@United States Tennis Association (USTA) Many Thanks for this beautiful upload. One of classic US open matches in 90's. After prevail in 5-set, Agassi said going through this match means everything to him, and he started feeling that he could win the tournament, which he eventually did. I reckon this is the Marque match of 94 us open, and it happened on Labour Day. Both players laboured a lot on court to produce thrilling encounter. Credits to these 2 great players.
Have not seen anyone hit as crisp, clean and efficient as Agassi. I know , today is a different game and all that.. but the way Agassi hits is remarkable , and worth showing to any young player willing to learn
This match features two things you’ll never see in a present day pro match. 1) Two top 10 players who are not 6 foot or taller. Agassi at 5’10. Chang at 5’8. 2) Two top ten players using true Oversized rackets. Agassi is using a Head Radical Oversize. Chang is using a Prince Graphite Oversize.
I played Chang in a junior tournament around 1986 I think. I was quite a bit older and he destroyed me 1 and 1. Change won the tournament and killed everyone in the juniors that year. He was incredible. The guy never missed a ball.
It's cool you got to play Chang. You can't be too bad yourself if you were playing with top juniors at tournaments. I am a weekend hack but love watching the pros on TV. They make it look so easy! 😀🎾
Chang was great until the 5th set. Then Agassi started running him around and he simply ran out of energy. I remember the point that it happened. After that he was exhausted and didn't have any fight left in him. You can see it all over him. A good match.
Michael “chimpy” Chang was my nickname for him when I played tennis as a youth. Our discussions of talking about ATP pros would arise, I’d refer to him as “Chimpy Chang”. Because he’s like a chimpanzee running around the court, full of robust energy
I didn't remember him being so bad at serving, but he doesn't get a first serve in until his 7th try. Andre's eating his lunch in this match, broke him at love twice early on.
Yeah! Thanks for this one! The more Agassi, the merrier!

Astonishing. So many great All American matches in the 1990s
astonishing why? why are people amazed by things from the past as if they were at smoe disadvantage or something?
Thank you very much for the upload

Sampras hits much better than the fraud Agassi
Fully agree , and - just imagine how all of today's modern players , would go using equipment ( racquets & strings ) from the mid 90 s -
Amazing match.Well done Andre ❣️
If agassi was a great net player he wouldve been unbeatable
Agassi was style icon in the tennis world in the 1990s
Andre is the Best ❤
More Agassi please
Great American tennis in the 90s
Would someone mind explaining why there is no commentators? Is this how tennis used to be? I love it!

Not to quibble, but Agassi was a legit 5'11"
Great match, played at ultra high velocity
Incredible to see and hear the game without self serving, irrelevant and blathering announcers.

i was there! Sold Farrens merchandise!
I remember a media conference and Agassi said about Chang, "He's basically just a pain in the ass."
Agassi crowd favorite all time
2:09:18 around the net shot from Agassi
@19:42 man that fan had no shame 🥶
This match was lasted 5 set cause Chang was a great fighter but Agassi Always been on another level...

Gilbert referred to Chang as a retriever. He could get to anything and eventually he would just retrieve you to death.
After the match Agassi ripped the tournament for playing music during changeovers
Matches between 2 guys with oversized head frames don’t exist anymore.
How peculiar both representing USA, whose surname both are coming from ASIA, one in Middle East and the other one is from China
Agassi vs Becker 1995 semi final. Why does any match you upload have to be between 2 Americans why not just 1.
I wonder who won. I hope its competitive. Not some one tiebreaker and three boring sets like that other match.

Man, Chang had the worst serve ever
enough to get him to no 2 in the world...
Too short

@@phillip4279 Agassi did pretty much the same thing to Stich three rounds later, so maybe cut him a break.
As good as this is, we need to hear some expert commentary to go with it.
Better without
