I enjoyed this video, especially the last few minutes. Started making candles as a hobby in May '22 & I honestly thought it was as easy as getting some wax, get a wick, cute jar, nice fragrance, melt the wax, let it sit for a day, and BAM done! NOPE! Was I ever wrong! Love the point you made about the manufacturers possibly making a change to their wax or fragrance. I found the perfect wax for me and the concrete vessels I make and now they've been out of stock for months. Good idea to always adapt and to have a plan B!

My candles only burn in the middle and the sides don't burn even when I double wick. I use the coconut apricot creme it's driving me no scent from the hot throw. Cold throw is amazing. I'm wicking as we speak
From what I've experienced, that usually means it's not the right wick. You will want to try and wick down. If the flame is dancing (moving too much) it may be too big for your candle and when it burns lower it will burn too hot!

I could insert many colorful words on my war with wicks! This week alone I have rewicked 3 jars 3 x trying to find the perfect wick! Don't give up!
