I live 2 hours from the Driftless Glen Distillery. Their Cask Strength Bourbon is fantastic. I also found a Cask Strength store pick that is so good. Worth trying. Knob Creek Single Barrel 120 proof store picks are $59.99 all day by me. Larceny C923 hit by me 2-3 weeks ago. It is good, but I prefer B523. $400 for Stagg Jr 🤣🤣 I paid $60 each for 5 of the 8 bottles I own. 🥃

If you like a bold smokey flavor the campfire is you. I like drinking it literally sitting around a campfire with friends on a cold winter night its a very specific kinda whiskey

Distillery 291 has some good shit for sure, and they're some of the nicest people I've ever met! Specifically, I love the bottle "E" (experimental) batch 11.
There are 3 to 5 stores in the NEGA are that have the black top Early Times. They do have the blue shrink wrap but have the black caps underneath. 2 of the stores always rotate them to the back on the bottom shelf, so you really have to get down and look.
That KC Maple is a cocktail only bourbon IMO especially for fall. Smoked maple bourbon OF 2oz smoked maple bourbon 1/2 oz simple 4 dashes of fee brothers black walnut bitters Use a cocktail smoker on the drink Garnish with orange rind and good cocktail cherry You can also substitute the recipe above with a flavored simple syrup and it’s fantastic
I had to start mixing the smoked maple with other Knob Creek. The smoked maple by itself was incredibly sweet and over powering. Agree it’s a cocktail only 👍🏼
Coopers 100 is a great deal considering all the other crap that is massively over priced. It is a always BUY when I run out. Sip, Mix, on ice, Coke, Neat whatever.. its great. Knob Creek Maple .. its like Maple Syrup for panckakes.. I use a drab on my mix for Manhatan or Whsikey drinks .. delicious.. a bottle will last you a long long time. Sipping neat not so much. The Big House.. that had me laughing. You gota get it.
The price for the tin cup 10 year is very good and where it should be IMO. Near me it’s $55-60. That Giant whiskey from TX was recommended one time at Total Wine and it was a drain pour.
Couldn’t agree more. Regular Larceny is funky like old moldy socks. Even the BP isn’t very good to me. Coopers BIB is the best value in all of whiskey IMO.

Had a pour of Jefferson's Reserve Aged At Sea at a bar Friday night. I don't think I'll pick up a bottle for the price they are. It was good but would rather get Knob or Russell's for cheaper and better drink IMO.
Bottles always drops stuff on Fridays and Morganellis is a nice family owned store. I don’t know much about those stores there since when I was in college I didnt drink the nice stuff 😂
I just snagged up on the first addition 2023 10 year plus a 14 and a 17 Fitzgerald the 10-year unfortunately has been getting bad reviews if that's true what a shame

Yeah, it’s nasty. It’s overwhelmingly sweet and artificial tasting. Honestly, if it’s something you really want to try, get a cocktail smoker kit and stir in a few drops of pure maple syrup to your taste in a KC 9 year pour and you can get much better results.

Bowman prices are all heavily inflated before the 4 min mark. Should be around $50 for the Port Finished and $45-50 for John J Bowman single barrel
