I use snipers cloak only to run away or to flank from behind. I use heavies to provide protection for my teammates behind me when they might be low on health. Don’t be selfish with your abilities. You need your team and they need you. 3. Use a class you like and are comfortable with. I love sniper and heavy and it’s just the 2 classes I’m most comfortable using and that I have fun with. Use ur secondary if u run out of ammo, or if the enemy is at longer ranges. I’ve seen so many people using an smg or lmg at long ranges and doing barely any chip damage. Make sure you zoom aim too for more accurate shots. For heavy I use the plasma pistol at long ranges, and only use lmg at close to sometimes medium range. I mostly use lmg for suppressive fire so my team can reposition and to keep and enemy trapped in their corner from peeking or moving. 5. If ur a sniper, use cloak to pick off people in the back or to target other snipers, heavies, or balwurks from behind. Getting rid of these guys first can make a huge difference for your team. 6. If someone is a balwurk all you have to do is dodge backwards and shoot, heavy melee them, flank behind them, use a grenade, or parry and then isntnslty melee back. I always keep my distance but if they trap me then I throw a grenade at my feet to kill us both

One tip I would say is that flanking is really good. In almost every match both teams sort of pick an area and just fight and respawn and fight over and over. They don't look behind them either. So if you get behind them with say Assault, Vanguard, or Sniper you can wreck face. I use sniper with the full auto smg rather than a sniper rifle 😂. Some classes straight up counter another so being alone is just a death sentence if you encounter somebody who counters you. Also remember right hand peak always!!! a left hand angle will get you killed :)
Practice marking enemies and possible points of interest where an enemy might be at. I find it very helpful when I’m playing. Learn where grenade pickups are at on the map and use that to your advantage. I throw a grenade where needed then head back to pick up a second one right away. I’ve gotten a lot of kills like this so far.
hehe thanks pooplove i played three matches last night & realized a lot of this stuff quickly. I love playing Sniper! Tactical Marine is very just straight up pew pew nice too.
Use the smg with the sniper class and frag grenades, usually the two heavies on the enemy team are stacked up and immobile, so being invisible and throwing a grenade from behind them and unloading does the trick. Especially when your team is with you and everyone is distracted
Good tips, but you missed some stuff. 1. Memorise the maps and the equipment box locations as fast as possible, grenades are incredibly powerful. Example if as Vanguard you simply grapple into a Heavy and try to kill them with ranged (or even worse melee) they can just hold down left click and kill you easily. If however you shock nade them first then grapple and mag dump them you win that fight every time because the shock nade means they cannot turn fast enough to keep their aim on you! 2. Positioning is absolutely key (especially for Seize Ground), you should be rotating as much as possible and when you do choose to fight be either on a point or close to it so you are exerting more pressure. Taking a few more seconds to flank the enemy rather than running straight at them can make a huge difference. 3. As Assault and Vanguard make use of the fact you can navigate the map way faster than other classes and get to spots they cannot, this allows you to do things like shoot down on people that are not expecting fire to be coming from that location. 4. As you stressed tis a team game and whilst moronically you cannot q as a full team of 6, you can at least q with 2 friends which makes a huge difference. If you don't have many friends that play then just pay attention to who plays well in your games and then send them friend requests. 5. For the middle B points especially on the Cathedral level Bulwark is OP as hell as the shield makes you almost invincible and anyone that wants to get on that point has to get into very close quarters with you.
#1 tip is stun grenades OP. They slow enemies, blind them on the initial hit and make it so they can't aim. #2 if your armor breaks roll like your life depends on it away from the enemy
Love the PvP in this game. The core gameplay is simple but well done - It reminds me of the simple but enthralling gameplay of the first Hall game. Sure there needs some balancing tweaks, but overall it's great.
Find a battle-brother. By this I mean never be alone, as mentioned in the video. You can tag all sorts of things with T (not sure what it is on controller), including your teammates. Find a brother, tag him and follow. If they're a good sport, they'll understand your meaning and BOOM - you've just increased your lethality and survivability significantly.
