"Over packing" our creature comforts: If you didn't take that "extra something" you'll probably miss it or need it. "FREEDOM" Isn't it funny: when we were kids we always told parents where we were going. We insisted our kids tells us where they are going. We also found that when we camped (as adults) we were calling our kids and telling them where we were going. lol "Not to worry" I guess. Those trees were surely something never seen before and of course, the flowers and the view of the water from up high was fantastic. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Used to go to Yellowcraigs with the annual taxi drivers outing for special needs schools. My daughter was at a special needs school 21 years ago. The taxi drivers were so good with the children and so kind, giving up a day’s work. Great memories. 🥰 Loved your vlog. X

Yes! Freedom! How I wish we have a campervan. We always do camping. Not last year because of covid. We did once this year in Devon. Hopefully another one or if not next year. We we're just in north Berwick last week. A very beautiful place.

I believe trees like your candelabra tree were trained to grow in a specific way hundreds of years ago by ship makers to make the stem posts at the bow of a ship. I guess they were made from a hardwood like oak.I don't know what variety your tree was,maybe it's just a coincidence.

Great to see you out again, we are very fond of North Berwick it’s a lovely area. A few years ago we enjoyed a photography excursion to Bass Rock to see the Gannets, that was awesome. A few more days and we are off in our van back up to Galloway. Looking forward to your next trip, stay safe.

Thanks, a wee snippet on how we pack at the start of our next video. Only so many allowed into the toilets at a time but we had no problems with it, I think larger vans were mostly using their own facilities

Hi Irene, glad you found us. We do leave it out in the rain it will not do it any harm, just make one end slightly higher or you will get a bulge and have to reach and push up to tip it out. In wind we peg it down but if extreme we would take it in. We have recently bought storm straps for it, not had these in a video yet and we forgot to take them on the last one, but we will be showing them.

Hi - another entertaining and very informative vlog. We really enjoy the commentary style - very relaxing to listen to. On the campsite were you using a sun canopy with side attachments? And if you were does that incur the awning fee that the club sites usually charge? I know a sun canopy is free (we have a fiamma on our vw campervan) and we are thinking of getting side panels as an easy way of providing shelter (we had a Vango awning but gave it away as it really was hard stressful work putting it up and taking it down) . Hi, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it and good question, to be honest I hadn't even thought about it so really don't know. Awnings can be a divorce in a bag, we sometimes just use the canope and sides, I expect they would class it as an awning, but what if you just put on 1 side, or 2 sides, or front panel as well. Who knows. The pitch we had included awning but I think they all did.
Hiya. Loving your vlogs. How are you getting on with the portapotty and is the sleeping area warm during winter. Asking as can’t decide between camper van and motor home. Feel as if I need a loo. Too old now and want a wee bit of luxury lol
Too old? No way unless your photo is 30 years ago. Portapotty....we seldom use it as on campsites most of the time, and pee bottles for through the night and Trish uses a she wee (yuk I know but for through the night and she says you get used to it). Bed nice and cozy in winter and diesel heater in van is great. One day when we are old(er) we may get a moho.

Yep, and the car park next to the site is also good for a wild camp, so long as you get a ticket for the next day as the wardens are around early.

Thanks, a wee snippet on how we pack at the start of our next video. Only so many allowed into the toilets at a time but we had no problems with it, I think larger vans were mostly using their own facilities

Hi, I am a new subscriber, that was a lovely video, thank you. We have just exchanged our van and the new one has a Thule awning, which we haven’t had before. Just a quick question: do you leave yours out in the rain or wind it back in? Are the sides easy to put on? Just off now to catch up on another of your videos. 💕🐾
Hi Irene, glad you found us. We do leave it out in the rain it will not do it any harm, just make one end slightly higher or you will get a bulge and have to reach and push up to tip it out. In wind we peg it down but if extreme we would take it in. We have recently bought storm straps for it, not had these in a video yet and we forgot to take them on the last one, but we will be showing them.

Yes 👍 they were open, rubber band system with limited cubicles but if was totally fine.

Hi - another entertaining and very informative vlog. We really enjoy the commentary style - very relaxing to listen to. On the campsite were you using a sun canopy with side attachments? And if you were does that incur the awning fee that the club sites usually charge? I know a sun canopy is free (we have a fiamma on our vw campervan) and we are thinking of getting side panels as an easy way of providing shelter (we had a Vango awning but gave it away as it really was hard stressful work putting it up and taking it down) . Hi, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it and good question, to be honest I hadn't even thought about it so really don't know. Awnings can be a divorce in a bag, we sometimes just use the canope and sides, I expect they would class it as an awning, but what if you just put on 1 side, or 2 sides, or front panel as well. Who knows. The pitch we had included awning but I think they all did.
Hiya. Loving your vlogs. How are you getting on with the portapotty and is the sleeping area warm during winter. Asking as can’t decide between camper van and motor home. Feel as if I need a loo. Too old now and want a wee bit of luxury lol
Too old? No way unless your photo is 30 years ago. Portapotty....we seldom use it as on campsites most of the time, and pee bottles for through the night and Trish uses a she wee (yuk I know but for through the night and she says you get used to it). Bed nice and cozy in winter and diesel heater in van is great. One day when we are old(er) we may get a moho.
