I am a flooring estimator and its the first time I've watched these videos and if I was measuring this job with that bedroom/step thats exactly what I would of suggested as unfortunately some fitters aren't skilled enough to cut and joined that step... ( I said some 😅 )..And that small landing I would be measuring it opposite way to the bedroom...
By your strip on the risers, I'm guessing it's a waterfall install, so I'd run the landing the same direction as the steps, and then just make sure that room & 1/4 turned pile was ran so same look, light to dark
Looks nice.. a couple things I noticed as different from what I do.. -- I choose to remove doors from the pins vs unscrew the whole hardware -- I think the step down from the loft would be nicer with installing some 1x1 or 1x2, to make a stair nose, and eliminate the need for the metal transition But I definitely like your tackstrip spacer tool for the step runner.. great video.. and if you did the hdwd, it also looks nice
The drill you are using on those stairs is too big. I would use a Bosch 12 V where the battery slides into the Gripp. This is also very good when you come to screw door plates down as I’m sure you do using a 16 mil screw with a 3.5mm head.

I am going to run the step down the nosing, instead of keeping it the same direction as the rest of the room
Finish it in the door same pile as room ( trim ) then Lay the mini landing same as stairs
We’re on the same page my brother 👊

Glad to see ye back.

Glad to see you’re back, I’m a carpet fitter myself and love the vids 👍🏻
Helped fit my first carpet yesterday on a customers house nerve wracking not to fuck it up on the cut and tuck 😂
Very nice work
Top job guys 👍🏼
Whey!! They are back! Get in!! Keep it up lads ! Love it👌👌
Lovely job guys
Welcome back lads. Super job as always
i'd follow the pile direction of the loft. but i'm just an apprentice.
Doorbar but only if there's enough tread on the step
Wrong direction to the room so it runs right down the stairs
Would have matched with room
pile down the step
Landing same direction as room
Same direction as the room all day long

Nice work, shame that AW is poor carpet
Over the top step (around 12 mins in)
Of course pile direction always the same Fodsy the carpet fitter Fae glesga
Same direction 😉