Here’s a tip for heavy mains. If there is a second heavy on the team. Stick with him! You will melt almost everyone. When his shield goes down, throw your shield up. I do this with randoms all the time and we can kill up to 3-4 dudes if we play it right. Focus fire on single target. Shield him and pay attention when he uses his shield so you can get free benefits of that shield without wasting yours. Me and rando heavy’s place too if leaderboard all the time bc I just follow him from objective to objective slaying the enemy!
Great tips! Another tip, as a gears vet, ill definitely add that, you need to understand the effectiveness and range of your weapons and what theyre built for. As obvious as this is, i see a lot of people not playing to their class or weapon strength. Ill be putting out my own video soon.
This game is so much more tactical than people understand. I think that's the reason I'm so happy with it because i play a lot of tactical first person shooters and the knowledge translates over so seamlessly. People who like Cod are going to struggle with the concept of "team work"
I have found this game to be extremely easily aslong as you are mindful of the team, take full advantage of how your team plays, don’t trickle into sites if you’re in capture which I personally play the most, take your time to learn how classes play best, use stealth, don’t forget that you have abilities and grenades, and always remember at any point you can or you can be flanked, as a tactical main use your scanner as much as possible, to scan if enemies are in a corner, to increase damage, and remember melee is extremely powerful, you can rush in and kill people then roll away if you pull it off in the right situation
3:15 Bulwark is also great to provide cover, it always feels awesome when I get to take the bullets of the enemy team then my teammate kill them even if I take the heat off for a second.
Tactical tips: learn to juggle all the features you as a player have access to, and treat yourself as a SUPPORT class Ping as often as possible when an enemy is in LOS to highlight them - this is valuable info for teammates plus it saves you from using your ability Memorize grenade spawns since you can make the most of these, especially shock grenades which slow and damage with AOE - and can blind, giving you the upper hand Listen for footsteps and if you hear multiple sets of footsteps, consider using your scan to highlight those enemies Remember your scan makes enemies weaker to damage - so monitor the movement pattern of your enemies and place a scan on routes they mostly take Flank enemy favoured objectives even if middle or the friendly favoured objective are being contested - just putting pressure back over enemy side can alleviate pressure and score points If you go solo, use your scan and (shock) grenades to heighten advantage and retreat if Heavy deploys his shield or when confronted by Bulwarks generally speaking Remember, since shock grenades and scan ability both linger, and have lingering effects, you can deploy these ahead of an encounter rather than during a gunfight
Great tips, I’m trying for headshots but the Las Fusil is difficult to control accurately lol, if you try hip firing it it goes all over the place, unlike the more precise bolt sniper, and the zoom in/charge to fire is more difficult to time. The one-shot headshot is often worth it though
There is parry but it doesn’t work very well. Supposed to block light melee but when I have tried I do really bad. The bulwark though seems to be very strong when parrying taking very little damage to guns
You can parry but most heavy melee fighters are going to be assault which have thunder hammer (feels like you cant parry but idk) Definitely worth it in melee skirmishes to win a close fight. Successful parry results in the knockback stun that happens when you parry warriors in PvE
I never knew you could shoot in mid air with assault or that you could strafe in air. Bolt pistol is more reliable i feel than melee. Even if i land a heavy and then combo into light attacks enemy could be right in front of me and the hits don’t register or stagger w (Heavy hit). If i do land on an enemy the damage I feel is off sometimes it knocks armor and a bit of health or leaves them staggered w no armor or health. (This is with me landing on enemies head). The vanguard w grapple will kill me 100% of the time Theres not enough time to strafe backward and from what I Understand is that grapple is an instant stun Once the enemy locks on. Not sure if theres a way to dodge it or counter it would be cool to know if there was. Any advice from fellow assault players would be nice. Other than that PVP is pretty fun take it slow flank and work w teammates.
i think you missed the most important tactic: outflanks/strike from rear when its fit. really easy to kill an entire team that is caught in a killbox with a few rounds and nades from behind. played heavy outflanked and waited for enemy team to swamp up holding one position. i cane and removed from existance 4 players in one burst multiple times. sometimes niether of teams can push so you just gotta strike from the sides
Solution to get good at melee. Play space marine 1 assault without perks. You will learn faster that way. Other than that just transfer anything you learned in space marine 1 to space marine 2 weapons transfer pretty similarly just remember you're squishier in space marine 2.
