The Archer in Fate/Extra is more like Alternate Reality counterpart which have different background from the Fate/Stay Night counterpart. His true name in the Moon Cell Holy Grail War is Nameless rather the Heroic Spirit Emiya.
Maybe I'm wrong on this but part of the reason Archer is considered so weak by servant standard is also because he is from the future and no one can recognize or place him. All servants gain boost and their abilities amplified to these supernatural levels due to their stories and feats accomplished in life. But Archer is from the future, his feats and stories have yet to be told or even happen, he can't be recognized because he technically doesn't exist yet. Lancer and Caster both make this observation about his identity with his use of swords despite being a bowman.

As the name suggests, this shield was carried by the Greek Hero Aias The Great (also known as Ajax). Theres no explaination given at all about how Archer came across this shield. But theres a fun bit of fact here: Aias used this shield to protect his half-brother, Teucer, who was an archer that fought with a melee weapon. As for why its a flower... the only explanation I can give is Sakura's keychain. -Caladbolg II The sword of Fergus mac Róich from Irish Mythology, modified to be fired as an arrow. Its purpose is simple: a massive and powerful explosion of magical energy to destroy the target. In one of the VNs Dead Ends, Caladbolg II's blast is shown to be able to kill Saber in a single shot. -Hrunting The sword of the legendary Geatish Hero, Beowulf. This is a homing arrow that will relentlessly chase down its target until they or the arrow is destroyed. Archer can switch targets while the arrow is in mid-flight. -Durandal 7:49 the biggest sword on the left. The longsword of Roland, Paladin of Charlemagne. Due to the weapon requiring little magic to wield and its nearly indestructible edge, Archer uses this as his backup weapon when his mana is low (shown in the VN when he pulls it out against Shirou). He wields it in a style similar to Saber's, likely having copied them during their sparring sessions. -Emiya's Black Bow This bow ISN'T a Emiya original design. Its likely that this bow was used by Rin's Archer Servant of his timeline and Emiya copied it to use as a weapon (the same way Shirou did in the Fate Route). My this is that this Servant is Teucer, who is a master archer from Greek Mythology. However his bow is nothing special (in fact, Zeus broke it) and instead it was his partner and half-brother Aias who carried a popular weapon. It would definitely explain why Rho Aias is a Conceptual Weapon and why the bow has no name. -Avalon Its unknown if Archer can actually use it, but he is aware of its existence and name and is capable of projecting it with 100% accuracy like Shirou does at the end of Fate Route. Its likely that Archer no longer has the actual Avalon on him anymore, since Saber could have only beaten Gilgamesh if she had Avalon on her. We are given hints of Archer using Avalon's healing powers though. Once when his right arm was dislocated after blocking Gae Bolg. And a second time when several of Gilgamesh's Noble Phantasms pierced him. -Caliburn This... is a interesting one. Shirou's Origin and Elemental Affinity is simply "Sword". Thus whenever Shirou performs his magic, a image of a sword appears in his mind. However, the image that appears is Caliburn. Maybe its due to Avalon's influence but Shirou's, and by extension Archer's, mental image of his Origin is Caliburn. Thats likely why Shirou could Project it despite having zero understanding of the weapon and only having seen it in his dreams. There's no reason to doubt that Archer can't do the same.
I think he also forgot to mention that the projection is weaker than the original and he can’t project divine construct like Excalibur(except Avalon as you stated)

14:07 That is actually a common misconception, Archer does not try to kill Shirou so that he can wipe out his own existence. He does it because Alaya (the will of humanity) hates paradoxes and would take steps to kill him because he caused one by killing a past version of him.

