My grandads sister gave me a few bulbs last year. She said that they came from my great grandmas plant, and she thought I should have some too as one of the offspring. Hope I can keep it alive and pass it on to my daughter.
Thanks for the info. I have a lot of crinums in my yard planted by the previous homeowner. This is really helpful. I hope to be able to share these beautiful flowers.
Mine is the Pink with white Strips. multiplies with bulbes. when it bears fruit i uses its seeds to propagate . nice & healthy Crinum you have. you explained well the propagation procedure.
Alain Gilbert - I leave all my bulbs in the ground during winter (I am in Zone 9) We did get a really hard freeze this year and lost all the leaves on my Queen Emmas, neck got mushy too, so I just cut the neck off and the plant eventually came back, I only lost one plant, which was the var. Asiaticum. Not sure why I only lost the one as they all looked pretty back. Maybe in Canada, you dig up the bulbs and store in your garage until the last freeze is over.
Thanks for all your great videos and information. If I damage a bulb while digging it up, do I replant it immediately or leave it out to dry and scab over first?
Have crinum x powellii in my yard for decades. Crinum x powellii seeds and propagates so it is everywhere. I collect at least 50 seeds a year and they are very easy to grow.
Nice instruction video, but up in Earstern Canada I wonder how to take care of the plant for the winter? I have a Crinum Queen Emma, what to do withe the leaves and the bulb. Thank you!
I've been propagating crinum from the tubers recently and had an anomaly. One has maroon foliage when all the others are green. Must have been cross polinanted with a queen emma. Anyone else seen any crinum with solid maroon floiage?
Mrs. Davis great video I live in Dallas Texas and I’ve seen some of the flowers you’ve been showing on the video I would love to have some of those here where I live but it’s hard to find. Is there anyway that you can send me one bulb of all the different species and so forth of liliys that you have an all the flowers I’ll be more than happy to pay you for them just tell me how much it is and I’ll send it to a PO Box wherever you want me to send the money and then you can send me the bulbs and the seeds. Please let me know if this is feasible or not I would really appreciate it all the effort you put into it I would be more than happy to pay you God bless you and I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to bring you lots of love peace and prosperity for your family and friends and your flowers lol I love flowers my name is Joe and I’ll be waiting for your response take care for now ✝️✝️✝️