Play like your chapter, I play like a Night Lord when i play assault. Dash in, kill, dash away, repeat. You aren't a tank, its okay to retreat and strike when they do not expect you, and most of all. Make them fear the sky
I might try this mode but I'm not sure. I've only played Overwatch and Concord and such so a game that's NORMALLY PVE and has a mix of ranged and melee combat seems weird to me and I'm not sure how it will actually be like which is why I'm looking at videos to see what the PVP is like😅
I'm waiting for someone to give me the golden piece of advise on how to not go 0-15. Try to win a gun fight, can't deal damage and I go down in 1/4 of a second. Try to get into melee, get sniped out of the air. Try to slowly poke my head around a corner, gunned down. Try to avoid feeding and just sit at spawn point, sniped.
You dont play with the team, and i can tell that because you said you got 0 kills. You’d at least be able to snag a kill off somebody. Just stick with the team, its why you get killed instantly, 3 people are shooting at you
@@KokNokereven my first game I didn’t go 0-15. Rushing around and just pressing shoot not only gets you killed but it hurts the rest of the team in whatever objective you’re supposed to be doing.
Thanks for this! I wasn't sure how a PVE game would work as PVP but now I'm excited! And I'll just focus on having fun and not a "meta" or anything stupid like that😂
Yeah but so many people get caught in a trap of just melee spamming. If you spam roll away from a melee guy they won't ever catch you. So even if their shield is up if they have health dmg when their shield gets popped they are close to dead.
I just started winning matches by flanking the enemy team with another player. Once you start doing that the enemy team will most likely start splitting up to make it easier to get the kills
One dude was cussing me out because I literally joined the game midway in the match and choose heavy. Make long story short, I was being outgunned by 4 folks on the opposite team and dude kept yelling for me to pushed up lmao. Bro really needed to take a chill pill because he was taken the match waayyyyy too serious lol.
Na Tactical is overall the best class for starter have more damage and can shoot from all ranges , check how fast the enemy shild last while shooting at it if you play aggressively. I play all clases and my average per game almost everygame is 10 to 15 kills , like 5 death most of the time by camping with teammates
Realize that you're not up against hordes of tyranids, or chaos slaves. These are ACTUAL people, and therefore are smarter, faster, and far trickier than anything you'll find in the other modes.
I don't like playing a PvP mode where I can snipe a Tactical in the head repeatedly only for them to have the time to - Realize it - Turn around - Figure out where I am while I'm still shooting him, even if the follow up shots are body shots - Use their special -Kill me with a quick burst of fire TTK is inconsistent. Not sure why and I don't care what the excuse is; Hacks, lag, game mechanics. It's just not fun regardless.
Decision to give huge amounts of early access to players who paid for it means that half the playerbase is already levels above the rest of us in terms of experience and gear. Add in the fucking awful matchmaking, that seems to DELIBERATELY group low level players on the same team, and it's just washout after washout. Really disappointed in the multiplayer so far.
It’s also less that but the locked weapons r leagues ahead the thunder hammer is usable the chainsword is useless the burst carbine is broke ly powerful etc n i feel there’s real server lag and desync
I paid for early access but I haven't done any PVP yet so it's not exactly thst early access has any benefits. Like with any game you got to just play when you can and get experience and others will always be ahead but you win some and lose some. That's why I'm looking at videos, to prepare myself and learn a bit.
