How was the downwind drift of the 6m in those light winds? Any issues jibing as you turn downwind? Oh also what size foil are you using? I ride a 1250 impulse, just curious if you have more/less lift
I feel the wingtips susceptible to fold after a jibe downloop but it recovers quickly. Also on lightwind it likes to backstall so I pull the trim almost all the way. I am a light rider so as 65kg my Lift classic foil has enough lift for my weight. I think it has something around 700cm2. Even at light winds I prefer it than a bigger draggy and slower wave wing.
@@cefirmeza Thanks, that's good to hear. Drag-v-lift is an interesting thing to consider. I also see you have your tacks down! I still have a lot to learn. Thinking a 9m soul might be a good light wind kite for me (75kg)
@@seancrosby4392 yes for sure the 9m Soul is a great allround kite and will get you covered on lightwinds. This 6m is my first foil kite but as I got more confortable I look foward to increase the sizes. One thing to consider is using short lines. I used a few sessions and could manage comfortably stronger winds with same kite. I just finished editing and will drop it soon on my channel so please consider subscribing to keep up. If you didn’t check it yet I make a clip with different views on a tack footswitch: th-cam.com/video/0LGABIehlgM/w-d-xo.html
How low do you think a larger Soul (9-10m or more) could go? I'm targeting the 5-10kts range (75kgs). I can go down to around 7kts with a 12m SS Ghost but would like to go lower as in sub 10kts we often have lulls going down to around 5kts
@@davidflusin5705 In fact I was wondering the same. My 6m soul is my first foil kite and got me impressed with its light wind capabilities. Specially because the power during loops. I can get going down to 11 knots and freeride wing but not enough power for tacks. For sure a 9m and 10m would have much more grunt during transitions and for waterstart.
oh man so annoying so relaxed you are foiling but again a wonderful video and edited 🤙🏻🔥👍🏻
🤟🏽 lot other videos on the way. Stay tuned

Fun day! How much wind?
It was around 11-12 knots. Perfect for a solo ride
Pro tip : you can watch series on kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Jayce Jacob definitely, have been watching on KaldroStream for since november myself :)
