👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 50 years of owning houses and never seen a fitter do that.
Definite the way to go , cheers.
Great tips bro thank you
why you are gluing it down and not stretching it
So he hooks the carpet onto the gripper and then puts a right angle crease in it by knocking it into the corner and then that crease is the cutting guide? I’ve struggled so much previously but will give it a try. Thank you for this video.
GOOD JOB BRO. THANKS FOR MAKING IT QUICK AND INFORMATIVE. NO NEED FOR THE EXTRAS LIKE THE OTHERS.
Wall trimmer
Art work guys ❤
3:10 pole marks, Nobody's come up with a solution for this , ive had a few not come out
Budalla
I'm using 9 mm underlay with a 9 mm thick carpet. Would 6 mm Ply be okay for raising the door bar or would 9 mm be better to match the underlay thickness??
god work
Excellent video bro
Hope Ali got his money back from the cowboys?
90% cowboy work all over the country. Absolutely shocking, Love your channel.Love your influence on the carpet world ❤
I've seen a fitter cut up a stairs landing in the rain. Wow
Stick down glue all day long for me
Love the work and again my apologies too the big man himself.

Thank you bruddah
You uk boys are so lucky that you get to use door bars, just not a standard over here that anyone is used to
Hey 👋...quick question...I've done stairs a few times before and done an OK job for a woman. Could you tell me what it is you're doing before laying with the edge? Do u cut few ml over and fold the edges in? This is the only bit I struggle with. Can never get that proffesional finish on the edges . I'm fitting Friday so replay ASAP please 😂 x
Cut it a few mm extra. Also leave the underlay a few mm short of the edges. Then crimp the edges of the carpet. So it has like a permanent crease. That should do the trick.
@@TrimTuckCarpets thanks so much 🙂 x
Those little fireplaces look like they added time on the job.
They most certainly do
Supper job as always
Use to be unique. Not any more . In my 35 years of carpet installation, runners were done on wide stairs , they are merely an Instagram post nowadays. Must stairs cases are too narrow for runners . Put they are dust and dirt magnets . I’m spending time now covering runners with traditional fully fit stairs. Also cost is a factor, here in Ireland binding stairs are more expensive, plus in most cases the ulay isn’t reusable. Pros and Cons always. 🇮🇪🇮🇪
If you say so ….
@@TrimTuckCarpetsI do 😂
Good vid, thanks
Film in widescreen, to avoid screen wastage. Better picture, plus people have the choice of which way to watch it, if you give them full quality with a widescreen video.
Crap,I just laid a small piece of carpet for the first time and I did wonder about this but all of the videos I watched never said to dp this until just seeing yours now 🤦♂️
Job well done. Why not use a wall trimmer though?
For noobs
Your bait lacks substance and has too much salt
ooga googa dooga roog foog
Beautiful job as always
👍🏻
Trim and tuck are an example of what having a passionate boss and determined staff can do for a business! Top class every single time
I keep odd lvt planks in my van for this. Looks great 👌
Where do you get the mock jobs do you make them
You're a better carpet guy than a video guy. Hold the phone sideways dude. thanks for the tips anyway.
As long as your neighbor likes it..
People working now with no insurance....out of their suvs... first thing they will do will raid the medicine cabinet...cigg butts all around etc...this job actually is about all the quality u will get now
Thanks mate for showing me the side cut as I do first time practicing on off cuts👍🙏 The curved blade is for professional level I suppose? Anyway thanks😀
Yooooo
Wow you should use a carpet knife and wall trimmer and stair tool
Omg no way would I have let them leave having Done that job
Bad isn’t it !
Brilliant used one for years nice video
Do you know what a wall trimmer is?
I don’t know how I’ve got away with it after seeing your standard of fitting
Watched you for a while you are exceptional so professional, the only thing is you must have to charge more as to do what you do takes time?
cool
Fuck laying that