Well it’s rlly unbalanced so most get early upgrades v everyone else Secondly idk what it is but ppl seem to permanently be able to combat roll rather than do the evade then combat roll, and are way more responsive than my guy. I’ve actually died before someone’s hit me with the hammer I supposedly died to the server lag is unplayable for me personally. I also have 0 aim assist whereas everyone else has a ton any ideas why all this is?
been mostly frustrated or bored with pvp. Skill expression and skill ceiling are pretty low overall and abysmal for certain classes. Low strafe speed, no stance changing or shoulder swapping(heavy can't lift his gun above his waist...) mean there are a lot of situations where skill isn't going to make significant impact. There are plenty of other games where you need the same level or greater of game sense, positioning, teamwork, etc but things like aim, movement, mechanics and meaningful kit customization are rewarded. Parry seems to be broken(I play all soulsborne and look to parry more than dodge) and the low movement speed and weapon hitboxes/desync aren't in a state where it seems anywhere near what I would expect for pvp.
Yeah the shoulder swap really bugs me a bit and it does feel like some classes need some love but perhaps grinding and getting all the gun unlocks will open things up
perhaps, but theres no gun customization, no ability customization, no perks. Regarding weapon categories(primary, pistol, melee) 5 of them have no other weapons in that slot. Theres 3 maps and 3 modes, is that going to be a fun grind? Based on pve experience theres plenty of balance issue and some weapons are just invalidated by the existence of others.
@@enoreed1439 plenty of my concerns can't be fixed and the content is very low for pvp game mode in the past 20 years. More guns, maps and modes are coming and they can patch up balance but even if they go above what has been promised its going to be low. One bullshit mechanic is if I parry an enemy they can still melee quicker than you and theres no stagger. And yes, you can infinite parry a melee class till they walk away 😂
I swear it looks like we're playing two totally different games. No matter how slow and deliberate I am, 3 people are shooting me before I can even see them. And even in the cases where I'm in a fight with someone who I've shot first and am continuously "hitting," the game will register that they've gotten the kill first. Been waiting for you to make a video on this ! Lol sniping reminds me so much of last of us MP lol ! Can’t wait for more future content
Sniping is one of the most fun with this!
I love that I do all these things yet I keep going 1 and 15
I got 38 straight losses though. Have only 1 one match since release

Love the PvP in this game. The core gameplay is simple but well done - It reminds me of the simple but enthralling gameplay of the first Hall game.
Sure there needs some balancing tweaks, but overall it's great.
With the assault you can peek over high walls, kinda fun
You can indeed parry in PvP but from my experience, it’s only reliable when you’re about to die but then a team mate comes to the rescue.
Good stuff man im looking forward to more pvp content
Thanks!
It's the up button on controller just for anyone who finds this later.
Been playing all night no problem
People who like Cod are going to struggle with the concept of "team work"
I have found this game to be extremely easily aslong as you are mindful of the team, take full advantage of how your team plays, don’t trickle into sites if you’re in capture which I personally play the most, take your time to learn how classes play best, use stealth, don’t forget that you have abilities and grenades, and always remember at any point you can or you can be flanked, as a tactical main use your scanner as much as possible, to scan if enemies are in a corner, to increase damage, and remember melee is extremely powerful, you can rush in and kill people then roll away if you pull it off in the right situation
parry works in pvp?
Can you parry in pvp?
3:15 Bulwark is also great to provide cover, it always feels awesome when I get to take the bullets of the enemy team then my teammate kill them even if I take the heat off for a second.