@Fred Duwe technically is more like Emiya was turned in just a Heroic spirit upon being recorded on the mooncell, so he just stopped being a Guardian of Alaya isn't it? Hate to nitpick, but technically Archer has been involved in 3 grail wars: the Fuuyuki 5th, Grand Orders, and the Moon Cell because of the Extra series. Before anyone tries to say that Nameless is a different character he is the same person as EMIYA, it has been stated in numerous sources and has been pointed out in every piece of Extra that he appears in
Contradicting what you said at 6:41, looking at the definition of a Noble Phantasm from the TYPE-MOON wiki, Unlimited Blade Works is actually a legitimate Noble Phantasm. "Noble Phantasms... are "crystallized mysteries", powerful armaments made using the imagination of humans as their core, and weapons or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits. They are the embodiment of the ultimate mysteries of a hero that symbolizes one's existence... ...They can also be abstract concepts, like unique abilities, unique means of attacks, curses, and changes to the environment and its physical properties." So even though Unlimited Blade Works isn't doesn't entirely fit the orthodox definition of a Noble Phantasm, it's still classified as a Noble Phantasm because it fits the criteria of "the embodiment of the ultimate mysteries...". So to put it simply, a Noble Phantasm is the icon of a Heroic Spirit; the item or ability that defines their existence. Shirou has both the Origin and Elemental Affinity of "Sword", making the Universe of Endless Blades both his signature ability and the representation of his entire existence.
There's no legend associated with him, though, that's why he is A: not particularly strong stat-wise and B: doesn't possess a Noble Phantasm. Unlimited Blade Works is his mindscape that he uses magecraft to bring out into the world and temporarily overwrite reality. It's not a Noble Phantasm in the traditional sense, and can only be called a Noble Phantasm in that it represents him. Remember, Archer isn't a proper Heroic Spirit - he's a counter guardian. His power comes not from legend but from the Counter Force - however this power is only granted when deployed to counter threats. A Noble Phantasm is generally what represents the Heroic Spirit in legends - Excalibur for King Arther, a great Treasury for Gilgamesh, and a conquering army for Alexander the Great (note that Alexander the Great does not use magecraft and while the Ionian Hetairoi is a reality marble as well it fits the definition of Noble Phantasm because it is part of his legend). Unlimited Blade Works is not a symbol for Emiya in legends (at least not in Stay Night, Fate/Extra is a different case) and thus not a true Noble Phantasm, but it can be called one in that it does represent him.

While it is stated that he is only able to replicate Noble Phantasms that he has personally witnessed/recorded, Archer has used Noble Phantasms such as "Rho Aias" and "Caladbolg II". and while an argument can be made that "Caladbolg II" is just a projectile-based version of Fergus Mac Rólch's Noble Phantasm, and "Rho Aias" is just the name of the shield wielded by Aias the Great (or Ajax, The hero[s] who fought alongside Achilles), It is never expressly stated that Archer has ever met those two heroes, let alone witnessed their noble phantasms being used in order to replicate them. Plus, even if you discount "Rho Aias" and "Caladbolg II", you can still say that his Noble Phantasm is "Unlimited Blade Works". There are Heroic Spirits that have Noble Phantasms that are reality marbles, or are similar in concept to a reality marble; Iskandar Rider has "Ionioi Hetairoi", Nero Saber has "Aestus Domus Aurea", Nobunaga Archer has "Papiyas", Nursery Rhyme Caster has "Nursery Rhyme - Nameless Forest", etc...
Regarding fact 5, Archer can't erase himself from existence by killing a living version of himself. He just believed even if there's a slight chance, he'll take it. His existence is already carved in the Throne of Heroes which exists outside of space and time. He's permanently "written" as a Heroic Spirit and Counter Guardian. Because he does exist in the Throne of Heroes, he can be summoned in Grand Order or just by anyone (assuming they have a catalyst).
You do realize that took toll on Emiya Alter's body. It's harmful and difficult to project guns if I'm remembering correctly, and I think that's why this version of Shirou has the darkest skin tone.
I mean he should be since even though his main focus of projection is sword due to his origin, since guns are weapons he should be able to project as he could project other weapons like spears, axes, and things that are conceptual weapons such as the sheild Rho Ais and Medea's rule breaker. So he should be able to project guns which another question runs through my is that why doesn't he as unlike his other weapons which gaia would constantly try to destroy due to them being copies that wouldn't guns be safe from gaia trying to destroy them exsistance
Well we don't really know if he does project guns or would prefer stick to swords. I would think guns would only suffice when trying to stay off the radar. When he is a CG there really isn't a point into projecting guns since he already is given plenty of magical energy from alaya to simply use broken phantasms and kill his target.
Although seeing as how you can summon a servant without a catalyst, if Rin didn't use her amulet that saved Shirou, she would've had a good shot at summoning Artoria. And Archer is probably my favorite Fate character.
There are more than 1 emiya on fgo. Archer Emiya, Emiya alter, and Emiya(Shirou's adopted father). And ruler Amakusa Shirou and angra mango has Emiya face😂😂😂.
Id like add that he shares plenty of symbolism with arturia. In short words, their similar fate. Giving more strength to the connection between shiro and saber.

Another about emiya: In a theorical level he is able not only to use but to spam broken phantasms with enough mana (a broken phantasm is when a heroic spirit pushes his noble phantasm to the point of self destruction in exchange to multiply its power a lot, for Arash noble phantasm Stella is often classified as a broken phantasm due to its nature and power)
Bonus Fact: Technically he was only in 2 Grail Wars but he has been summoned as a True Heroic Spirit in the Moon Cell Holy Grail War instead of a Counter Guardian Heroic Spirit Bonus Fact 2: The first thing that caused his ideals to waver was Illya's death due to her only being able to live a single year after Fate route

Emiya himself is pretty cool asa the spirit he is, but from all the Shirous that are in the Fate universe, Miyus brother still is my favorite *_* right between the Shirou and Emiya
He becomes a mix of HF Shirou ideals being around one person, Archer Emiya slowly getting the skin tone and white hair from magic overuse, and Kiritsugu's being broken yet bad arse and getting things done. Best of all worlds
Its basically the fate route, except he and saber never understood each others ideals, and never became close. As such, Shirou never wanted to go to Avalon, and instead went with Rin to London to train and become a hero of justice. Saber went back to achieve her mission, becoming a heroic spirit because of it. In other words: both the saber and archer you see in FGO are from the archer emiya timeline...

