but I just couldn't get it right. I'm really glad I spent the time to watch this and make the sound.
So in this tut the changed two things that I'm not to clear what the purpose was for. the first was in the Key tracking section (3:02) what was the purpose for that? The second was at 3:10 when he is in the routing section. Im not sure I understand what he meant when he said he was routing through all three OSC. I would really appreciate the insight into what these changes did to the overall sound as well as how they work within Massive. Thanks!
I never noticed there was a Key-tracking filter.. I was always wondering why Massive's filters never sounded like the ones on old school synths or their emulations - it's precisely because of the Key-tracking feature! Thanks for the tutorial
I noticed that the level meter in massive is in the red during your tutorial. Is that a bad thing? I usually try to avoid this by turning down the master volume but its more out of habit.. do I not need to worry about it?
I've noticed that in the Massive tutorials that macro 1 always has vibrato, and yet mine has never had this. I'm on the latest version... is this a custom feature?
All these massive tuts are helpful for trying to figure out how a sound is the way it is, but like shit. 1 - can you guys not have effects plugins turned on WHILE you are showing how to recreate it. 2 - can you guys explain a little more, and in a more logical order? idk lol I get some people don't want to know why the sound sounds like it does, but i'd like to get a little more explanation as it'd help me with synthesis in general. Nice tuts though, they have helped me out a ton for understanding how some sounds work that I've heard and wanted to put a spin on.

Awesome!

A Traveler You're welcome!
You are an awesome teacher!
Thank you!

IMHO you can clip massive as long as the channel its in isnt clipping. Sometimes it sounds better if its clipping a little coming out of massive
***** I tend to agree with Brandon. Sometimes with certain sounds it helps make them more gritty.
OMG That's GREAT xD
1:25 You should have definitely say "First thing first" xD

it should load up the vibrato macro when you create a new sound in Massive.
You can program your own init patch to be whatever you want - www.massivesynth.com/patches/defaultpatch/
mine doesn't seem to have the vibrato macro feature... strange, its a legit copy I got with maschine
You can assign the macro to the vibrato mix. I think it's either in the OSC or the Global settings.
When you open massive the default patch is separate from the initial patch. Click "File" and then New Sound to get the vibrato macro.
