Love this thing, it's like having Brian Eno in a box. I pre-ordered mine in January and am still waiting. Your vids make that waiting a little more bearable. Thanks!
Fantastic instructions as always. Love my Wavestate as well. I also have an original Wavestation SR and a Wavestation EX. Korg makes the best synths for ambient drones and textures including space music. Your music was delightful here, thank you
Another great video with beautiful sounds too. I hope I can be patient enough with myself to start to use this synth in this way. It's so lovely. And one of the reasons that so many other synths don't do it for me is that they don't have the cross fade they just change sounds and you hear it go right to that sound and that just ruins a performance. This has that smooth switching. (I know there is a name for it but I can't remember ).
Very good tutorial.... I am thinking of buying the Wavestate.... It seems an incredible synth... Can I ask you...if it's got Oriental musical instruments samples? I saw you use the sitar ... Could you tell me what other samples it has of oriental musical instruments? Or tell me where I can find that info... I believe it's got hundreds of samples...but I don't know what they are...? Thank you...
Thousands samples I believe. Yes it does have the type you ask of. I unfortunately am in between studio moving by end of new year. I plan to make more of these. But I recommend to look at their manual or try to find someone playing the presets. If I had access I would be able to answer better, sorry!
Thanks for the encouragement I’ll play with it a little longer I enjoy your videos they help me a lot I also just bought mini log there again confusing but now I got my Roland fantom
Yes sir I will thank you. I’m working on this wave state try and find category I can’t pull it up for some reason I’m doing something wrong I watched your video on it over and over but I’m sure it’s me . Thank you man
Crackleford I waiting three months on mine . Now I don’t know if it was worth it. It’s very confusing not friendly. These videos have a little but I guess it’s me can’t keep it in my head LOL good luck to you.
Man how did you learn it? I know it’s my problem but I just can’t keep in my head LOL. I just got one and it is very confusing to me. I guess I’ll have to sell it. By the time I figured this out I’m out of the mode of playing. LOL
@@RonCavagnaro i think partially due to being brand new and not already having a familiarity with the editing and functionality of this synth yet. Just from the beginning i lose myself in the different steps…. But i need to say i appreciate your work. When the Wavestate first released and i watched this video i knew that somewhere down the road i wanted to own one! So i hope i think it need to study up in editing it first and then ill come back to this video with a much clearer understanding.
@@torreypines7513 did you skip to this video? Try part 1 first, you can see the steps slower , it's pretty much the same steps. I thought it would be ridiculous to restate the steps from the first episode. Thanks!
What??? Did you see episode 2? th-cam.com/video/S69_qe-pNBU/w-d-xo.html
