She was married to probably the most achieved Iranian violin player of all time - Parviz Yahaghi - whose solo violin ended this song.

Yes it is the 80s, after the revolution.
Homeyra is trained in classic Persian music (her master was Ali Tajvidi, a legend) who started singing pop songs like this, but her classic work is on another level.
Maestro Tajvidi categorises her voice as alto with sorano capacity.
Understanding Farsi might add to your pleasure of listening, but this song is not particularly great poetry. You are not missing that much in this case.
She says "listen (goosh bede), because I'm still a lover".
It's too funny. The "finale" is just a piece of instrumental music they added at the end of the cassette to fill it up, because the songs did not add up to 60 or 90 minutes space. Apparently, it was added to the digital version as well :))

The translation of the song’s name: ‘listen to my voice because i’m in love’. Besides her amazing voice, the song is composed by the legend Mr. Sadegh Nojouki who composed many beautiful songs and melodies for Iranian talented singers that’s why you felt kind of familiarity with some notes. It’s his style and signature.

To all my folks who want to learn Persian: It's not what you think. It's easy for the reasons I describe below.
Especially those who know English/French already:
I know Persian as my second language and it's the easiest out of English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Polish, German and French, the languages I tried to them.
Unfortunately, I don't know a course that I can recommend to you but the language itself is easy enough to be taught in a couple of weeks.
The Abjad script is a bit hard to process (Arabic script), which is also simple (unlike Far Eastern scripts), just different from what most people are used to (comparing to Cyrillic or Latin).
I HIGHLY recommend you learn it and believe me it is not as inaccessible as you think it's still a (very deep in the hierarchy) Indo-European language and there are little "original" words in it for historical reasons. All languages borrowed from Farsi and Farsi borrowed A LOT from others as well so vocabulary is like 10% original (you didn't hear probably/not borrowed), 10% Slavic, 30% Arabic and Spanish (since Spanish has a lot of loanwords from Arabic), 25% English and 25% French.
If you are not easily scared, watch LangFocus' video on the Persian language, it makes it look scarier than it is but still.
I suggest you don't learn Farsi from Arabic classes because Arabic has nothing to do with any language you already know (probably) it's a Semitic language (group) and it's fairly hard. Also, the script is used a bit differently and Persian doesn't use the full potential and hardcore stuff from it. So it just makes your head ache.
I brought you all this way down here to share a little secret: These songs are the least you can unlock with Persian. As an ancient language Persian has A LOT of unique features, libraries of not-translated books and unique ideas that cannot be represented with other tools and languages. I don't bother with naming them here since you probably don't know them but Farsi hosts historical, artistic, poetic materials in it that no one can claim is in ANY other language.
If you are a nerdy person then lemme finish by this. It's basically The Lisp of natural languages. Old, kinda weird but boy we all know Lisp is the easiest and the coolest language ever out there with 0 restrictions with its simple grammar and syntax.
If you have a question or need more info let me know.
P.S: If you plan to learn Farsi document your resources and share on your channel so other enthusiasts can learn alongside you. Our language desperately needs it.