Tactical tips: learn to juggle all the features you as a player have access to, and treat yourself as a SUPPORT class
Ping as often as possible when an enemy is in LOS to highlight them - this is valuable info for teammates plus it saves you from using your ability
Memorize grenade spawns since you can make the most of these, especially shock grenades which slow and damage with AOE - and can blind, giving you the upper hand
Listen for footsteps and if you hear multiple sets of footsteps, consider using your scan to highlight those enemies
Remember your scan makes enemies weaker to damage - so monitor the movement pattern of your enemies and place a scan on routes they mostly take
Flank enemy favoured objectives even if middle or the friendly favoured objective are being contested - just putting pressure back over enemy side can alleviate pressure and score points
If you go solo, use your scan and (shock) grenades to heighten advantage and retreat if Heavy deploys his shield or when confronted by Bulwarks generally speaking
Remember, since shock grenades and scan ability both linger, and have lingering effects, you can deploy these ahead of an encounter rather than during a gunfight
Also turn off crossplay because pc gamers are playing this above 60fps and have the advantage
Great tips, I’m trying for headshots but the Las Fusil is difficult to control accurately lol, if you try hip firing it it goes all over the place, unlike the more precise bolt sniper, and the zoom in/charge to fire is more difficult to time. The one-shot headshot is often worth it though

Yes, turn off crossplay because pc gamers are playing this above 60fps and have the advantage
Can you make a Space marine 2 weapon tier list
Any tips for Melee?
Im trying to determine if parrying/blocking has a place in PVP. It seems like many attacks are unblockable.
I cannot find a video from anyone speaking about this. I thinks there's no parry on pvp, the only option is to dodge
There is parry but it doesn’t work very well. Supposed to block light melee but when I have tried I do really bad. The bulwark though seems to be very strong when parrying taking very little damage to guns
Avoid entirely unless u get the thunder hammer for assault. It’s broken n bad n unbalanced and it’s rlly poor playtesting imo
You can parry but most heavy melee fighters are going to be assault which have thunder hammer (feels like you cant parry but idk)
Definitely worth it in melee skirmishes to win a close fight. Successful parry results in the knockback stun that happens when you parry warriors in PvE
My ass tried to flank the enemies but ended up with the entire team on me, didn't even get to drop the grenade
Do levels matter, or does everyone have the same loadouts regardless of level?
Levels matter in that you can unlock weapons for your class and customize your loadout
They really gotta make parries do something in PVP.
Very very good video!
Thanks!

Assault fly guy is the best way to kill a bulwark.. it’s like the only good counter to insta kill one.. just a tip
i think you missed the most important tactic: outflanks/strike from rear when its fit. really easy to kill an entire team that is caught in a killbox with a few rounds and nades from behind. played heavy outflanked and waited for enemy team to swamp up holding one position. i cane and removed from existance 4 players in one burst multiple times. sometimes niether of teams can push so you just gotta strike from the sides
watching this I always have the urge to grapple to cover like in gears.
Anyone know if theres a way to turn off the voice overs in pvp? Its crazy irritating hearing these lines every 2 seconds in the KotH modes
Do you play with controller or mouse keyboard?
Solution to get good at melee. Play space marine 1 assault without perks. You will learn faster that way. Other than that just transfer anything you learned in space marine 1 to space marine 2 weapons transfer pretty similarly just remember you're squishier in space marine 2.
Me: runs in close as i can smashing the melee and execution buttons screaming "For the Pancake!"
Me in the corner with my vanguard: “Ha, grapple hook go brrr”
Play like your chapter, I play like a Night Lord when i play assault. Dash in, kill, dash away, repeat. You aren't a tank, its okay to retreat and strike when they do not expect you, and most of all. Make them fear the sky
I might try this mode but I'm not sure. I've only played Overwatch and Concord and such so a game that's NORMALLY PVE and has a mix of ranged and melee combat seems weird to me and I'm not sure how it will actually be like which is why I'm looking at videos to see what the PVP is like😅
It's fun and I'm not gamer

I'm waiting for someone to give me the golden piece of advise on how to not go 0-15.
Try to win a gun fight, can't deal damage and I go down in 1/4 of a second.
Try to get into melee, get sniped out of the air.
Try to slowly poke my head around a corner, gunned down.
Try to avoid feeding and just sit at spawn point, sniped.