I'd assume it would still be an archer, and since there was no catalyst to the summon, it would have to be someone with a similar personality to Rin. That does not tell us much, except that servants like Atalante or Nobu, who aren't similar to her, most likely aren't. Obviously neither Orion could be, since 1 is a new servant thanks to hitching a ride on an existing spirit origin, and the other being a grand, and Ishtar not being available because... well... divine spirit and all, I can safely conclude this. I have no idea.
The creater in a Q&A has said Emiya made the contract with the world in his late 20s to early 30s and it changed his hair, skin, and eyes and he continued to live after this event. Archer was gifted his cloak by a priest that was a MC in another story and she waa stated to love curry
You forgot to mention he also cannot project objects of divine construction or material such as Gil's Ea but Excalibur being an exception at a fatal risk. Considering the fate route, Avalon is the only divine object he can project perfectly.

Archer kinda embodies the idea I had for a either MMO or Isekai anime where the main character, instead of developing better more powerfull skills, he invest more on the low level ones, relying on being crafty with the low level skills instead of just abusing powerfull skills to beat his opponents. What I love when an underdog story, if done right, is that they aren't just dependent of raw strenght, but have the ingenuity to know with what they are working with and use 100% of said tools/skills. If there's an anime like that, send me the name.

I am by no means an expert but heres my rough take on it. The exact underlying mechanisms of class cards is ambiguous other than "Kaladiscope Shenanigans" with maybe a dash of heavens feel for flavour. A common interpretation is that the card points to a template somewhere in the multiverse, and then uses something resembling alteration magecraft to impose part of that template on you. Thus, if she were to have access to UBW it wouldn't strictly speaking be hers, unaffected by her inner nature, instead accessing the UBW of some Archer elsewhere.
I love the way the voice after in the English version of unlimited blade works did his role when archer emia faced his past self (shiro emia) made my hair stand on end more than once when he got more and more pissed at his past self.....

Before anyone tries to say that Nameless is a different character he is the same person as EMIYA, it has been stated in numerous sources and has been pointed out in every piece of Extra that he appears in
Contradicting what you said at 6:41, looking at the definition of a Noble Phantasm from the TYPE-MOON wiki, Unlimited Blade Works is actually a legitimate Noble Phantasm.
"Noble Phantasms... are "crystallized mysteries", powerful armaments made using the imagination of humans as their core, and weapons or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits. They are the embodiment of the ultimate mysteries of a hero that symbolizes one's existence... ...They can also be abstract concepts, like unique abilities, unique means of attacks, curses, and changes to the environment and its physical properties."
So even though Unlimited Blade Works isn't doesn't entirely fit the orthodox definition of a Noble Phantasm, it's still classified as a Noble Phantasm because it fits the criteria of "the embodiment of the ultimate mysteries...". So to put it simply, a Noble Phantasm is the icon of a Heroic Spirit; the item or ability that defines their existence. Shirou has both the Origin and Elemental Affinity of "Sword", making the Universe of Endless Blades both his signature ability and the representation of his entire existence.
And it's not that different in practice from Iskandar's Ionian Hetairoi (think that's how you spell it).
There's no legend associated with him, though, that's why he is A: not particularly strong stat-wise and B: doesn't possess a Noble Phantasm. Unlimited Blade Works is his mindscape that he uses magecraft to bring out into the world and temporarily overwrite reality. It's not a Noble Phantasm in the traditional sense, and can only be called a Noble Phantasm in that it represents him.
Remember, Archer isn't a proper Heroic Spirit - he's a counter guardian. His power comes not from legend but from the Counter Force - however this power is only granted when deployed to counter threats. A Noble Phantasm is generally what represents the Heroic Spirit in legends - Excalibur for King Arther, a great Treasury for Gilgamesh, and a conquering army for Alexander the Great (note that Alexander the Great does not use magecraft and while the Ionian Hetairoi is a reality marble as well it fits the definition of Noble Phantasm because it is part of his legend). Unlimited Blade Works is not a symbol for Emiya in legends (at least not in Stay Night, Fate/Extra is a different case) and thus not a true Noble Phantasm, but it can be called one in that it does represent him.

