My programming instructor in school was a producer on this series (and a bunch of other games you've covered) and he told me a handful of very silly stories about what it was like working with the musicians during this game's development. Seems like it was a blast
A little fun fact about this game this was almost supposed to be a sequel to the 1st WCW mayhem game but WWE bought WCW and the plans for WCW mayhem 2 were scrapped
Bro this two games was the shit back than I remember back in 2003 me and my brothers was at auntie House on weekend and one day that game was on the TV we had the GameCube at the time and we all look at the game we all look like wow what the my aunt was like yeah I know I get for you guys and the next week on Saturday we was so happy to play this game we got on PS2 and part 2 we got and beat the game love both of them good times good times.
well, after being at your livestream,i did talk about how your normal voice sounds nothing like your youtuber voice so maybe that's why some people think you're an ai.you gave a pretty good explanation why your voice sounds so different when you make videos too
Awesome video! I spent a lot of hours on FFNY as well, lol. Im surprised you didn't mention the PSP port of FFNY while I myself didn't play it but I heard it had additional content and small improvements, unless they weren't substantial enough to include in a video. As someone who grew up on Fight Nights, Def Jams, and WWE games, these videos are appreciated and a blast of nostalgia, so thank you. 🙏
@@RedBerylFTW I don't know which one you'll prefer. One was made by a passionate and talented yet screwed team of developers, and the other was made by an unviable studio who hired inexperienced people to make it.
@@RedBerylFTWas a major Simpsons and skateboarding fan when I was a kid, I needed to have that game. Boy was I disappointed lol. I’d love to hear your analysis on it and what you can find about the game’s development. I think of an alternative timeline where that game got the true justice it deserved.
Pretty crazy how you can hear the AI voice in this video take a breath often some words, aswell as the inflections. Kind of want to hear it say the word "tits".
I also played Fight for NY first and got the Vendetta a few years after it and didn't put too much time into it. I feel like everyone who owned Fight for NY universally loved it and it's obvious to see why. Honestly, if a sequel was ever made more akin to brawlers like Streets of Rage, but in 3D where the goal is to get to the end of the level beating up mooks and finally fighting a boss AI, I'd be down 100%. Which is weird because the actual sequel Icon had the opposite effect, where everyone who owned it universally hated it. It's been over a decade since I played Icon and while a rhythm based brawler sound unique and fits Def Jam more than wrestling, I honestly forget why we all disliked it. Looking forward to that review where you hopefully find the answer lad!
Never played these games because of me not being too much into hip hop culture (I like hip hop but not a devout listener) and because everyone I knew that played these told me it was better off played in multilplayer and back then I barely had people to play games with To this day I regret that, and also still shocked nowadays Henry Rollins appears in Fight for NY
@@a.mirandahsr If you ever get the chance, definitely try it out, as imo it still holds up. Carmen Electra, Danny Trejo, and a few other random celebs even pop up in the game lol. They really caught lightning in a bottle with this game.
Im gonna say this, if anyone says Fat Joe in fight for new york or NORE in vendetta didnt kick their ass the first time they played then theyre not being honest

That's awesome. I can't imagine how knowledgeable that instructor must have been :0
Did he help out with WC’s Crip Walk blazin?

I'll have to go back and play that for sure. I think the only WCW game I've played is Rampage
@@RedBerylFTW I played world tour and revenge
*gotta love yukes. Legendary studio that produced no mercy, hctp, vendetta, djffny.*
@@canttrustasoul. Uhhh, you might want to fact check that. Only one in that list that was Yukes was HCTP.

Super hyped for the backyard wrestling videos!
Both Def jam Vendetta and Fight for NY are my favourite games of all time.

🍻I think I have something to work FFNY for psp into later on
Loved the Backyard wrestling games!
love the channel, been fun seeing where ya take it since the skateboarding games
Idk man but the intro sounds like something AI would say
I've only played one wrestling game. It's called "The Simpsons Wrestling".
👀
@@RedBerylFTW
Yeah, it's not exactly a good game. It's fun for ten minutes, only to quickly grow boring, stilted and repetitive.
@@fictionalmediabully9830 I keep hearing stories like this about Simpsons Skateboarding as well. Two games I'm not very excited for 🤣

I would definitely try Stoked it felt like early iteration of what Skate would be like on a snowboard
The somewhat monotone voice is a big reason why I stayed and watched your videos when I first found you. Easy to listen to and shit. Good shit, dude.
🍻
Super stoked to see a Backyard Wrestling video.
I loved Vendetta and need to play Fight for NY. Also I see the ICP music in the beginning
Felt just right with the Backyard Wrestling footage

vendetta just looks like wcw/nwo revenge gameplay
EA just needs to remake Simpsons hit and run

He doesn't just appear. He's the only fighter in the game with 4 different styles at once

Fat Joe's pedigree is nasty. When I was a kid it took a week to beat him the first time

Cuz I would never expect that game to ever be rereleased?
It's called RetroAchievements. They've been adding them to older games for a little over a decade now
