    Oddly enough, I met Lloyd Kaufman on a plane ride from Belgium to the US. I recognized him walking back to the bathroom so naturally I followed him. I actually brought up the nerve to talk to him and he was extremely cool! He even gave me one of his business cards!

    I remember renting this movie , back in 1986 uncut version, for myself and then my grandparents and parents decided to watch this movie. I warned them in advance but they did not seem to have any problem watching the movie they in fact enjoyed it and watched the entire movie. I miss the 80s for this reason. Go Toxie.

    Some years back for Earth Day weekend, the El Rey network played all the Toxic Avengers movies back-to-back-to-back...etc. In the early hours of the morning they even played the cartoon series for an hour or two. That was one hell of a nostalgic flashback to my childhood.

    Stumbled on this movie airing on TV when I was 7 years old, right at the point when they hit (and subsequently backed over) the kid on the bike. Ingrained in my mind forever.

  • @MarsupialGamer
    @MarsupialGamer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Odd thing - I saw this as a kid, I believe when I was about 10, which would have been about 3 years after it came out. I'm sure I must have seen it on cable and I'm absolutely positive they showed the head-squishing scene because that's really the only part I remember! So at some point this must have been okay to show on cable and then the censors got to it later. By the way, I wasn't traumatized at all - I was already desensitized to the silly gore by the uncensored Bugs Bunny cartoons I grew up on, before they started editing out all the gunshots, punches, etc.

    The car/bike scene always made me feel uneasy. Classic movie, but you won't feel good about yourself when you watch it.

    I honestly wish we had more directors like Lloyd. He is without a doubt one of the coolest guys around. It's like if John carpenter was a B-movie director.
    In fact, I need more movies like these. Over the top 80's movies in the current age. Kung Fury was something that got it right.

    Never knew anything about this show and saw the cartoon once and was disappointed, but I got an action figure at a second-hand store of Toxi and it was my favourite action figure.

    There's a young Marisa Tomei in the director's cut version of this.
