      Mint mobile always worked good for me when I needed an extra few gigs of hotspot from my phone. We tried streaming on a buddies Verizon phone hotspot one time and it was useless, even with 3 bars signal.

    Hey Man I also play on Hotspot but on my phone Hotspot 📱.
    I'm trying to get my hands on the No Contact Hotspot and just have to buy Hotspot Cards.
    Where do I go to get one ??
    How much Ping and Packet Loss Do you get ??
    And can I stream on what you have ??

    • @Chris.activity
      @Chris.activity  ปีที่แล้ว

      I got this one at Target, but that was a while ago I'm not sure if they still sell them there. The ping will really depend on network congestion as with any cellular based network but usually was around 60-80. Are you talking about streaming your gameplay? I just don't think hotspot upload speeds would be good enough for that.

      @@Chris.activity Ok. I have seen a Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 4GLTE hotspot that may get up to over 100 mbps downlad speed and maybe 19 mbps upload speed. It cost more though $100+ to $200+, but it may have unlimited data card. Not sure Netgear hospot would work in my area though. I just want a prepaid hotspot device with prepaid data card, without getting into a contract plan. In time better prepaid hotspot devices with better data cards will come along.

    • @Chris.activity
      @Chris.activity  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would be nice if there were more prepaid hotspots out there with good data allotments. In the 2 years since I made this video it unfortunately seems like there really aren't new options. T mobile has decent in home 5G internet, but its not prepaid. their prepaid data plan looks like $50 for 50gb.@@Slim1423

    • @Slim1423
      @Slim1423 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Chris.activity Yeah. I have a Straighttalk phone, and with a $55 plan i get 15gb of free hotspot data on my phone each 30 days. There is a Straighttalk prepaid hotspot device with $25 for 10gb of prepaid data or 100gb data for $50. Haven't tried prepaid hotspot though. What may happen in the future, since hospot devices don't seem to sell a lot, is that Straighttalk and other companies may increase the hotspot data on the prepaid cell phones, to save on cost of building separate hotspot devices. You would probably have to increase hotspot data separately with hotspot data card, if needed. Hotspot data on my phone works good, but the data runs out fast, if connected with Onn 4k streaming box from Walmart.

    • @rachelrodgers9171
      @rachelrodgers9171 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your hotspot is displaying an “Invalid SIM” message, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
      Check the SIM Installation:
      Ensure that the SIM card is correctly inserted into the hotspot. Sometimes, improper seating of the SIM can cause connectivity problems.
      Turn off your hotspot before removing and reinserting the SIM card. Make sure it’s snugly in place.
      Inspect the SIM Card:
      Examine the SIM card for any visible damage or signs of wear. If it appears damaged, you may need to replace it.
      If you have a spare SIM card (or can obtain one), try inserting it into the hotspot to see if the issue persists.
      Update APN Settings:
      When you insert a new SIM card, the hotspot usually updates its APN (Access Point Name) settings automatically. However, if there was an error during the process, manual configuration might be necessary.
      Check your hotspot’s user manual or visit the manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to configure APN settings manually.
      Contact Your ISP (Carrier):
      If the problem persists, reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or carrier. They can verify if the SIM card is properly provisioned and whether there are any known issues.
      They may also provide a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to unlock the SIM card if needed.
      Factory Reset (as a last resort):
      Some users have reported success after performing a factory reset on their hotspot. However, be aware that this will erase any customized settings.
      Follow your hotspot’s instructions to perform a factory reset.
      Remember that the SIM card is essential for connecting to the network, so ensuring it’s functioning correctly is crucial. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider contacting your ISP or visiting a store to get further assistance. 📶

In this video I am in rural Oregon, getting an average of 1-2 bars, 3 Max, with only 4g no 5g, but That hasn't really stopped me from being able to play any game in particular. In fact sometimes I run gamebar with xbox party chat as well. Being in a rural area might actually help me, even though I have fewer bars there are less people congesting the network, where as in a place like Atlanta I can only imagine how many people are trying to use that Tmobile bandwith at the same time as you.
