One of my all time favourite models, This is what made me fall in love with 4x4. The Gen 2. I am visiting Pakistan atm from UK and have decided to not buy a civic but buying a Gen2 1997 Exceed instead 2800 turbo intercooler.

All are reliable
2.8 is the best engine. 2.5 ptone to head gaskit failure, furthermore 2.8 is better on fuel economy.

Omer sb, I have 96 model in almost show room condition. But the vehicle steering play troubles me when making high speed cuts (at 100 Km/h). I exactly can not understand what is normal steering play and what is abnormal steering play. Mind it, I have recently switched from sedan to SUV.

Are you high? Pajero never had play in wheel, don't misguide your audience. It was revolutionary at its times for independent front suspension and excellent suspension. I have driven one and it's has far better average and handling than Prado of its age.