While it is stated that he is only able to replicate Noble Phantasms that he has personally witnessed/recorded, Archer has used Noble Phantasms such as "Rho Aias" and "Caladbolg II". and while an argument can be made that "Caladbolg II" is just a projectile-based version of Fergus Mac Rólch's Noble Phantasm, and "Rho Aias" is just the name of the shield wielded by Aias the Great (or Ajax, The hero[s] who fought alongside Achilles), It is never expressly stated that Archer has ever met those two heroes, let alone witnessed their noble phantasms being used in order to replicate them.
Plus, even if you discount "Rho Aias" and "Caladbolg II", you can still say that his Noble Phantasm is "Unlimited Blade Works". There are Heroic Spirits that have Noble Phantasms that are reality marbles, or are similar in concept to a reality marble; Iskandar Rider has "Ionioi Hetairoi", Nero Saber has "Aestus Domus Aurea", Nobunaga Archer has "Papiyas", Nursery Rhyme Caster has "Nursery Rhyme - Nameless Forest", etc...

Regarding fact 5, Archer can't erase himself from existence by killing a living version of himself. He just believed even if there's a slight chance, he'll take it. His existence is already carved in the Throne of Heroes which exists outside of space and time. He's permanently "written" as a Heroic Spirit and Counter Guardian. Because he does exist in the Throne of Heroes, he can be summoned in Grand Order or just by anyone (assuming they have a catalyst).

You do realize that took toll on Emiya Alter's body. It's harmful and difficult to project guns if I'm remembering correctly, and I think that's why this version of Shirou has the darkest skin tone.
I mean he should be since even though his main focus of projection is sword due to his origin, since guns are weapons he should be able to project as he could project other weapons like spears, axes, and things that are conceptual weapons such as the sheild Rho Ais and Medea's rule breaker. So he should be able to project guns which another question runs through my is that why doesn't he as unlike his other weapons which gaia would constantly try to destroy due to them being copies that wouldn't guns be safe from gaia trying to destroy them exsistance
Well we don't really know if he does project guns or would prefer stick to swords. I would think guns would only suffice when trying to stay off the radar. When he is a CG there really isn't a point into projecting guns since he already is given plenty of magical energy from alaya to simply use broken phantasms and kill his target.
Although seeing as how you can summon a servant without a catalyst, if Rin didn't use her amulet that saved Shirou, she would've had a good shot at summoning Artoria. And Archer is probably my favorite Fate character.

Its basically the fate route, except he and saber never understood each others ideals, and never became close. As such, Shirou never wanted to go to Avalon, and instead went with Rin to London to train and become a hero of justice. Saber went back to achieve her mission, becoming a heroic spirit because of it.
In other words: both the saber and archer you see in FGO are from the archer emiya timeline...

I'd assume it would still be an archer, and since there was no catalyst to the summon, it would have to be someone with a similar personality to Rin. That does not tell us much, except that servants like Atalante or Nobu, who aren't similar to her, most likely aren't. Obviously neither Orion could be, since 1 is a new servant thanks to hitching a ride on an existing spirit origin, and the other being a grand, and Ishtar not being available because... well... divine spirit and all, I can safely conclude this.

The creater in a Q&A has said Emiya made the contract with the world in his late 20s to early 30s and it changed his hair, skin, and eyes and he continued to live after this event. Archer was gifted his cloak by a priest that was a MC in another story and she waa stated to love curry
You forgot to mention he also cannot project objects of divine construction or material such as Gil's Ea but Excalibur being an exception at a fatal risk.
Considering the fate route, Avalon is the only divine object he can project perfectly.
Also if he project the same weapon as the person he is fighting, he would lose as the weapon he projects is slightly weaker.

Archer kinda embodies the idea I had for a either MMO or Isekai anime where the main character, instead of developing better more powerfull skills, he invest more on the low level ones, relying on being crafty with the low level skills instead of just abusing powerfull skills to beat his opponents.
What I love when an underdog story, if done right, is that they aren't just dependent of raw strenght, but have the ingenuity to know with what they are working with and use 100% of said tools/skills.

Idk if you'll ever read this or not, with it being so late, but if you are, since Chloe is technically shiro through the power of the card she's fused with, do you think she would be capable of unlimited blade works? And if so, what do you think hers would look like?
I am by no means an expert but heres my rough take on it. The exact underlying mechanisms of class cards is ambiguous other than "Kaladiscope Shenanigans" with maybe a dash of heavens feel for flavour. A common interpretation is that the card points to a template somewhere in the multiverse, and then uses something resembling alteration magecraft to impose part of that template on you. Thus, if she were to have access to UBW it wouldn't strictly speaking be hers, unaffected by her inner nature, instead accessing the UBW of some Archer elsewhere.