You dont play with the team, and i can tell that because you said you got 0 kills. You’d at least be able to snag a kill off somebody. Just stick with the team, its why you get killed instantly, 3 people are shooting at you
@@dakromis I follow people to serve as meat shields, still getting obliterated.
@@KokNokereven my first game I didn’t go 0-15. Rushing around and just pressing shoot not only gets you killed but it hurts the rest of the team in whatever objective you’re supposed to be doing.

Melee does health damage, guns do shield. Switching to guns after melee could be a bad move if they have shields up and you can melee them
Yeah but so many people get caught in a trap of just melee spamming. If you spam roll away from a melee guy they won't ever catch you. So even if their shield is up if they have health dmg when their shield gets popped they are close to dead.
I just started winning matches by flanking the enemy team with another player. Once you start doing that the enemy team will most likely start splitting up to make it easier to get the kills
basicly the same tips used for space marine 1 im so glad the pvp is basically the same
One dude was cussing me out because I literally joined the game midway in the match and choose heavy. Make long story short, I was being outgunned by 4 folks on the opposite team and dude kept yelling for me to pushed up lmao. Bro really needed to take a chill pill because he was taken the match waayyyyy too serious lol.
One dude kept yelling "FOR THE EMPEROR" every 5 minutes and it was annoying
Na Tactical is overall the best class for starter have more damage and can shoot from all ranges , check how fast the enemy shild last while shooting at it if you play aggressively.
I play all clases and my average per game almost everygame is 10 to 15 kills , like 5 death most of the time by camping with teammates
I know the krak grenade is the bane for heavis with their shield out i just know they mad when i break that shield then stun the then kill them 😂
Realize that you're not up against hordes of tyranids, or chaos slaves. These are ACTUAL people, and therefore are smarter, faster, and far trickier than anything you'll find in the other modes.
Yes actual people and pc gamers are playing this above 60fps and have the advantage so i recommend turning off crossplay
I don't like playing a PvP mode where I can snipe a Tactical in the head repeatedly only for them to have the time to
- Realize it
- Turn around
- Figure out where I am while I'm still shooting him, even if the follow up shots are body shots
- Use their special
-Kill me with a quick burst of fire
TTK is inconsistent. Not sure why and I don't care what the excuse is; Hacks, lag, game mechanics. It's just not fun regardless.
I was legit playing like doom eternal, I was rushing and trying to one man the enemy. Needless to say, got humbled
I disagree with aiming for the head. Aim for center mass and you’re more likely to hit your shots. Recoil will help you with a few headshots.
I enjoy it but my ping sucks.
I can’t wait til the heavy gets nerfed
No tips for heavy? 🤔
Nades seem strong
time stamps are needed
Is it possible to parry in PVP? I feel like I've tried, but it doesn't seem to do anything other then get me killed
You can but it’s pretty unreliable and seems to be mostly light melee blocks. Every time I try I lose though the melee fight
Ayy big dawg, love the vid...but the channel name...
Well it’s rlly unbalanced so most get early upgrades v everyone else
Secondly idk what it is but ppl seem to permanently be able to combat roll rather than do the evade then combat roll, and are way more responsive than my guy. I’ve actually died before someone’s hit me with the hammer I supposedly died to the server lag is unplayable for me personally.
I also have 0 aim assist whereas everyone else has a ton any ideas why all this is?
I am level 22 and I am soo bad at this game. First time pvp for me.
I’d just like to be put in a team that actually plays as a team
been mostly frustrated or bored with pvp.
@@imanevilpairofsocksbro the game literally jus dropped 😂😂😂
@@enoreed1439 plenty of my concerns can't be fixed and the content is very low for pvp game mode in the past 20 years. One bullshit mechanic is if I parry an enemy they can still melee quicker than you and theres no stagger. And yes, you can infinite parry a melee class till they walk away 😂
It’s to damn sweaty to be any fun
I swear it looks like we're playing two totally different games.
No matter how slow and deliberate I am, 3 people are shooting me before I can even see them.
