My fav version w/o bias… these unknown to me musicians in Jerry’s band earned their place on the top shelf for me in this performance. Perfection… ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!
Anyone know where to find the version from Greyfox w/ Jerry and Chris Thile? Seems to have been taken down, it was from a documentary about Greyfox that aired on PBS years ago.
The best acoustic jam tune of all time. Transcendent. I'm taking Guthrie's lessons on country electric guitar at Artistworks. I had no idea he played with JD for awhile. His acoustic stuff is as impressive as his electric. The boy must be an alien. In fact all these guys must be from another planet
Well, nobody answered in 5 years, so I guess I'll never know...although...Jerry Douglas Band, touring in 2008...should be researchable. Anyway, love this version, a little pared down in terms of lineup, but nice jazzy treatments of the breaks, love it!
Always been biased toward O’Connor on the fiddle but Luke is doing this one so well here that I just can’t imagine it sounding any better even if Mark was playing.
I've always loved this song. No matter what version!

Here I am several years later asking the same question! Guess someone or someone’s bot copyright claimed it.
